    hatuah bro you are right.

Sometimes the SE just says the his boss ask him to call de, they probably dont want to make themselves look bad?

Think about it, a SE may have 10 customers signed with him. All they need is to call all 10 of them to ask for top up. Says 3 agreed to top up, they earn extra commission liao. It is just statistics to them. Eventually you will get your car, whether are you in a hurry or not.

A good SE is one that thinks for his customer's interests.

Welcome to the club and drive safe!!!

not sure how true is this according to my SE he told they dont actually earn commission for the top-up de, the top-up is for the management to decide how aggressive they want to bid for you infact they are veryreluctant to call or msg customers to top-up because sometimes will kanna f by the customers.

oh the most ridiculous thing was, before the second bid, SE said boss said if i top up 4k, can make it 6-bid guaranteed.

i of cos said no. If i had wanted to let them earn that 4k, i wouldnt have spent so much time negotiating in the first place. just sign and go. everyone happy.

i wonder if it is better for ALL OF US not to agree to top up, then everyone stays status quo and make them give up. i guess better than to let them divide and conquer lol. I say we refuse to budge!

Taking train to work tmr after selling my car today. looking forward to watching a bit of korean drama on the phone before reaching office. Small comforts.

    Happy standing throughout the journey

Yes ganpaoleong you should check with your SE. A good SE would update you quite promptly but my experience with my SE is everything I need to chase. If they give you some arbitrary date far away from your registration date you probably should ask them why they need so long.

The fact is they need just 7 to 10 days to prepare your car and that can be done even before registration. After registration everyday which is delayed is actually your paper loss on your COE.

yup I actually Got my COE during second time bidding back in Feb. but SE said it's March production and mine is 1.5L HB deluxe.

You are quite right, everything I also need to chase! is your SE from LK or UB? Just curious.

If the stock is not in yet, then u will have to wait and keep following up with SE. Do check when car is coming in which is more crucial.

For your info, mine was previously September production, and i only got my car towards end of October... Be patience...

My SE said "your car hot hot from oven". Look at it positively its hot!

Hi all M3 owners , any comment of your car with 4 adults Travelling on N-S highway???

Done road trip recently to Ipoh with 4 pax including driver.
I love the roadholding even on stock on highways.
Have the chance to do B roads... that confirmed the roadholding further.
Great car to drive and comfortable, surprisingly I was not tired physically... but sleepy when arrived Ipoh... due to lack of sleep...

Hi bros, thinking of wrapping the car matt black. Any good workshop to recommend?

    Thanks in advance.

Price argument - Mazda 3 Deluxe: 103,888. Altis Elegance: 114,888. Difference of 11k is quite significant! (The price difference is still about 10k if you compare the Standard models)

    +

Looks argument - I think this one no need to explain right?

    +

Made-in-Japan argument - yes, I know Toyota is supposed to be very reliable but it's made in Thailand. Mazda 3 is made in Japan and it has a good reliability record too.

I'm driving an Altis now and my parents think I should continue with Altis when my COE is up at the end of the year. So I told them the above, and I get to make the final decision anyway since I'm paying [laugh]

Agreeable argument, but Altis Elegance is still having the promo for free upgrade from standard to elegance (most prob clearing stock for new facelift to come in), effective price heard is 102,988 for elegance version. so when changed end of year most prob facelifted altis elegance increase price back to 110k region lol.

To bros with papago 2 way car cam like me & curious if motion detection works. I tried... it will work if there is power connect to it even when car engine off. In summary, u need to have external batt or direct tap from car batt(risk having flat batt after 1 or 2 days). TEK installed will just cut off all supply to cam when engine off and motion detection is off also. So which ever monkey dance in front of ur car also will not get recorded. If the motion detection mode is on during car engine on, the only difference is the cam will stop record after 60secs no screen change & resumes again if any movement detected. So I will just leave it without motion detection mode unless 1 day I find the need to install another batt just for the cam.

Thanks bro for the update! !!

No special running-in is necessary, but

a few precautions in the first 1,000 km (600 miles) may add to the performance, economy, and life of the vehicle.

