Hmm.. i am just thinking out loud, please don't scold me..lol

Anyone worried that you might accidentally forgot to shut the moon/sun roof and the car was park in the open carpark, your kids might itchy hand go open it and you leave the car forgotten to close it.? When heavy rain, the rain will get inside the car...

is there any safety precaution pertaining to this? e.g. the moon roof will auto close when it sense the rain.

wa biang! that's not a con!

user's problem is the con! you are supposed to make sure all doors are locked, same as e moon roof. kns all the electronics like autolock and all make the human lazier lei. haha.

Sadly no... The moon roof won't move if the engine is off, think it consume too much power.

Anyway, something I discover. If say the car is parked under the hot sun for very long. When you get in your car, open your moon roof and blast your air con. 2 min (or less) is all it takes to remove the hot air and your car cools faster.

Does anyone know how to reset total istop time?

Also does anyone notice that the headlight is slightly higher on the left? Not sure it is suppose to be like this.

depending on the condition. especially under hot afternoon, if the car detect a drop in temperature, the Istop may stop and engine may start.

I think you can tweak around the setting.

Yup if u go to "application" u can see that 3 conditions got to be met for istop, namely engine, battery and air-con. You probably set auto for air-con and once the car detected that it is unable to sustain the set temp, istop will be deactivated

I always do that too, whenever i want to flush the inside air (esp after buying fried chicken), i open sun roof and travel 40-50km/hr, after 2 mins no more smell!

of coz i have a carbon pack too [bounce2][bounce2]

Say remember last time someone mentioned something abt some vibration from the engine right? rpm drop then go up again.

i felt the same thing this morning.

    1) was at a traffic light

    2) i-stop was off.

    3) was on slope so brake was fully depressed

    4) then felt the engine vibrate - it was quick like 2 sec? then gone.

    5) noticed the rpm drop to 500 then went back up to abt 800.

    anyone encountered this b4?

exactly the same issue. after vibrating for about 3 secs, the rpm will bump up again to 800 rpm and the vibration will stop.

If i did not disable i stop, the rpm stays constant at 800 rpm and no vibration problem..

Bros... Seems like vibration is a hot topic now. I believe those whom have this issue may be having different scenario. Perhaps documenting what condition u face this problem will be beneficial for TEK to solve. Let's start like this:

Model: 2 or 3, standard or deluxe
    Production Date or Collection Date:
    Mileage:
Aircon: on or off, temp setting
    Other Accessories (lights, ICE etc):

Who knows, this vibration may be due to certain condition then will have...

    Production Date: Sept. 2015
    Mileage: 5000+
    Aircon: on, 25
Other Accessories (lights, ICE etc): On and Off
Comments: tried with everything mentioned above both on and off, true rpm will drop but to minimum 600. Haven't seen 500 before. So far no vibration.

I being driving my new Mazda 3 1.5L Sedan Deluxe for a week , i am lucky everything is find at the moment . For i-stop issue , actually i find is very useful to save some fuel and is easy to adapt to your driving habit , i can easily decide to stop engine or to keep engine running by my right foot , no issue to me at all . Maybe the only issue i have is the dash-cam installed position is little bit too low for me , i will prefer dash-cam to hide behind rear mirror so it will not block my front view while driving . i came from 2006 Lexus IS250 , Lexus is well known quiet cabin , i think if i can get use to the noise level while driving , i believe others will soon get use to it too .Power wise for a 1.5L NA engine is really good enough , FC not really tested yet but see from other bros here should be as good as other B&B cars .Design wise , i think non of the Japanese B&B cars come close , just my 0.02 !

My front cam is installed behind the rear mirror. During the 1k servicing, you can try asking the SA to adjust for you. During mine, I asked my SA to fix a wire (see my previous posts) and it has been solved. I think they will try to help.

    Aircon: on, 25
Other Accessories (lights, ICE etc): On and Off
Comments: tried with everything mentioned above both on and off, true rpm will drop but to minimum 600. Haven't seen 500 before. So far no vibration.

Hi just curious, for normal situation, when the car is stationary in a traffic junction, whats the normal rmp like?

When you want to up gear , e.g. 4th to 5th, you increase the rev by stepping the acceleration pedal right? Then down gear 4th to 3rd, you step on break to decrease the rev?

When mine is stationary, it is around 600 to 800. Mostly 800 rpm.

To step up gear, u have to reach a min speed before the gear change. On flat road, my car continues to accelerate at around 2k, once reach a certain speed, the gear changes. My point being, no need to step harder to increase rev. This is true from on a level road to around 80+km. At this speed already 6th gear, any increase in rev will increase speed.

anyone know what TEK will change in the 10,000km free servicing? Air filter? engine oil? brake pad?

Can we ask for synthetic engine oil?

Definitely using fully syn oil. I think only oil and oil filter.

Let me try to explain, assuming you are on auto gear.

If you want to get to the highest gear quickly, you should just apply gentle constant pressure on gas pedal, say upto to 2000 rpm & maintain that pressure, the gear box will automatically changes to the higher gear once it reaches the programmed speed until it reaches the 6th gear.

If you apply sudden pressure say when you are at at 40kmh at 2000rpm & stepped hard on pedal, it will sense that you needed power hence gear will drop down.

Also, when you are on auto & switch to manual, it will typically drop 1 gear down as it is 'smart' enuf to sense that you need more power since you shift to manual.

Just installed the noise isolation rubber tubing (don't know what it's called ) bought from taobao. Used to have problem with the engine vibration from bus beside my car cos I can "feel" it.. After installation, vibration from bus is significantly reduced. Does not reduce noise from rough road though. Took around 1 plus hours to install.
Anyone can guide me on setting the minimum aircon temp before istop deactivate? Cos I can't find it in the application -> fuel economy .

Usually if the istop will deactivate when you set you air conditioning temperature too low. It won't activate if your max your air con. Usually at night the istop works better.

basically yes. 1.5l m3 doesnt have the power and torque to rev higher so the ecu will tell the transmission to drop a gear for higher rev. its quite obvious as you will feel the jerk when the gear changes.

I had thoughts of changing before getting the car too. But after sleeping on it for one night, felt that initial choice more suited for me.

hope dont make any rash decision bro

If one has too many $100 notes, it won't be in the pockets or wallets anymore...
And quietly kept in somewhere that nobody will know about it... especially the other half...
