No test before deal? Then how to knw the handling, feel and quality of a car. This i really dnt understand.

Haha. According some brother here, once you test drive, the commission will be lock into the SE. So even you walk away and go other branch to buy, the commission still goes to him. So best is negotiate the pricing and etc. Then go test drive. Haha

Hi guys. Juz to clarify. I talk the euro at ubi juz nw abt talking terms 1st then test drive is not as really "true". He told me as there is only 1 car to test drive, average waiting time ard 20mins. E.g u r waiting 3 in line,it will be at least 1 hr. Since there is so much time, why nt discuss the terms first. Even today not much people,i didnt get to test drive today cos the SE is busy with another buying customer.

That commission locked to SE i ddint ask. Im only confused abt asking hw come talk terms then testdrive.lol.
Thght quite high chance to get M3, then the rear seat is abit cram as conpare to what im driving. Driver side and front passenger side has good space. Hell wish it is as long as the M6, too bad M6 is out of budget. Thanks so much for all the sharing. I shld go to down and test drive xv then decide. Hopefully i can join the M3 club and it built quality is just much better then thai made Altis. (So scared i endup buying altis again, haha)

This system is practiced to prevent other sales person to steal potential customer. If it is not lock in, you can talk to all sales person to get the best deal.

Btw lock in doesn't mean u cannot buy from another sales. But comms will be co-broke. If there's no lock in system, they do not even need to co-broke the comms!

Please try doing this - go Alexandra, look for salesman A and test drive and bargain a deal. Then go Ubi and bargain another better deal from Salesman B. Go back Alexandra and look for another Salesman C and tell him what deal u get from A and B. I'm sure u will get the best deal ever!

Hi Mz3 bros, I noticed many here are against PPS. Just want to share my recent experience with Ceramic Pro 9H.

Collect my Mz3 on 27/11/15, could only book my PPS on the following Monday 30/11/15, so drove "naked" during the weekend.

So Monday came and it was time to do PPS. To my horror, the PPS people informed me there was a huge gash on my passenger door, probably from the metallic chain on my SO's handbag. Anyway, they polished it up and managed to make it much less visible, and the car looks fantastic.

Fast forward 3 months later, I found another 3cm scratch on my rear passenger door, seems like the job of an inconsiderate hooligan! Anyway, during my usual car wash on weekends, I noticed that with some scrubbing, the scratch mark actually disappeared! Wish I had taken a video to show you guys...

Long story short, despite the hefty price tag, I find that PPS has been worth the investment. My car still looks scratch free, no swirl marks, no road chips (touch wood) and not to mention washing car is a breeze.

Disclaimer: Make sure you use a reputable one though, inferior quality ones might not give the same level of protection.

    Cheers.

I confirm the scratch resistance too.
A clumsy lady swung open her van door and scccrraaatched my car on the driver side. I was in the car. Came out and saw long heavy scratch mark. Used my handkerchief and lightly rubbed on it and it disappeared totally. I was amazed and relieved. My car had gone for ceramic pro 9H coating too on the same day of collection. And yes, its very easy to wash, just spray and drive off.... the water will roll off and dry. Especially since i have 20-spoke silver car rims, the coating made it a breeze to maintain. My M3 is already 1yr 2mth, and looks like new. It's money well spent with my experiences on how it is really magical. : )

If it's not deep, you can use something like Scratch-X from Meguiar to remove the scratch, and then polish the area.

If you are worried about DIY and doing it wrong, you can bring your car in for a pps or polishing session. They will remove the light scratch before polishing.

It's really up to you which one. Difference as I remember is the number of applications which means the no. of layers/thickness of the coating.
I made prior appointment with George and drove straight there upon collection of car and I did the lifetime. Later when changing rims, I brought the rims to George before going back to tyre shop to mounting it (a bit of running up and down). Plan the appointments beforehand.

Like most of the guys here say, the real difference is the service. It's almost impossible to differentiate the quality.

For warranty, 3 years is probably sufficient unless the guy wants to give you a free upgrade because you'll probably want to review what you want to do to your again in 3 years

All senior, does mazda 3 have panic button? Seem unable to get the car to sound the horn. Ie. When you at the car park and want to find your car then you push the button.

Nope don't have horn sound. Closest is to unlock the car doors and if you are close enough you will see the hazard lights blinking twice and two beeps.

hey bro, I'm at north area near yishun. thanks for the recommendation!

I am also in North. I tried toughseal for 500+. The service was good. They provide after service in the form of washing your car with quality shampoo for $10 as required by you to maintain the seal and patch when necessary. So try to enquire as both are in same Ind estate.