    Do not race the engine.
Do not maintain one constant speed,

either slow or fast, for a long period of

    time.
Do not drive constantly at full-throttle or

high engine rpm for extended periods of

    time.
Avoid unnecessary hard stops. Avoid full-throttle starts.
    Do not tow a trailer.

for me luckily i get deluxe if not sure i will regret...

the deluxe hv all these which some cannot install: smart keyless, active driving display, 4 airbag instead of 2, bi-xenon auto levelling headlight with rear led combination lamp, fog lamp, orignal lcd/gps/rear camera+commander control, 6 speaker instead of 4, original leather, cruise control, driver power seat..

cosmetic wise i think only the front grill is different (standard is matt while deluxe is glossy)..
the gps u install later different one leh..deluxe can monitor ur istop, show fuel economy, then when driving the gps will show up in the active driving display with ur speed...no way you can install that later one..

im sure standard/deluxe will affect ur resale value too right? so the difference not exactly that big, somemore by installment i think per month not that big difference..if u plan to waste money n install later then may as well get deluxe...if buy standard better just dont add anything else cannot justify the saving..im sure u add all those later sure will cost the same...

    my 2 cents..

Damn it. I must go pluck my SE liao. He told me Mazda 3 don't have sports mode and Mazda 2 deluxe have that why i bought. I wanna go bang tables and ask for a refund. :a-m1524:

Met up with some of the members here on sat night. Very fun bunch with assorted mods done on each ride's.

    837D3593-C7B2-4C29-B0F7-46B395B183CD_zps

I don't think Mz 3 got sport mode selector switch. The right leg step harder or down shift your tiptronic is the default sport mode (or paddle your left side if you are on the 2.0l version) [:p].

Anyway for me, i found the car that is better value than Mz 3 (cheaper) in Sg. Just too bad they don't allow to indent BMS.IMG_0961.JPG

    The bonus was having thisIMG_0962.JPG

Anyway Mz3 will always be special to me. Hopefully one day can own a MPS (not in Sg though)

The DR3500 can do 24h recording as well. You'll just need to wire it permanently to a power source or get an external battery pack.

If you plan to run 24hr, then i suggest run in on separate battery, otherwise, it will kill the car battery.

Alternatively, you can have power magic & set cut-off when battery reaches say 11.9 or 12V, but they may not be few hrs of recording depending on state of battery.

Bro, u tried the sports mode?

I personally don't enjoy the sports mode.. it drags your gears when you are accelerating and downshift your gear the moment your speed slightly decreases.. so far I have only used the sports mode once for less than a minute... maybe driver not the "sports mode" type

Hi, new to the Mazda family. Booked my M3 just days after the Suntec carshow cos too confused to decide which car to replace my ride that COE expired in coming 2nd May.

Was looking at Subaru XV and next Nissan Qashqai but end up didnt went for a compact SUV. Think it was a blessing in disguise as both SUVs price even when COE is now at the similar 45k is being priced lower than in carshow.

Anyway to share my ride collected late last week of Meteor Gray with Gunmetal rim of my choice which i traded over the stock 16" rim and Toyo Nanoenergy R38 tyres with 205/60/16 first thing i drove out from Ubi showroom. Leong Seng tyres at 51 Ubi took in the stock at the highest among a few Ubi and Serangoon North tyre shops which i asked around. Now on Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance of 215/50/17 quiet tyres as there isnt such a tyre profile for Goodyear Eagle F2.

Also did the ride PPS on the 2nd day at Groomer Lab at Kakit Bukit which i didnt know that our Mazda 3 members have a group discount with them according to the boss Rendall. Shot taken below after PPS session.

    PPS Groomers Lab.jpeg
Btw, anyone has install Ultra Guage on your ride? Cos mine transferred from the old ride when plug into M3 ODBII wouldnt power off when car is switched off. Somehow from Ultra Guage support seems like an issue with Mazda ECU firmware that still providing data to the data guage even when engine is off. Anyone has managed to get over this on their Ultra Guage EM ver 1.2? Appreciate the kind advise.

Basically the sports mode is just like a throttle
Controller. It opens the butterfly valve wider at the same level of the accelerator position.

I feel that it is adequate.

Though checking of blind spots needs a little getting used to due tothe sloping lines of the rear pax windows and thicker c-pillars (at least compared to my previous car). Still not as bad as say the Fiat Bravo.

No sure exactly how much is the rim by itself cos I got an overall package from the shop. After trade in, paid $225/pc for this Gunmetal 17" rim (not Taiwan or China country of origin) and the Goodyear 215/50/17 quiet rubber.

And have checked with SE that changed rim will not void warranty. Just that wheel rotation workshop may not do for you cos tyre shop changed out the original Mazda wheel nuts to a slimmer one that need an adapter to open.

And btw those on Jan 16 production M3. At least for deluxe which I gotten, seems like Mazda replaced the mickey honk to a conti honk. So better don't buy honk 1st b4 collection like what I did. Fortunately Autobacs kind enough to allow me to swap to other items of same or higher volume even after 7 days.
