I find thats a useful feature... you know what road/junction is coming up... especially for non well-lit areas...

From the ways you guys are spending $$ on accessories etc for your MAZDA 3, its seems like the economy doing well and your jobs are secure?

I believe you have housing, car loans. Better save up for a rainy day. The next to go could be YOU.

Rude as it sounds, the fact is there is no metal rice bowl nowadays.

Thanks for concern bro. I wont say my job is secure or the economy is doing well (I am sure some people are facing a hard time now).

Some bros change tyres and rims for better performance, and I am sure safety is part of their considerations too. Some things are just too precious that money cannot buy

I set my audio speed limit warning on all the time. Annoying as it may sometimes be 'You are above the speed limit', it does help to know what the max speed of the road is as there aren't always signs on the road when you're specifically looking for them.

Finally managed to find a few hrs for plasti-dipping! Stage 1 complete, only managed to do front. From far looks ok, but it's far from perfect...not easy man. Some parts still too thin after 4 coats. Thk may come off when go for car wash. Anyway love the look for now. Next week eibach springs and body kit. Just in time for CNY! :)

Guys, other than design stuff, what are the essential differences between HB and Sedan?

    1) HB doesn't have the unlock boot button on its remote fob

    2) HB has a heavier kerb weight

    3) HB has a higher OMV

    4) HB backseat feels more spacious due to more headroom.

    More to add,

HB has exhaust pipe showing at rear, Sedan don't. 2.0L has 2 exhaust at the back. 1.5L has 1.

    HB has sharkfin antenna.

HB without the rear boot can 'feel' the car sizing easily, very easy to move in and out of traffic. You can see the "rear" of your car from the side mirror. For sedan, you probably need to add another 1.5 feet to merge into the front of another car.

    HB has rear wiper.

HB has no auto boot release.

HB has shorter boot when the seat are up, but opens up bigger if one or 2 seats are down for bulky items.

I can never understand why HB weighs more dispite the shorter length.

    Hey guys,

Posted a couple of weeks regarding a tak-tak-tak sound that was coming from the dash area when I drove over uneven surfaces.

Well, I think I've found the damn culprit.

If you guys have the Blaupunkt camera installed by TEK, take a look at it. It is attached via suction cup somewhere behind the rear view mirror, and the camera has its wire running through a casing to the car ceiling.

Check out the casing. I found out that the sound was coming from there. It's not very tightly fit. When I held it while driving, the sound went away. When I let it go, the sound came back.

Think that's the problem. Will see what I can do about it.

Hope it solves your problem too!

I also feels like I am belong to the older generation but the older generation probably thinks I am not... Haha

It is more on perspective I think. My mum is definitely older generation and thinks I spent alot just on getting a car. But then my grandmother (mum's mum) probably thinks my mum spends alot.

The thing is to spend within one means and spend on things that brings more value (e.g. improve safety), once in a while can indulge a bit to produce happy hormones that fight off cancer!!

HB has shorter boot when the seat are up, but opens up bigger if one or 2 seats are down for bulky items.

I can never understand why HB weighs more dispite the shorter length.

I think it because do not have the longer boot, more focus on the reinforcement to ensure that passenger safety is not compromise in the event of rear collision, hence heavier.

Haha i am also careful with my spending. I spend what i can and within my means.

From what i see the mods here are discussed, they are cheap mods really. Wheels, bodykits, stickers etc

I have some standards on how i want my car photos to be.

Better get the touch up paint from TransEurokars as the touch up paint comes in 2 small bottle. Need to apply both inner and outer coats.

What do you meant inner and outer coats? 2 diff bottle for 2 purposes? - any pics?

Some bro here use the touch-up pen bot outside instead of the bottle type... wondering really any diff?

that's the thing... require, at minimum, two people (one with moving camera rig on camera car and remote control inside), but more probably minimum 3:

driver who driver photographer, and driver of target car.

It feels a bit stiff, but the difference is almost unnoticable compared to stock. The car is sitting quite low, especially the front with the Mazdaspeed kit. Be very careful when you drive up a ramp. I scraped the bottom of my lip just now going up a ramp.

Sharing some pics with you guys. The wheel gap still look a bit huge in the photo, but it is actually only about 2-finger-high without passengers inside.

Maybe you set your AC temp too low? If the cabin temp goes higher than the temp that you set, the iStop will deactivate. Perhaps the day is hot so the iStop deactivates rather quickly because the cabin temp is way too warm.

Yeah, this is similar to the one offered by the SE usually. I got mine from outside tho.

It's not bad if your ride height is stock. You can still drive it a bit chorlo. It only becomes dangerously low after the car is lowered haha. Found that out the hard way.
