Wow.. Tenet insurance seem to be much cheaper.. Only 1.5k as compared to AIG 2.5k.

Anyone has experience with Tenet before? I have never heard about them before [:p].

but i'm all for pointing middle finger to idiots though.

+1 to this. Some idiots even rush on Sundays, like they have an urgent appointment with the kingdom of hell.

I try not to judge any driver... What if they are rushing to the hospital to see their loved ones one last time? Or some other urgent matters.

And for myself, I also feel better when I don't judge them. I just try to drive safe, drive better.

Oh... One brother here mentioned over here so I check them out. The price appear to be reasonable as the quote is quite near direct Asia.

Maybe I will just stick with AIG for try first year.

Hmm i personally despise peeps whom do this during traffic jams. How can "ruthless" acceleration and jam braking be "preventing accident most of the time".

Its already a jam, just roll and drive consistently will give better consequence for all rather than accelerate and jam brake. even if cars weave in and out of lanes to get into the faster lane, end day it'll all be the same, sometimes a lane is faster sometimes its slower.

its this kind of ungracious and caring for ownself attitude that makes driving experience such a stressful one during jams, only here exclusive in SG.

Ugly singaporean, ugly behavior. This is the harsh truth whether you like it or not bro. Can always point the finger at others, but everyone out there in the jam will still point the finger back at you.

    Hard truth paiseh :)

    .... 100 points praise

Yes that's e speed limit which u can stay in other lanes if you wanna travel at those speed. Don't block those whom wanna pay money to lta ma.

    Haha bro, u are right!

    This is what I did.

First 1000km, rpm below 2 and speed below 100km/HR

1k - 5k, rpm below 3 and speed below 100km/h. I intend to follow this until oil change at 10k servicing.

I see, my SE told me during my test drive that occasionally shld rev the engine till 5 or 6 rpm to keep the engine in good condition. For me, My new ride has traveled 450km so far, I keep to around 2.5 and below. Will run in help to prevent future problems in future?

Disclaimer first... This is my personal opinion, take it with a pinch of salt if you think needed.

The skyactiv engine is made in Japan and they are known to be very precise. Therefore I don't think during run-in there will be large size debris. There may be smaller debris though. If hard rev, it will likely accelerate the wear and tear of the engine exponentially, and if u do this during the run in period (no oil change yet, debris still inside), it can be more harmful to your engine?

Again this is my opinion, may not be right.

Is there a quiet (less car, traffic lights) and rather long road in SG that I can test out the manual transmission for my vehicle? Trying to understand the "mystical bond between man and machine"...

The road from Commonwealth to Farrer to Adam to Braddell to Bartley, all the way to Tampines is quite nice in the wee mornings or late at night. Got turns and up and down to play. But look out for speed trap on Adam road, Macritchie & Braddell.

An alternative, thanks! Will do that when I am high on caffeine. By the way, I am not trying to speed, just wanna test out how to toggle the manual transmission

What exactly you want to test? careful when you downshift, make sure don't over rev, may not have rev cut resulting in blown engine. For example, don't downshift to 1st or 2nd gear when you are at 70km/hr.

Ok it is a bit hard to explain but I will try...

Let's say I brake as I try to make a left turn, seeing no incoming cars and my car didn't make a complete stop. At this point, I try to accelerate again but I feel that the car is not exactly picking up speed until a couple of secs later. I am thinking if manually shift down will help. Anyway, without shifting down, I know of a "trick" to overcome this already. Just that I wanna test if manual is better.

Another reason is that, I wonder if I can shift up from gear 1 to 3 faster and better than Mazda AT.

Lastly, I kind of miss the good old days of driving manual. When I was in Europe the last time, driving manual jin shiok....

You try and let us know. But with auto transmission, there will always be a lag although the paddle shifter can help a bit. The ECU needs time to sense the throttle postion and gear that you are in. I also miss the control of a manual box. I am hoping the new manual Mazdaspeed will be launched soon and make it here.

Mazda 3 isn't equipped with dual-clutch gearbox so you will feel a bit of lag in between gear switch even when using the paddle shifter.

Will Mazdaspeed 3 be available in the Asian market? It used to be available only in the North American market.

Just to share my experience with Revol. I did PPS on my old car at their Toh Guan branch a long time ago. They did a splendid job the first time around. Gavin (I think he is the manager there) made sure things were done properly and to your satisfaction. He has now moved to their AMK branch if I am not mistaken. For my subsequent touch-up sessions in their TG branch, I feel the quality of their work wasn't as good as previously. The branch was like run by no one and I feel the staff there suka... suka... and never pay that much attention to details.

With Gavin there, I think the AMK branch is better supervised and much more well-run.

Anyway, they could've rectified the issue now. They are well respected grooming company and receive many exotic cars daily.

ya if stay near west side i think is ok to go that one.

I did my 2nd pps with Revol as well. Overall experience is better than the previous one. I believe pps can only last for the most 6 to 9 months. So I don't believe in 3 years warranty or some lifetime warranty. Warranty cover what? I signed up a package which includes 1 first time coating and 3 maintenance session over the next 3 years. So I hope the following session will be good as well.

If so those 3 maintenance cannot make it ah how come must do second pps after half a year wor?

The first pps is from a different company. It's only a 1 time pps with warranty (can't remember how many years). It warrant the shine to a certain reading. If the reading fall below then they do a touch up or something like that.

I am planning n thinking since the day i collected my babe... 3 months past... Still thinking... Sigh!! $$$$$$$ ....
Btw for 18" , the right size is 215/45/R18 stated in manual. But don't think is common size right? Common size in sg is 225/40/R18 right?

    225/45 also can.

Yup, agree 100% on PPS can last only 6-9 months. Still have to return to for maintenance/touch up sessions after the first session.

Haha please don't bro. I am not a Mazda 3 owner. I cannot vouch for the price for Mazda 3. [smash] [thumbsdown] :a-bang:

Haha... joking lah, bro. Anyway I did mention that all the bros here on MCF recommended Opti-Shine. They gave me a small discount for that.

i used to feel it, especially the braking pressure between istop activation and not. complained at servicing and thereafter no more issues. not sure what it is...
