. I deactivate my I stop.. My car dash board vibrate violently when stationary at Red light with GEAR Box at D mode.. Dun tell me engine mounting so fast up lorry liao...

That's what I realised too. The vibration happens when the iStop is deactivated or when it's being readied when stationary. The engine vibrates for a few seconds because the rpm dips a notch lower. I mentioned this issue to the AD during my 5k servicing, but they couldn't find any fault.

the max tyre that we can put on is 225/40/R18

Mine is 225/45. You can even go up to 50 profile tyres without rubbing, but the car will look a bit weird with high side wall and the speedometer will be way off.

i abit noob on tyre, whats numbers 215 & 45 Stands for?
    R18 = 18 inch rim ?

215 is the width of the tyre in mm. 45 means the height of the side wall is 45% of the tyre width.

So this is the tyre 225/40/R18 that will have the least affect to the actual speedo readings?
Regret that i didn't copy the information on the optimium tyre setting in this forum which some bros provided, now the information is buried deep somewhere liao...

Bro, you can search for "tyre calculator" or something like that on Google. Some calculators tell you how far off you are from the stock tyre.

Doubt its vibrating all the way but for awhile then it is steady. What I noticed is the rpm fluctuating while idling when iStop is switched off. When iStop activated and not kicked in, rpm will be more steady during idling.

Might be too low idling speed...

    Same same :(

No worries. 215 is the width, 45 is the thickness (%of the width) and R18 is the rim inch.... As what i know and hope is correct :)

    Clean throttle body?

I think the AD can tune the idle speed easily, urs is a new car? So should not be dirty throttle :)

It shouldn't be as the rpm should be steady during idling as our ride is still so new. Can't be the throttle body dirty or fuel pump KO. Anyway i am waiting for TEK too get back to me on this issue as i had sent them the video of my rpm moving up and down during idling when iStop was off and it remains stead when iStop is on but not activated.

    1. I mean the rpm is not stable and moves up and down. Yes i turned it off after i start the car
2/ iStop is on but i did not step all the way down on brakes for the iStop to activate which resulting in rpom drop to 0. Car when stationary can have iStop activated and also not activated. It alll depends on how much pressure on the brake pedal.

As what other bros mention, stock rims + tyre (4pcs) is worth between 300 to 500.

For the cost of 18" rims + tyre, it is very much depend what you want.

Are you going for comfort or performance tyre?

Whatdesign and model of 18"rim are you look for? there are many in the market.

My guess for 18" range between 2k to 2.5k or more b4 trade in. just my guess, pls don't flame me...:(

The default rim for the Mazda 3 1.5L deluxe is what inch de rim? If change to 18' sport rim, cost will be around how much? Then the existing stock rim can trade in how much?

It depends on the new rims that you want to buy. The price range can be huge. Second hand 18" you can get for $1k or below, including tyres and trade-in. No brand rims or replica maybe around $1.5-2k. Branded original rims, like Vossen, OZ or BBS are all above $2k.

    Huge

    hi guys

i need some guidance on how to use or activate the Radar Cruise Control

    I'm driving the Mazda 3 Deluxe 1.5L

I understand how to use the standard Cruise Control feature ...

but what about the Radar Cruise Control? I tried to fumble with the RES button, but can't see the Dashboard icon for the set car distance?

    Tips pls

I don't think you have this function in your car. This function can only be found in oversea's top of the range Mz 3 2.5l "Astina" or Mz 6 Aztenza

Just check out the attached photo versus your own Mz 3 to see the difference
