I know it's been discussed before but I really couldn't find the post, plus there 600+ pages to go through here....

I know the boot tray not available locally and have to order from Mazda Thailand, but can any bros here point me to which website or who I can contact to order the boot tray for the 3 deluxe sedan?

    Thanks in advance!

Bro if you really need go to Mazda.co.th you will need Google translate if you can't read Thai. Cash and carry I believe.

Do you have anything placed at the center area of the main console (above the center speaker grill)? The GPS antenna is located below it. Or did you install VKool solar film or something similar that can block out GPS signal? Else just go back to service center to fix it please.

    Hi Brother,
    I didn't install anything
Just don't know why suddenly the GPS doesn't work
Really need to feedback to Mazda

In the first place shouldn't there be a booklet or manual of servicing records which has the details of what jobs are to be done at each servicing which the servicing engineer needs to stamp or sign off each time the servicing is completed? Most cars nowadays have that no?

Just enjoy the collection process bro...

What you just listed are all covered under warranty. Even if you detected an anomaly, given that it is not a biggie, you will probably still drive off and get the workshop to rectify at a later date right? If your SE is responsible, she/he would have done a walk around check for you already.

But you might want go check out and get your tyre properly inflated after collection.. they are usually over/under inflated.

You can order from TEK. No need Thailand.

    Serious?

I am keen to get the boot tray but overshipping charge costs 1/2 of what the tray costs....

I think it's better do a proper check before collection. Anything major don't sign off so that they will rectify faster. Once collected they will take their own sweet time or not take the issue seriously. Some bros here encounter difficulties having their issues resolve swiftly after collection.

Installation very easy one. I think it's a rubber just 'wear' it over. Later you ask them install they say need to wait 3 hours.. I went for 1k servicing took the whole day liao.. Tmd.. Because i walk in. Complained so knocking sound on front sup ask me walk in.. Went at 9am went back at 4.15pm car still outside. They only start inspect my car at 4.30 and car is done with lubricating my front sup stopper..car done by 6pm.. Wasted one day..
If you keen on the pedal, tb have plus shipping confirm less than 50, but different quality though

It's only brake pad is slip on but accelerator and foot rest need to drill holes. You better check first. Forget about TB. I already have a set.

Im a new owner of standard edition and have some questions.

    1. Where can I get the fog lights done? Also, can I just get it fixed but I don't need wiring. Its just for appearance.

    2. The car audio /cd set - does it have bluetooth function? Does it have usb-plug in function? (i.e. I load mp3 files in a thumbdrive and just plug into the USB port to play.

    3. Does it have iphone audio function? Like when i plug my iphone to the USB port, the system can play from my iphone.

    Thanks

    To answer your questions:

    1. You can get it from JDM Autocare. You can leave it not connected if you wish so.

I can't help you with question #2 and 3. Maybe bros with standard Mazda 3 can help you with them.

Yeah! SE informed car is registered today and ready for collection tomorrow. I just wanna give a shoutout to him that I thought he is rather efficient.

I found out the process from him that, upon successful bid of COE, we make the balance payment via cheque/cashiers order. The clearance of payment and car insurance application will be processed con-currently.

Actually, upon successful bid of COE, my SE had already booked the appointment for the car to be to ready for collection. He adds that, it typically takes 5 days to prep a standard and 7 days to prep a deluxe.

During which, the company the above process of clearing the finance and insurance plus car registration can happen.

Although, I did not to get many freebies from him, just the standard ones, but I thought he was rather efficient in handling matters with frequent and prompt updates.

On hindsight, probably I got the existing stock, thus they could and wanted to have processed it with more "urgency".

I found out when I was choosing from the list of existing stock. It does indicate which batch was the delivery. But actually, come to think of it January batch might be manufactured in 2015 :)

Rfyl meant car spa lah. You understand him wrongly liao.

No la, what i am trying to say is these SE thinks we car buyers dunno anything and always trying to pull a fast one on us.

I remember when i first buying my first dew cars, i always listen to them and go for 1 bid guaranteed cause i scared i can't get a car.

Hates being conned so i like it when people share info with me and i will do the same.

Luckily my SE was honest about this. She told me there was no need to take guaranteed COE. TEK always secure COE within 6 bids.

how many biddings already for both of you when your SEs asked to top up?

if only 2-3 bids, i dun feel the need to do so unless u r in urgent need of the car. I think you should question the SE if its TEK's decision or his/her own decision to top up as they were saying the bidding is done by their management team. So does that mean TEK informed your SE to inform u to top up or his/her own decision so that u can have better chance of securing the COE?

so you mean its better to choose the non guarantee bids?

