Yup. Its better / safer to get those drilled on. You dont want it slipped out esp during ebrake.

i watch on youtube that the bar for you to drill on is quite thin...

Then for the drill hole location, is it universal? Say if after drill hole on this pedal, after a few years i change to another pedal, will it be using the same hole which i drill previously?

The original/ stock pedal was also not drill in de right?

Correct. I believe original brake pedal is a rubber cover as well.

The brake pedal is remove stock and replace. Only foot rest and accelerator pedal needs to drill on the original.

Cool. Can update me on the HKS filter when you've found out pls?

    $120 for drop in filter and S, M and L spare filters at $35, $45 and $58.

These are RRP. Thinking of doing a GB.

Hi bros, been driving my MZ3 for about 1 month so far. Getting around 13.5km/l. Still pretty far from the fuel consumption on paper.

And one more thing that I noticed is that there is a slight vibration at my foot area whenever my vehicle is idling at traffic lights without iStop. Is this normal for a brand new car? I don't recall having this vibration when i first collected the car.

i've been driving mz3 for 10 months. rmb the first a few mths fc was high. then i reset it now it is 16.7km/l, my fren gets about 15km/l after 5 months... guess first a few months higher fc is normal

of course also depends on traffic condition and how you drive :)

No oiling needed. The filter element is sponge type. Small, Medium and Large size spare filter element for you to cut and replace the one that comes with the frame.

It shouldn't because it's not engine/mechanical or electrical alteration.

    Majority upgraded to 18".

Regarding PPS, I think around 50% of car owners would go for some sort of PPS.

Beware on the pedals falling off when driving. Happened before from articles i read.

won't upgrading to 18" underpower the car?

You won't really feel the difference. If your budget permitted, you can go for lightweight 18" wheels, which have similar weight if not lighter than the stock 16" wheels. Genuine RAYS Gram Light, SSR and OZ wheels come to mind.

You can use car shampoo to clean your windscreen, just don't wax it. Wax can cause your wiper blades to judder.

u have to think long terms , the tyre cost between 16" and 18" i heard is quite significant. YOu will feel the pain everytime you change tyre.

But the tyre cost between 16" and 17" is not that much, you may consider change to 17" instead...

Hmm.. won't that lower your car cost when you change car? I recall if your car is stock, can fetch higher price, so if your pedal is drilled, consider modified ? LOL

Don't think that's a concern. Mileage clocked, how well maintained & accident free are key considerations. On mods, if you mod engine, air intake, suspension etc...then you'll be concerned...but maybe will attract diff buyer.

Between the metal and rubber. The accelerator pedal is metal (or maybe a blend of plastic and metal). You can just slot the pedal cover in it. For extra security, stick a long strip of 3M double sided tape between the rubber cover and metal pedal.

what does the bonnet insulator does?

I think the main purpose is to protect your car paint on the bonnet. It prevents the engine heat to be excessively transferred onto your bonnet.

There is a mixed opinion about using the insulator. The good side of it is as mentioned. The bad side is the engine heat has one less way to dissipate, trapping it in the engine bay. High temperature is always engine's worst enemy, especially in our climate. There is really no super benefit for putting an insulator.

I usually control the istop using my brake pedal application.

WhenI do not want the istop to kick in, when coming to a stop, release the brake ever so slightly just as the car is coming to a stop, plus it is more comfortable for the pax. Unless I have to e-brake, the istop will surely kick in.

If I want the istop to activate at a long junction, further depress the brake pedal to activate the istop after coming to a stop or put to N and pull the handbrake (although this will also wear out your gearbox).

    Need your advice/opinion.

If you intend to take up 20% loan for purchase of the car but was offered unlimited mileage 5 years servicing with the condition that you need to take up 50% loan.

It's only 1500cc.if you desire more power, the 2000cc is a better choice

    Dear all bros,

    Need your advice/opinion.

If you intend to take up 20% loan for purchase of the car but was offered unlimited mileage 5 years servicing with the condition that you need to take up 50% loan.

Interest saving for 20% loan vs 50% is $3k.

Is the servicing worth more than $3k ?

Please ensure its 5 years worth of servicing. And not unlimited mileage 5 years warranty. It's always cheaper to servicE at outside workshop. Attached a price list contribute by bro here in previous post. Price exclude GST

    Guys,

I've noticed an issue. After heavy rain, my windscreen and passenger side windows gets fogged up. So i used the defogging function to clear but it is not able to clear fully and the fog comes back real fast. In the end I keep using my wiper to clear it but the passenger side window I have to constanly wind up and down.

    Any advise from any bros?

    Thanks in advance.

    $104,888 ? LOL

Say if use credit card to pay for the $10,000 booking fee, if after 6 bid fail, the fund will be refunded back to the credit card? or in form of cheque ?

If the fund is refunded back to credit card, am i able to cash it out?

Went for the car expo.. tried out many Japanese and Korean cars in the heavily competitive segment (Altis/Mz3/Sylphy/K3/Elantra etc)

The one that impressed me the both was the Mazda 3. The fit & finish as well as design in & out really impressive. Good choice!

Kia Forte K3 wasn't far behind.. while the rest didn't impress me much.

    Hello everyone,

Got my coe yesterday for my M3 yesterday :)

Want to ask for advice about solar film. SE threw in RikeCool solar film as freebie. Was wondering if RikeCool is ok? Or did you guys get offered a different brand of solar film by your SE?

My personal experience...My driver side window's film was peeling at the corner 2 weeks after collection. RikeCool replaced the affected film during my 1K servicing.

You can call your bank to have it transferred back to the deposit account. If not, it will stay in your credit card as additional balance credit.

Original credit limit $10,000. Refund booking fee, your credit limit becomes $20,000.

But I think you will gain whatever points earned from the $10K transaction.

Could be hotter inside the car. What is your fan speed for the air con? If it is low, try to bump up the speed as it is likely your interior is hotter than outside. Because after a rain, the outside air is usually cooler and if you are travelling on the expressway, the teamperature will lower even more. So if the exterior air is cooler than interior, your interior will get fog due to hotter air within the cabin.

As some one already advices a/c vent facing window will always fog it out... I always tell my passenger if too cold just close the vent on face it towards the leg area

It's just dew point temperature and relative humidity. Figure it out and you'll know why it fogs up. Same reason why spectacles fog up sometimes when you exit the bus or taxi.

less than 2k for annual insurance, depending on which u choose.

road tax is the road tax u see from sgcarmart.

    omv is 20.5k for me.

no the difference is the price u need to pay for the 2.0 hahaha

yes, agree Mazda 6 is a beauty inside and outside. Seeing is believing.

If the fog is on the outside, only two possibility:

    1) The aircon vent is slide too much to the left making it blowing cold air onto passenger window. This will cause fogging outside the passenger window.

    2) The airflow mode is at defroster mode, letting cold air to blow on the windscreen. This willcause fogging outside the windscreen.

If you have checked that both settings are correct, than there must be some leak in the air valves that cause the cold air to blow onto the glass, send it back for TEK to check.

    Actually I prefer the M3 2.0L over M6 standard.

Same 2.0L engine, plus all the sounds and whistles for M3 2.0L. You will need to top up a lot more to get all the deluxe features on M6.

If dont need all the deluxe features, can consider getting M3 standard, not much difference with M6 standard, can save more $$, just need to accept the 1.5L engine. Ha ha.
