I second on the tall headrest, which can partially restrict view out of the back passenger window...

I also find the rear view mirror really very dark at night...if black car, can hardly discern when it come upfront...and not helped by defrosting lines splash visibly across on the rear windscreen when viewed from the rear view mirror at night...

    Any suggestions?

They're equivalent tyres as far as price/performance goes. A search online shows that Toyo was chosen as the oem tyre for M3. Bridgestone may be because they had existing stocks. I've walked through the area at ubi where they parked the cars waiting for collection. There doesn't seem to be any relation of model of car comes with which tyre. My deluxe came with Toyo. My cousin's M2 deluxe came with a Toyo Proxy. The proxy line does not come with a 60 profile tyre.

M2 is Toyo Proxy... what bridgestone or toyo version is our M3 stock?

M3 is Toyo Nanoenergy R38. One of those new low rolling resistance tyres.

I;m guessing those apps will not be available to non-US cars. They are like radio stations etc. Just like why Netflix is not available here...yet

My 2.0 Hatchback came with Dunlop Sport Maxx TT.

17 or 18? If 18 you gonna have diffculty finding back the same tyre. Got puncture twice in my aussie mz3 and have to wait some time for it. [sweatdrop]

Cant really remember but think is somewhat like that the defrosting lines quite visible at night...
I only clearly recall that i can barely discern the top profile of a black car, can only see its headlights even when near upfront...
Do you have similar observations ?

I agree too. The eyelids look very good on white. In fact everything looks good on white. White is a very nice Colour which looks classy. In my opinion your white fin does not look too off. In fact I think it looks very good.

Anyway there are two types of eyelids. One with the jagged edge and one that is smooth as you can see from my pics that I posted earlier...

Aliexpress has it. Taobao should have too but it's interface is not English friendly. Price is about $80-$100 SGD
Axela and Cheealan, if you both are interested lets pool together, we can split the shipping cost. Others want to join in also can.

Could it be due to the Rikecool film? I did not want the film because most of the time my ride is parked in the shade or basement car park, as well as for better visibility at night. I prefer to wear UV protection - Polarised sunglass during the day. At night during rain, I would switch off the auto dimming, and it's quite ok.

Driving d deluxe model n..radio is generally OK leh...except certain Malaysian channel..got "static" noise interference at times. But that's not due to the car audio equipment..I think.

If you get poor reception on one channel..suggest you switch to other channels to see if its poor all round. If not..likely its just that channel. Also..I think locations near transmission towers could also interfere with radio freq reception.

was under the impression that the voltage indicator is to warn you when the voltage falls too low, so you can refrain from using it and let the car battery charge up...when I am trying to ask what level is deemed too low..

This might be a little premature but has anyone changed their Air filter to a different type?

I changed to the K&N filter after a few months into my ride. It produced a slight low freq muffler like sound at the beginning..which i quite like..but maybe i gotten used to it and dun hear it after 6 mths of use.The car seemed more responsive too.

On the downside I have been advised to keep to the stock airfilter...something like those non-stock filters contain oil which might not be good for the car engine in the long run...

So rather than refrain from using, you should change your battery if it drops below the healthy level. Not too sure about the range thou.

Agree with bro Fantastic_duck, it is a good deal as long as you like the rims :D

I'm using they cigarette sockets for my front and back cameras. MZ3 comes with two such sockets. In fact there is no cigarette lighter, which suits me fine.

    So no warranty issue.

The voltage should be at 11.8 to 12.3 thereabouts on cold start. After that it should remain at 13.8 to 14.2 thereabouts. The voltage indicator serves to tell you if there is anything wrong with you batt or when it needs to be replaced. Your equipment should not be draining the battery to a point where the alternator cannot charge it. Besides, with iEloop's capacitor, the base equipment (radio etc) should be drawing power from the capacitor.

Hi all, I would like to get some comments for this new Mazda 3 from the current owners. Looking to make this car 1 of the choices. The other choices are Honda Vezel, Kia K3, Hyundai Elantra. Any other good recommendations for me?

i considered all the cars above before deciding on Mazda 3.

Honda Vezel - i booked this but PI service fk up. after 6mths still no car thus cancelled contract and refunded my money. i went down to book a mazda 3 when they had a 105k promo price for mazda 3 deluxe.

Vezel pros = interior space is better. versatile rear seats. better FC of about 15-17km/l. more powerful engine. 7 airbags.

cons= CVT sucks.despite more interior space, its shorter than Mazda 3. dealing with PI sucks. no sunroof as std. no build-in GPS. no build-in phone functions. LED headlights (cons as its very expensive to replace compared to HID). locally fitted leather seats.

k3 pro - cheap and alot of freebies like free servicing etc.

con - Made in Korea image. avg FC about 12km/l. tiny DVD screen. very plastic-ky dashboard/panels - unacceptable to me.

elantra - cheap. old model. ready for facelift. cheap. quiet (yes its very while idling. i drove it for 4 days and i thought the engine was not switched on...i kept pressing the start button..it is quiet...). FC is about the same as K3.

I ordered in Ubi in September and picked up my reflex blue M3 deluxe last Friday. I have been enjoying driving it. Great after sales also; my SE helped me booked for my 1000 km service and reimbursed my old car's insurance. PM me for my SE for any interested party.

I plan to get bigger rims and lower the car, but afraid that would void my warranty. *sigh*

*sigh*

Nice ride, bro. Love the color and the rims.

Actually i also picked up at Ubi on last Friday around 4pm ;)

After driving for a few hours on Friday, my verdict is this car is not meant for comfort like my Altis. Better handling for M3 actually means a more stiffer suspension.

I do think that keeping the 16" will be good to absorb more road vibration.

No wonder overseas reviews with bigger rims complained about ride comfort. And now i know why.

CAn anyone enlighten me on the blaupunkt cam given by AD? Is it installed with a suction cup and how do they run the wires since it's powered by the cig lighter? I may consider replacing it with a dedicated cam such as iRoad or Blackvue, will it be easy to replace?

Mine installed by AD and the wiring is run hidden. Its not powered by the cig lighter. But, the wiring may be run parallel to the cig wires.
And the cam is mounted by suction cap.

I asked him to give me 3M black color floor mats instead of cash and he say he will buy me similarto 3M mat version.

I had been using it from my previous ride and current mazda3. It's around 5 yrs now. Still in good condition. But remember to ask for 3m heel plate. It's around $100 or more. Eurokars free mat is from 3a in kaki Bukit. Last year lady boss was quoting $60 for the Eurokars ready set.

Yes it's legal to park his car there because there are no double yellow lines. However there are trees so there may be a risk of bird droppings.

Blackv: It's M3 (Mazda3 - although I agree with an earlier post some time ago that we should not call it M3 - that name is more recognised as BMW's M3). Anyway, he meant to say Mazda3 original mats plus 3A (not to be confused with 3M) mats. ADs don't usually give 3M unless the SE is VERY generous. I do know that Honda also gives non-3M coil mats.
