Yup, the other store also man by an old couple.

I prefer this stall. It's called Chye Seng if I remember correctly.

    Quieter and less crowded corner.

according to the stall owner, they prepare all the food manually and not from factory

Add in some cloves of garlic and dried shitake mushroom to your porridge. Smell won't lose to these types of food.
Fastest way to add flavour to plain food.

    Waterway point?

Quite disappointed with my last meal at menya musashi at Waterway point.
    Too salty.
    I'd rather eat ajisen.

Wah haven't had this in ages.

yeah, took a while to season it. Initially paranoid it will rust, but seems fine now.

    From Japan [lipsrsealed]

My wife doesn't like to use it cos it's heavy, so only in use when I'm around.

Ah ok. Maybe i should steam that too.

But whole fish bit wasted since i don't like to eat the part over the stomach.

Egg ar. I only fried once so far. Tried to avoid initially in case my non stick coating nt good enough.

Its easier to flip with a metal spatula compared to my saucier non stick pan where i have to use a wooden spatula. So i don't think it's a fair comparison.

Haven't done he bao dan yet. lol.

?? BCM at kovan hawker centre.

Getting more oily each time I patronise the stall. They may in a way help move the needle of brent crude index...nonetheless, its noodle is still my preferred choice over the ?? stall next to it despite the latter has better CSL or CSR.

    At Asian Kitchen...

Roast duck with plum sauce base. My entire herd preferred this sauce over ??? herbal base.

Normal bean curb pot but the mushrooms were super duper soft and smooth. Play it with your tongue and you may be reminded of something very familiar...

Fish was tasteless with no seasoning at all, must go with the sauce beneath the stack of fish.

Mr father and I have been Hainanese since birth but we didn't know there's such a dish as Hainanese noodle as listed in the menu. The pic was tiny but appeared to be mee goreng at any zi char stall. Ordered it nonetheless and indeed, Hainanese noodle is mee goreng zi char style.
Very spicy but the ingredients were very fresh and the ee fu noodle as the choice for the dish was a delight.
