Hi, finally sign on the dotted line, just want to share my experience for all future buyers..lol

Morning i went to Ubi Mazda show room, not very packed also, attended by a male SE, name start with "E" , told me Mazda 3 deluxe selling at $99,888 (6 bid guarantee) , after all discount, interest at 2.38%, freebies is standard solar film, in car cam (only 1 channel, Philip) and only free service up till 10K, if want up till 60K free servicing, got to top up $1,000. I tried to bargain for the free 3 year service , other freebies,or any ways to give discount but he say cannot give as the price is already very low compare to Car expo which is selling at $102,000. Attitude very reluctant to give. No offer me drink

Then i went to Leng Kee, the Lady SE more steady, straight away offer me drink and tell me upfront $1,000 discount, so Mazda 3 deluxe selling at $98,888 ( but 7 bid guarantee) , after all discount, interest at 2.38%, freebies is standard solar film, in car cam (but 2 channel , Papago) , free service also up till 10K. But i bargain for more free service and end up she offer free service up till 40K, but i got to take 8 bids instead, which i am ok with it, as i am not in a rush. I also steady, straight away sign with her, but one thing surprise me is that she ask for my credit card and straight away deduct the money before i even sign on the sales agreement..lol, shouldn't she ask for my credit card only after i sign on the agreement? Hmm....

So my advise is, if planing to buy car, please go to both show room and compare the package before you sign.. If i sign with the Ubi one, i lose out $1,000 discount, only 1 channel car cam, and only free service for 6 month (1K, 5K & 10K).

anyway i already signed ... so COE, please up up and up...LOL

Erm.. actually Sgcarmart car price and spec not accurate one, got one time i go Mitsubishi showroom, ask the SE why sgcarmart features mention body kit. but the actual model in showroom dun have, the SE say they are not related to sgcarmart in anyway.

Anyway, sgcarmart only update mazda price list till 11 May 2016 right, i normally go to mazda website itself to get their price list, more updated.

My Mz2 only get the vibrations on idling when iStop is not activated. Many here faced this issue and posts about it had been made months back. I think Privacy colleted some names, including myself, and wrote to TEK.

My mileage is only 2k+ and I'm already experiencing some vibration when idling. Not significant but enough to annoy me. Brand new cars shouldn't have such vibration. Gonna bring this up to Eurokars at my 5k servicing.

Went down to TEK regarding the vibration issue. It only occurs at 500RPM, mechanic say no way to increase idling speed. Best they can do is to order a better engine mounting for me.

Should be free if your car is still under warranty.

    TEK uses 0w-20 in Sg?

Anyone using 0w/5w - 30 like they do in MY?

I reckon there are some Mz3 owners that have done the servicing outside of TEK using grade 30 oil.

Wah. I thought used to be top up of $500 for red. And usually they give it as a freebies.

It all depends on the SE that you are dealing with unfortunately. If one is desperate to close a deal, he/she would throw in more freebies.

Yes!!! Found a plug and play device to enable auto lock of car doors when driving off. The last time when i was searching for it, my workshop quote me $300 a piece. Crazy price! Now finally source from the horse mouth and price is halved more than half.

Anyone keen for a mass order? I will be bringing in 5 units at $90 each with shipping cost to try out first but if i got more interested parties, i might be getting it cheaper..

The functions work in this manner..

    1) Doors autolock when you engage Drive Mode.

    2) Doors unlock when you change to Parking Mode or Engine is off.

    3) If someone alight from your car and you drive off after that and the car speed exceed 20km/hr, the doors will autolock again.

The best part of this device is that it is plug and play and no tapping of wires. So for those who are afraid of voiding car warranty can consider this and Best of all, if you wanna sell your car next time, you can dekit this device easily and sell it to other Mazda 3 drivers.

It is plug into your OBD port and within secs, your car will be configured. PM me if you are keen.

Hi. I'm interested in this too. Is it still available?

Don't understand why Mazda adjusted their Mazda 3 pricing downwards when all other dealers adjusted their car price upwards since last week.

For Deluxe example it was I believed 108,388 b4 the new one loan ruling and now down to 99,888 guaranteed COE? It's over a 8ksgd dropped for no apprent reason. Those who signed during the car expo really lugi a lot!

Ya Mazda price already dropped even before the MAS announcement. So sgcarmart price list may not reflect the actual price. Good business strategy I should say as it will make potential buyer think it's a good buy coz price dropped so much.

Depends on your car model. Mine was a kimchi and they were only willing to take in at paper value. I ended up selling my old ride elsewhere. Popular models like Corolla should be able to fetch a better price.

A few thing with the M3 that is holding me back from the purchase.

1)Think the side view mirror is too far back from the A pillar or too far out, my head will need to turn more to view the mirror.

2)The I stop is really annoying due to the jerking.

3)The signal indicator cannot be flick with the finger. Have to be pull down or push up.

4)Braking distance seem longer than my current ride.

5)Driver door arm rest is too far out(right). Cannot rest my right arm on the door arm rest without shifting my right arm further out.

    6) Servicing at every 5K interval?

Anyone else have the same experience?

    1) I think the A pillar is too big. There's a huge blindspot there when you're making right turns.

    2) You'll get used to it after a while. If it really annoys you, you can switch it off.

    3) No issue for me.

    4) I agree.

    5) No issue for me as I drive with my right hand and rest my left hand at the middle arm rest.

