    For Android users here...

An engineer called Lukasz has created an app, the build date is 22 oct 2015.

You can control movies from your phone using his app. I am Apple user but I might consider an android if it's useful.

Disclaimer: use at your own risk.... I am not affiliated in anyway. Just sharing. If you like it, like my post pls...

Below is the introduction of his project from his site. Click on the link below.

    -------------

about watching movies in your Mazda car? Yes, now it is possible with Mazda Media Player! No modification to car infrastructure (and IVI system), no additional devices required just one Android app and WiFi connection!

Mazda Connect is new Mazdas infotainment system which has been added to almost all latest (> 2014) models: Mazda 2, Mazda 3, Mazda 6, Mazda CX-3 and Mazda CX-5. Thanks to powerful hardware (i.MX6 ARM) and well-designed GUI, Mazdas Engineers have managed to make one of the most intuitive and easy-to-use IVI system on the market. Unfortunately, this system is not as good as really could be! Do you want to watch movies directly from usb stick on main TFT screen? Do you want to watch TV in your car? Do you want to set/read/monitor some additional values not available through standard interface? Just download and support development of Mazda Media Player!

Bro Fantistic_Duck, according to my SE, they don't get their commission until car has been delivered. So i am sure your SE will call you soon.

Mazda 3 set should be standard issue. Otherwise the car will come with bare carpeting. Did anyone's not come with standard Mazda 3 mat? The one that has the Mazda 3 logo on it?

I got extra car mat from SE. Its the coil type and has the word Mazda 3. I guess the car mat are from 3A.

I have seen a pic of red M3 with bronze wheels (slightly darker than the OZ that you show) in the US and they look great on the car. Search for CarbonSmoke mazda 3 on google.

Bro, not trying to rain on your parade but the Deluxe will have this, not the standard. If it's standard ver and you install DRL, it's against LTA regulation (to install DRL). Install at your risk. If you have not bought your car consider the deluxe.

    http://www.lta.gov.s...ur-vehicle.html

    http://www.onemotori...fy-notallow.pdf

    Quote from LTA:
    Daytime Running Lamp (DRL)
Vehicles should only be installed with factory-fitted Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) as the vehicle manufacturer would have designed the lamps to meet internationally recognised vehicle standards.
For aftermarket DRL kits retrofitted onto existing vehicles, there are concerns that such lamps have the propensity to cause unwanted glare and distraction to other motorists on the roads. Therefore, the installation of aftermarket DRL kits is not allowed.

the original Mazda daytime running lamps are integrated into the bi-xenon headlamps, they are a fibreoptic 'signature' that surrounds the projector.

some people prefer flashier bumper-mounted kits for whatever reason...

A red car is attractive to owners of a certain profile type. A red car screams "Hey! Over here! I am here! Look at me!" While waving her arms in the air frantically. If it's not loud enough then she will stand on a chair and use a loud hailer, one arm still frantically moving in large conspicuous motion. Does she understand the meaning of keep quiet and sit down in class? Probably not. Her Teachers always had a lot to say about her....

From LTA website and last night's news:

"TRANSPORT AUTHORITY WILL INCREASE PENALTIES ON ILLEGALLY SOUPED UP CARS

Illegal modifications are commonly detected during periodic and ad-hoc vehicle inspections. In addition, LTA enforcement officers conduct regular checks and acts on feedback it receives from members of the public on suspected illegally modified vehicles. Action is also taken against workshops found to be facilitating illegal modifications.

We are reviewing the penalty framework to enhance its deterrence effect. Currently, vehicle owners who illegally modify their vehicles face a fine of up to $1,000 or a jail term of up to three months, for the first offence. Repeat offenders will face a fine of up to $2,000 or a jail term of up to six months. Owners of workshops that facilitate such modifications can be fined up to $2,000, or face a jail term of up to three months, for the first offence; and a fine of up to $5,000, or a jail term of up to six months for repeat offences.

Members of the public who encounter such illegal modifications are encouraged to report the matter to LTA at 1800 CALL LTA (1800-225 5582), with details of vehicle registration number to facilitate investigations."

Does this apply to Malaysian cars on our roads too?

My SC told me no stock for the colour i wanted and will have to wait till Sept production. Since i got trade in car, the longer they delay, the lesser is the depreciation which is fine for me... Haha.

When i see him for 2nd appt, he show me a piece of slip which indeed my car is under Sept production! He kept saying "your car fresh from the oven... Sio sio... "

May I ask what is the downside of pumping to 280kpa even though I seldom carry full load?

IMO, dont look at the numbers alone.... how much to pump really depends on the type of tyre and your driving style... example (latio, 16") the sweet spot for my butt feel with Kumho KU31 is ~270Kpa but when i was on Hankook V12, even 250Kpa already too hard to my liking and tense to lose grip on hard corner but with Ku31 (270Kpa), still grippy with the same hard corner...

Vossen rims how much? Real or replica?
Some cars have an auto light off after engine off and doors closed. I know mz3 has this coming home light function. But there are conditions for it to work and you need pull the light stalk to activate it. Can it be auto or am I doing it wrongly?

Sorry noob question from a new bird.

I read some post back that the navigation need to connect to wifi or link to our hand phone data plan. Is it correct?
If I plan to go over to Malaysia, does the navigation need to connect to wifi or data plan for excess?

    Very nice!

He is a nice guy, Jun that's why I buy from him. He is willing to stay back after the shop close to explain everything in detail to me. Imo very hard to find such customer service oriented shops, even stupid questions he will still answer you.

i don't think it uses data plan as it lock on to GPS signal. But you connect to wifi to update the mzconnect. As for going to malaysia, if you have the map loaded, then it shouldn't be a problem.

I have received about 5 enquiries via pm about the plate relocator since yesterday.

Please note that it's not a commercial enterprise, and there is only one plate relocator. The other one is with me and I am not selling unless you pay me this amount (see link below) http://vignette3.wik...=20130727183557

I am not earning anything, just doing my bit for a good bro from Philippines. I know it's a bit expensive, but the price is not decided by me. If you take too long to think about it, bear in mind there is only one and first come first serve. ???????????????????

Anyway you can always buy plate relocator that is cheaper off eBay or aliexpress, but you need to drill onto the bumper. Unless you insert the tow hook relocator which costs about 80 USD from eBay incl shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/121721303814

Another disclaimer. I have not received my car yet so I don't know how the SG plate will look like on it unless any bro or sis here willing to be Guinea pig....

I traded in for these rims/tyres at Hurry Tyres along Bukit Timah.
That was in March, after my 1k servicing.

Before mounting, I brought my bare rims for CeramicPro treatment as advised by George. Nothing sticks to it now. Already 7 months.

Before changing, my fuel efficiency was at 7.4. Immediately after changing it became 7.8. But gradually over 5 months, have managed to get back to 7.4.

My first reaction upon changing was that acceleration wasn't that bad affected. There was a clear difference, but perhaps i was mentally prepared for worse. Well, i still can be first off at green light most of the time without having to rev it really hard. So, acceleration is still very decent.

Road noise was definately higher and also the ride was harder. But my (also wifey) love for the looks made us oblivious to it.