You mean to say the dealers will be more in a disadvantage position if they fail to bid the COE after you place the deposit and they order the car?

Of course its better to choose non guarantee... 1st of all, u save some cash!

And of course, its a disadvantage if dealer fail to secure coe for the buyer. Imagine company has forecast the sales but yet fail to invoice customer... That will means no revenue for the company! Hence dealers will try to secure coe as long as its still profitable. And if coe continue to go up north, they will use open cat which was bidded earlier, or ask buyer to top up.

hmm.. can't the car be allocated to buyer B if say the dealer can't secure a COE bid for Buyer A ? Of course thats some lead time as the car they order will sit for 6 or more bid la..lol

Of course can let B have it if A coe bid wasn't successful. But eventually A will still get a car not unless no more Open Cat or coe too high to be profitable. End of the day, they want sales and market share.

Btw, sales is always a number game. They have monthly quota to meet. Don't be surprise they will intentionally keep some sales figures for next month if this month they already meet their budget.

    Hey
I think whether it's guarantee or non will depends on individual situation. Whether you have a trade to trade in, how urgently u need a car etc.

My boss bought an altis during the big Coe drop last yr. after 5 Coe bids was told to top up about $6-8k. Boss refused and did not get his Coe after the final bid. He went to buy vezel after that. But resale value of his car dropped and he only got his deposits back to his cc about 2-3months later - LL got to slowly spend the money away from his cc.

LOL... tell your boss he can call the bank to have the money refunded via cheque. No need to slowly spend. Use credit card to earn discount, points or cash rebate, don't ever use it just because there's credit inside. (unless he only has 1 card)

    Link to the rubber.

second to this. Bought and installed on the 3rd day cos the engine noise/vibration from the bus is killing me slowly right from the 1st day. reduced engine noise significantly but cannot reduce the noise from rough road. Do note that the tape stickiness may not be up to your expectation as it does come off every now and then. So when installing, try not to stretch it and try to run your finger along the rubber to ensure that the rubber lining sticks to it.

Those are standard freebies offered by TEK. Anything more will be out of their commission.

Its all a matter of order books. If they have plenty of orders on hand, they will give priority to those cars with highest profit. Plus if the shipment commitment from Jpn is less than their orders, and if customers kanchiong and want the car badly, then top up to increase their priority queue. Its just business. I also top up 1k because I needed the car. Immediately they gave me open cat which was 2k above.

    Haha... Not true la.

COE rebate is the same across for all whom bought same time (maybe by same week, or before next bidding). So it has nothing to do with discounts or freebies.

As for bidding lower, it may be true though as they need to consider whether still profitable after giving too many discounts/freebies. End of the day, their intention is to make money.

Actually it's true. I told my SE I didn't want any freebies such as in car camera etc but I wanted cash discount. But if you die die want to top up to guaranteed, try bargaining. Some of the bros here topped up between $500 - $1000 instead of what the SE quoted you.

i wonder if it is better for ALL OF US not to agree to top up, then everyone stays status quo and make them give up. i guess better than to let them divide and conquer lol. I say we refuse to budge!

Taking train to work tmr after selling my car today. looking forward to watching a bit of korean drama on the phone before reaching office. Small comforts.

Exactly 1000oceans, I realise from this time round of car buying experience that dealers are very not transparent when it comes to selling cars. There are also no standard to adhere to, and every SE seems to have a free reign at what they want to do.

Yes some bros say we should do our homework and go bargain with the dealers but why is the onus on the consumer to fight so hard to expose their lies and tricks. Knowing what the product offers or bargaining is one thing, but how can consumer be expected to identify misinformation from the SEs? What can one expect the poor sod to do if he is being deliberately lied to? :a-bang:

No wonder motoring is always one of the industry with highest consumer complains filed and lowest customer satisfaction.

    hatuah bro you are right.

Sometimes the SE just says the his boss ask him to call de, they probably dont want to make themselves look bad?

Think about it, a SE may have 10 customers signed with him. All they need is to call all 10 of them to ask for top up. Says 3 agreed to top up, they earn extra commission liao. It is just statistics to them. Eventually you will get your car, whether are you in a hurry or not.

A good SE is one that thinks for his customer's interests.

Haha ~ I'm the guy who got rushed by SE!