    Why servicing at 5k interval?

    Titanium

Sunroof has been included for both deluxe and standard all along. Unless you buy from PI. I've seen one labelled as Axela without sunroof.

Since both models are having the sunroof now, is it really worth getting the extra for $6k more?

IMO unless TEK give u free 8" screen then its worth to get the std version. Mine comes with free 8" screen 1 year ago.

I got the fog lights fixed at JDM around $200.

Other than that is the electric seats, 2 more airbags, original japan leather seats, heads up display, keyless entry, cruise control which I think is not really necessary.

Actually their price already dropped prior to the new loan ruling. The SE told me they wanna give upfront discount off list price rather than freebies

I rem in the Jan 16 carshow Mazda 3 were priced higher than Nissan Sylphy. Deluxe vs 1.6L Signature was 5ksgd difference. Now is the reverse where Signature is 103,888 vs 99,888. Cos i rem i went for the higher priced Japan build car over Thai build. Cannot understand how come Japan made is cheaper than offshore low cost production plant?

    Hi 999,

Have been driving my Mazda 3 HB for almost a month now. Shall try to address these concerns and hopefully entice you to become a M3 owner as well :)

1.) Mirror view depends on your seating posture I feel? I tend to sit quite closer to the steering wheel and pretty upright so I have a better reach and feel of the car when steering.

2.) The jerk is noticeable when you first start driving it but you'll get used to it after a while? I hardly notice it right now! My only concern is the constant jerks might wear out the engine mounts much faster than a conventional engine without start/stop technology

3.) My signal indicator can activated with a flick actually (i.e soft touch that allow for 3 seconds of indication) Had to make a setting adjustment using the Mazda Connect system.

4.) Not sure what your previous ride is but Mazdas tend to have a fair bit of brake-play to allow for modulation when driving. Thus, the harder you step, the greater the breaking pressure to be applied on the rotors by the pads. Not the same feel as a continental where their brakes are extremely "grabby" even on the slightest touch of the pedal.

5.) Interesting observation! I tend to lie my left arm on the centre arm rest so can't really comment on the distance to the right arm rest :P

6.) Servicing is actually every 10,000 km interval. The first 3 services are at the 1,000, 5,000 & 10,000 km mark. Interestingly, nothing is actually done at the 1,000 & 5,000 services other than visual and internal inspections! Apparently, Mazdas come pre-filled with synthetic engine oil and is used for the initial running in period till the 10,000 km mark. The first engine oil change will be done at the 10,000km mark.

Hope these points can address your underlying concerns :) Looking forward to welcoming another fellow zoom-zoom driver on the roads!

It's Honda City. Think of let them handle to save the trouble, if not too much different.

I also traded in my Honda City. One thing to note - trade in is handled by their Porsche Pre-owned department. The service sucks BIG TIME. They are only interested in giving you the lowest possible value for your car and they want it asap. The earlier they get it the more they can get for it. They also give you a deadline for delivery of YOUR car to THEM failing which they will take your car anyway. Not likely to happen but the fact that they put it on paper says something about them. It is a strictly business only transaction. Zero customer relationship.

Depending on your purchase price, coe package and stock availability, you should be aware that it is definitely possible that you may not get your new car before your old car is due for trade in.

Thats why they draft it out on paper.

Actually i dun quite understand the concern on point no.3, isn't it those normal type, like most car,, located on the right of the steering wheel, whereby when you want to make a left turn, just turn the wheel and using the momentum to "push up" the signal indicator lever? Its up for left indicator, down for right indicator right?

I was like you, my option was either getting mazda3 or sylphy.

Both are nice car, I end up with mazda3.

It's Agent marketing strategy, see which one more aggressive at that point of time.

Location of signal indicator depends. If continental is mostly on left.

I drive with left arm resting on the center arm rest and right arm on the arm rest of the door. My right hand is at 3 or 4 o'clock position of the steering.

I'll just flick the signal indicator with little or no effort with my finger only, Sometime even using the pinky to do it, but with the M3 I have to use some force.

From P to R to N or the other way around, you have to press the button. From N to D to M, you don't have to press.

How big are the chips? Stone chip is parts and parcel of driving. If the blemish is not that obvious, maybe you should leave it until you have more chips and dents down the road and re-spray the whole car.

    Hello,

Usually, the Blaupunkt car camera provided by AD will switch on by itself when car is started. Electricity is provided to camera and it detects the electricity and turns on.

However, now it seems that when car is started, no electricity is provided and so camera doesn't start automatically. No matter what I do (plug in and out the cable or turn on camera manually), it cannot be turned on because the battery is low.

    Any advice?

Took out the sd card from my papago camera.... I realised the recording is not seamless. Some clips are more than 1 min long and others are less. And the most concerning thing is there are some duration in between clips that are not recorded. This is worrying and I wonder if "sway sway" the camera does not record during an accident.

Anyone having this problem too? I am using papago 360, free from TEK.

The chip was on my side mirror, it happened while parking my passenger side mirror outer shell gently scraped the wall. The paint is so thin that it didn't just scratch but a 10mmx3mm chip to inner white layer just came straight off. Driving my previous lancer I never encountered such extreme Chipping in similar situations. The price I just got quoted from TEK to respray the mirror is reasonable. If I decide to respray I will prob go to them as I worry other shops might not match the soul red properly. Just that it is troublesome as I have to leave the car there the whole day....
