Good loh.. U like can already. Glad u chose mazda in the end.Mine is standard version, the "infotainment" really cannot make it. Hence I chose the china 9", size is just nice and blends well in mz3
Extra 6k le... Ya. Everyone have their preference

Well between crappy sound and good looks, somethings gotta give..
I went for better sound
i) hated the oem china heaunit abeit more functions
ii) the stock one looks good but full of bugs
Happy that i managed to attain sound nirvava
The Pioneer system looks out of place, but I'm sure it delivers better sound. And good SQ is truly important when the head unit is where it all begins.
No point having $20,000 of high grade drivers with an amplifier if the DSP and etc. on the head unit is junk tier.

Im a very shallow person. Looks > sound
I suppose you're not the kind of person who would feel a significant difference in the sound then. But upper grade SQ is really illuminating.

I referring to how MZD Connect control and design resembles BMW. The standing display and the "commander control". But your China unit's software GUI looks like a rip off of BMW.
So with the China unit, now your Mazda even more BMW like!
Note the 'curved cards' presentation, the large orb with the line highlighting your current selection, the placement of UI elements, top right status bar and so on. Your sample picture of the China unit seem very similar.

Dsp on headunit? Nah.. Installed a separate one.
Mazda is easily one of the best looking sedan in the marketGood loh.. U like can already. Glad u chose mazda in the end.

even if you use external DSP, the base signal and playback quality of the head unit still matters.

Putting a 96kbps result through a 24bit 192kHz DSP is still going to be yunk...
my mazda 3 (12k mileage) vibrates during stop at traffic light with drive mode on (i-stop deactivated). It happens when RPM dips by about 100, suspect is when air-con compressor kicks in. Anyone else facing the same problem as me?
Change HU is to get consistent preout voltage which the stock hu cannot do.even if you use external DSP, the base signal and playback quality of the head unit still matters.

Think most folks who change player are still on CDs.. Minimum would be songs purchased from itunes or play directly from spotify..
Huh? All stock headunit are original.. But its not made in japan. Believe or not, its made in malaysia for mine. Was thinking it would be china.Haha maybe we can get mazda to bring in their original head unit that is made in Japan?

Not really that perfect. Faces some issue with the quality... Others have no issue, im just more, unlucky.
This is the pic of it

Mazda2 will be sprightlier due to its lower weight but the Mazda3 has more space. I think the equipment levels are similar for Deluxe models, but I forget if Mazda2 has LED AFS.

Don't remember if Mazda2 has reverse camera.

Besides those it also matters if you want more power (Mazda3 2.0L, also gets paddle shifters) or just like the circular vent style in Mazda2. But for me I prefer Mazda3.

its not your aircon compressor.
it's a manufacturer fault.

i have been to mazda 3x to resolve it..
and it is still not resolved.

U go in ur left leg no space to keep left, u must contort before doing it....small scarifice for a beauty car!
what did they do or change each time you visit? seems like not everyone is facing the same problem?its not your aircon compressor.

If you don't mind a bit more of my views, I also think the Mazda2 looks kind of awkward. The KODO design themes need some length to truly show their beauty. Mazda2's flatter face and proportionately bigger headlamps makes it look bug-eyed and I find the rear end kind of odd.

Just few k diff. The rear seat for mz 2 really very cramp, no sun roof and that short bonnet. No worth it la bro

Of course bro, always glad to have more views on it.

Actually now that you mentioned it, that's what I thought to but didn't know how to put it into words. I agree with you on the KODO needing length, the mazda 2's rear seems like it sort of 'ended' abruptly.

I like mazda 3's interior more too but that's a personal preference. Thanks again for the insights :)

Oh yes that too Mz 3 is made in Japan.

agreed bro, just a few k diff, when stretched out payment, doesn't amount to much & can't stand cramp seats. Thanks bro for the helpful insights :)
They do nothing because they can't find anything wrong with the car. Not everyone has this issue you are right.what did they do or change each time you visit? seems like not everyone is facing the same problem?

I was told it was a engine mounting issue and mine will be replaced at 20k servicing.

Maybe we could put up a differences list (NOT a pros and cons list as that would be subjective) of the Mazda 3 and 2 (1.5l only as the 2.0l is a different animal altogether). Bro's and Sis's who own the respective car models could add to this list so as to aid potential Mazda owners. Sharing is caring and all that.

I have the same problem as you bro. Somehow the sound magically disappeared before my servicing appointment. And it came back a few weeks after my servicing was done.
saw at least 4 mz3 on pie expressway in the last week with lion city rental license plate frame. i believe LCR is one of the major player in uber/grab car business. all had non-deluxe tail/head lights and no mazda connect system. i guess they have started to parallel import these units for the uber/grab car market now. i personally do not like the idea that the mz3 is associated with uber nor do i like the fact that there will be a lot more of them on the road like vezel/sienta. i believe the parallel importers managed to import the car with minimum trim level, fabric seats, no sun roof etc which makes it only sightly more expensive then attrage. have you guys spotted any?

up to now I haven't seen any Axela badging here. But then again I can recognize the Mazda3 easily so I don't usually look at the badging...
