I think you should be able to do so. MPS shop, which website I shared earlier, sells the paddle shifter kit.

There was a few times, i decrease speed from the steering wheel during cruise control and was shocked that the gear downshift and made rev shoot up to 3k... I was decreasing by 1km/h each time. Nearly wet my pants... Running in period leh.... Lol!

That's normal - if you downshift when running at a higher speed, the rev will definitely jump to compensate for the increased speed at lower gear. It's like revving at gear 2 - your tach will definitely be in the 3-4k range if not higher - hence the red line area on your tach - it warns you that it's time to shift up.

The only way to not make the rev jump when you decrease your speed is to brake first - just like driving a manual transmission. Otherwise you'll be using the engine brake to slow down.

Yeah the car will auto down shift to a lower gear hence the rpm shoots up. Perfectly normal.

Will be going for my 1k servicing on 19 Jan. Yesterday just drop a mail to mazda asking for oil change during 1k servicing (I'm abit Kaisi and kaisu, so prefer the conventional way of maintenance).

As usually, they are fast in response to my inquiry and had indicated this request for me.

Anyone did the oil change for 1k servicing before?

You can't unlock the car without pressing on the small black button on the door handles right? If you never do so when the car is locked, then the car will not auto unlock. When the ride is unlock then the mirror will auto unflod and DRL on.

I installed my iroad v9 at JDM with ONE external batt pack - CY knows what he's doing imo. The Servicing Agent didn't mention anything about voiding the batt issue at my 1k servicing which I went to AFTER installing the cam. I have a battery monitor handy to make occasional checks on the batt life. The servicing agent assured me that my batt was 100% healthy at my 1k servicing.

Silly SA. Oil change at 1k to get rid of all the microscopic metal particles in the oil that otherwise still in it . These particles are from rubbing of metal surfaces (removing asperities- lowering the highs and lows inherent with all surfaces) during running in period. You can't clean it out any other way, they have to be drained out. Deposit cleaners are for soot- cleaning and dispersing it-useless because you won't find soot in 1k

I would like to seek for advisethe below concern.

I went for 1k servicing on 21 Dec 15 and got a decal said Oil change at 5'000km or 21 Mar (which ever come first).

Currently my mileage clock at 3'2xxkmand I will be heading to Kedah forCNY (To & Fro = 2'000km) henceI willreach5'000kmplus before coming back to SGP.

Papersaid Oil change5'000km but I alr exceed that when I back.

Will is cause any problemto theengine if I didn't change the Oil on time at 5'000km?

it said next change Oil, 5,000 km?? really bo change huh :TT_TT:

It is not that absolute that it must be on that day or that 5000 km. If it is 3weeks off or 6 + k it is fine. Don't need to worry at all in your case. What happens beyond what I stated ? Unless you went exceedingly more, say 8km or 3 months more than asked there is an uncertainty

I would like to seek for advise the below concern.

I went for 1k servicing on 21 Dec 15 and got a decal said Oil change at 5'000km or 21 Mar (which ever come first).

Currently my mileage clock at 3'2xxkm and I will be heading to Kedah for CNY (To & Fro = 2'000km) hence I will reach 5'000km plus before coming back to SGP.

Paper said Oil change 5'000km but I alr exceed that when I back.
Will is cause any problem to the engine if I didn't change the Oil on time at 5'000km?

They don't change oil even at 5K. I ask the SA when I do my 1K. SA say now use mazda oil, so no more 1K, 5k change oil. I also have this sticker after my 1K. Stick for fun one I think.
Any bros here ever had their oil change by mazda during 5k?

Does any bros often cross over to pump petrol? anyone try PETRONAS? how does it compare with Shell 95 or 98?

    Primax 97
PETRONAS Primax 97 is a premium unleaded motor gasoline with a unique formulation that includes special additives which help to clean the vehicle engine of unwanted deposits which may collect around the engine parts over time. This will result in a cleaner, smoother-running engine that not only delivers more power, but which is also much more fuel-efficient. Primax 97 has an octane rating of 97, providing consumers with a fuel with an excellent anti-knock capability for even high performance vehicles.

If going over to Boleh land to pump might as well pump the premium liao lor.... Saving anyway.

When i drove my last ride, i always wait till the red light come out. Going inside and pump gave me the satisfaction (saving up to SGD 60plus per tank even i pump the shell V-power racing).

I would do so if there's a big saving in $ and after my warranty expire.

I usually pump at Petronas, especially at Second Link before coming into Singapore. For me, no difference. But, Petronas always no queue, while Shell always has a lot of Singapore cars. If there's BHP, I will use BHP also.

But I boycott Petron, cos it's owned by Mahathir's son Mukriz. Haha!

Mazda oil has this extra moly addictive, and highest in its class to protect the engine due to its nature high combustion ration. Their moly addictive is the highest among most 0W-20. This moly add provide a thin film of coat in the engine. If you change engine oil without moly or other than AD naturally you void the warranty.

    Every good oil has .