Bros, just did my PPS with Revol as you guys are probably aware since I mentioned it sometime back. Just sharing my experience and knowledge about PPS for Bros who are considering doing this. Before I continue, I will just share my experience with Revol and more importantly how I feel about the PPS. This is my first car and of course first time doing PPS, so here goes:

Why I choose Revol? I have done quite a bit of research online and decided that ceramic Pro 9H is the kind of PPS that I want for my car. Looking around, there are many workshop that can do this. Frankly, there are many with good reviews and some are rather ex, overall I feel that since it is my first time trying out, I would just go for something mid range. And also found out that Revol has expanded with a servicing workshop which I will probably visit in time to come. Lastly, it is also the nearest workshop (Amk) to where I am staying.

My experience with Revol. At first, I only wanted to do an one time application of ceramic Pro. After talking to Marcus, I think it is more worth it to take up their package (3 years warranty + 4 time applications of ceramic Pro). And since uob credit card promo that allows zero interest instalments for 12 mths, I just took up. Another important thing is that Revol actually allows me to transfer the unused applications should I change car with 3 years. After taking up the package, I am considered a member of Revol and other services are priced at member rates. I sent in in the morning and the car was ready for collection in the afternoon. I went back to work in between. The person I talked to was Marcus.

Ceramic Pro PPS. Just to let Bros here have a better understanding of this type of PPS, it is a hard and tranparent layer of coating that is permanently applied on the car which has hardness to prevent unintentional scratches. But to be fair, it cannot work as well if someone purposely scratch with keys or bang your car. Ceramic Pro will not help to prevent damage in these case, only miracle will. Some Bros mentioned that scratches can be easily removed, that is because the scratch is on the PPS. The underlying paint is protected. This is why PPS is useful and works as intended.

My experience with PPS so far. I took my car for servicing earlier this week at Mazda and they washed my car for me at the end. I took some photos. After PPS, I also took some photos. Again, being frank, I hardly notice any difference between before and after PPS. This is probably because my car is new, just one month old. After PPS, while driving home, there was a light drizzle. By the time, I reached home, the rain water has dried up and clearly there is no water stain at all. When I collected my car after Mazda servicing (before PPS), when I rub my finger on the car exterior, it is very clean and can hear "rubber" sound. Now my car feels oily, yes oily, but it is not oily (Haha this is not a typo, it just feel oily) and my hands are definitely not oily. This is the ceramic coating. It is supposed to behave like oil so it prevent scratches and water stain. Even my wife is impressed.

Summary. So far so good. PPS is supposed to prove its worth in the long run but I am not there yet. Perhaps after I have gone for my second session can I see the effect.

If any Bros is considering PPS, I would say just go for it especially if it is a new car. There are many good workshops around that do PPS, some Bros have recommended their vendors, you guys can consider too. I am with Revol now, so if you guys want to know more, just post your questions here or pm me. Will try to help if I can.

Cheers for great rides to come!

Yes!!! Found a plug and play device to enable auto lock of car doors when driving off. The last time when i was searching for it, my workshop quote me $300 a piece. Crazy price! Now finally source from the horse mouth and price is halved more than half.

Anyone keen for a mass order? I will be bringing in 5 units at $90 each with shipping cost to try out first but if i got more interested parties, i might be getting it cheaper..

The functions work in this manner..

    1) Doors autolock when you engage Drive Mode.

    2) Doors unlock when you change to Parking Mode or Engine is off.

    3) If someone alight from your car and you drive off after that and the car speed exceed 20km/hr, the doors will autolock again.

The best part of this device is that it is plug and play and no tapping of wires. So for those who are afraid of voiding car warranty can consider this and Best of all, if you wanna sell your car next time, you can dekit this device easily and sell it to other Mazda 3 drivers.

It is plug into your OBD port and within secs, your car will be configured. PM me if you are keen.

Hi bro..have PMed you..any updates on this? It will be really great if this managed to work..

My wife have been complaining about this o auto lock issue, especially since we sometimes travel to JB..

Assuming the fibreoptic strip is dimmable (or at least not too bright), consistent brightness, I would actually like this. But maybe not in red. Better in cool white.

Footwell lighting is always nice imo.

I saw those >> signal lights on a Wish once. A bit distracting for the driver themselves I think.

But it's also nice and provide other drivers in rear side angle with indication... pros and cons.

The bonnet damper, is that supposed to be hydraulic engine support so you don't need to use the prop?

Bonnet damper is good for mechanics to use. Guess the TEK mechanics will love you for that.

There should be 2 versions for the Skyactiv rides. With and without the side indicator in the mirror.

Any idea about the cost of the mirror? Think we can request not to connect the led light. I just want the wider view of the mirror to cover blind spot.
