bendemeer ?
It's Blk 216 Bedok North St 1. Here is d pic I took. Looks at d fish roe yummy yummy n d amount of fish, crazy. Also got side dishes, Lor tow kua, Lor bak, pig skin, etc. Saw alot of ppl ordered too.
Be warned: be prepared to q at least half an hour hor. Opening: wed-sat 11.30-3pm.
If I go Hong Lim, only three stalls I patronise. Wanton Mee, Curry Mee and Fish soup. The CKT queue is always so long over there so never yet to try. Will look for the Sotong ball soup to try. Thanks for the recommedation.

Is the wanton mee stall the one with two storefronts?
2pm: went for ?? BKT at sin ming road. The dark sauce had become diluted...but luckily the spicy yet sweet taste retained.
3pm: wanted to have dessert at Thompson area but couldn't find parking...so headed home and bought plain waffles from below my block to top with Nutella and HD berries ice cream.
530pm: wanted to dine with my boy at chicken up but the delayed reopening due to maintenance made us ended up with ??? at KPT next to buangkok train station. Very big portion for only $4.50. The noodle must be darn good that I didn't get to touch it.
Always good to have a cuppa after lunch

Wah, looks really good
LOL.. I used to work nearby. Always go. Weekends nearby also go and eat. It is a challenge eating at Hong Lim during lunchtime though. Always hard to find seats.

I'm just glad that they are nice people too. Not like some places where food is good but stallholders are grumpy (even for legit reasons).

Eh bro. Totally same sia! LOLOL I dont like mushroom but my wife likes. I always forget to tell this stall and another one I frequent that I dont want mushroom.

The amazing thing is they are open early and stay open until evening time I think. Got stamina sia. Some popular stalls open half day, earn enough go home and rest already.
Haha I know where already!!!Look out for the blonde hair ladies. Sure cannot miss one.
See my post in wanton mee thread : http://www.mycarforu...odle/?p=5736897

Ya that glutinous rice nice..always order this without fail when dim sum-ing (maybe new invent word now) 18 March 2016 - 11:36 PMLala81Yes the last part can be done in a very hot oven as well. But since I used the wok to simmer in the sauce, it's easier to just clean up one thing should be grill instead of pan fry right ?
Oiishii desu ne...........
Watashi wa dai suki desu yo !I've tried both before. I feel the porky smell is stronger if u use oven. Maybe I'll try it again since I'm better at cooking since that last attempt.Yummy....gd cook
My co cooked bell peppers yellow n red ones also for dinner ( is bell peppers on sale? cos we usually buy groceries on sale) but not so "feng fu" as yours...no prawns....only some minced pork
Char siu....use oven is better....also easier to clean
The wok method doesn't really require marinating.
I used bell peppers Cos my wife doesn't really like to eat them. so I seldom cook them even though I like them . Since we have my bil coming over, at least someone can share with me!
I make my own mince meat nowadays. Trying to get my kids to start eating mince meat.
18 March 2016 - 11:55 PMLala81Just want to cook home cooked meals for my family. I'm at work for most meals so I do like to eat at home whenever possible. Our Mcf in house doctor is also a good chef..

One reason only. Woh hup sauces are made in Malaysia. LKK sauces all come from... China.I studied at ghim moh. There are better CKT out there. Not worth the queue.Queued for 1 hour plus.
Fresh, hot and savoury. Shiok.
But actually might not be worth queueing so long for? Prefer firmer noodles.
But seldom eat nowadays.
It's above average but not great.
I preferred the ones at old airport road, Zion market
19 March 2016 - 10:54 AMBluerayYou are very patient.Queued for 1 hour plus.

My personal queue time limit is probably 10 mins max.
19 March 2016 - 11:01 AMGitanicin a all-rounded success in politics, think currently good cooked food for sale is neglected.

will be productive if issue tackled.

but first not assume access to good and cheap cooked food people will be lazy, helps.

Same here.....though, I did clock 30mins once or twice in my lifetime
I was down at People's Park yesterday staring at Yong Xiang Xing Yong Tau Foo, wondering should I even bother to join in the long queue lined all the way back into tan-gu-gu land

My time is more precious than spending on ueueing for food, no matter how good the food is.
Another reason is the food quality will drop if too much biz. The hawker will anyhow cook. So why waste time queuing?
