    To answer your questions:

    1) No, you will not get your road tax back.
    2) My SE did everything for me when I bought my Mazda 3. Basically, you need to hand in an application form (containing your current address and current policy number), insurance certificate, and car's ownership transfer agreement (you will get it on the day you collect your new car and trade in your old car).

Reimbursement of unused policy usually takes a while from what I have been told. I still haven't got mine after 2 weeks.

    Try Autokinetics or Hurry Tyre.

I checked about CeramicPro 9H protection from ACE Gt Pte Ltd, Yishun which I am still thinking about doing it. The Owner said that If I show his existing customer reference (copy of CeramicPro warranty card which they give after work done) I will get additional 5%. I think some of this forum members already done this so if any one can help please pm your copy of warranty card for me to get additional discount.

    Thanks again.

Hi guys, can I check if the hud can be turn off? Saw a few m3 with the hud up,but did not see the display, wondering if the owner switch the display off?

you can disable it via MZDConnect as well as adjust the panel angle.

The display should fold down when it is disabled.

That said, which angle you look at from? Only the driver can see what's on the HUD, so if you are looking at them from side angle or outside the car you will not see the display projection.

    1) As mentioned by others, road tax cannot get back.

    2) Give your insurer a call and for me (NTUC) no paper work required. They will send the rebated amount to you by cheque within 14 days.

    you can try it tomorrow...

off the i-stop and use ur brake to hold the car while gear in D at traffic lights...

I guess it depends on which shop that does the coating. Revol did the PPS on my previous car. I was quite happy with their work and the coating results. It was definitely much easier to maintain the car shine with the PPS (all I did was weekly car wash). The caveat is that you have to bring your car back for regular polishing and re-coating, at least once a year. The first PPS usually is costly, but subsequent polishing/coating is cheaper.

Also, does switching the i-stop off benefit us or the car in any way? Would be strange if switching it off maintains the life of the starter cos it's supposed to be a new tech thingee for the car that aids it.

The driver's door lock will lock all the doors when it's switched to the 'lock' position.

I think what he meant was that the doors will lock automatically upon engine start or move-off. I think I saw that option in the settings list on the MZDconnect. - just go to your settings option and scroll around. I think it's there.

I saw the Owner's Manual today when I collected my car. OMG!!! Like 'O' level textbook. Haha.

Scared get cheated as the nom guaranteed coe package is cheaper...

107+ is ok for gtd coe. Bought mine non gtd at 104+k and non soul red n no 3yrs servicing. Zzzzz

Its not the money but the trust factor...anyway i just hope things turn out right n i get my coe n car on time...if not i will definitely go to their showroom kpkb...

Might as well 5 yrs later spend 1.5k to respray the whole car to another colour.

Did u call ur SE to inform him/her ur collection date. As my i know from my SE shipment estimated arrive on 10 Nov and can arrange collection from 17 to 20 or later date but not earlier.

Need logistic & time for the guys to prepare car like polishing, pump petrol, qc check, iu....etc...

Hmmm....now I wonder if my SE smoke me. SE said car arrive this week. I banked in cheque on Wednesday, it cleared on Thursday. Checked with SE on collection date , he told me week of 16 Nov. Pushing for collection this week as he said car has arrived when I checked again with him on Wednesday. He said will update on collection date tomorrow, let's hope he remembers. Can't fathom why we need to wait 2 weeks to collect our car after down payment has been paid.

This question was asked before but I'm lazy to go back and plough through the postings ;p can any kind soul share on the exact model of toyo stock tyres that we're getting? Hubby thinking if we should change the tyres only and not the rims as well. Thanks in advance :D

I brought mine on 24th Oct for 6 bid non guaranteed and got coe on 1st bid (4 Nov) and will be collecting my car on 16th Nov.

Change tyres only no rim protector...change everything.....17" lightweight save fuel more stable and braking power is good....all round safety....remember to change before 500km or when the color bands on the tires are gone...it's consider old tires.... [laugh] The original Toyo Nanoenergy very easy to skid not much grip.

Yes that's right. I'm rather surprised cos my old car has that so I thought it should be a standard feature... but youshould still be able tolock/unlock all door by using the lock level at the door handle. I will try it later and revert.

Just to clarify, does that mean there is no button at the Drivers' seat to lock all the doors behind? That should be a safety feature for people with young children seated behind...

Forged rims r the most expensive and strongest.

Enkei with their MAT technology also is very popular. But note that most SC series are made in tw.

In my opinion, the stock Toyo tyres are decent. The gain in FC is not going to be significant by changing the tyres only. Lighter rims, however, will give you more significant gain in fuel efficiency.

By the way, if you switch to 50 profile tyres, you will change the diameter of your tyres. That will cause an inaccuracy to your speedometer. You can search for "tire calculator" on Google and use it to compare two or more tyre sizes. The calculator will tell you how much % off are you from the stock tyre diameter and will also tell you the estimate % inaccuracy to your speedometer.

Not sure whether the stock tire are Toyo NanoEnergy 3 with spec as below.

    http://paultan.org/2...o-nanoenergy-3/

Similar to that... NanoEnergy 3 is the one for commercial retailers.

Mazda's one is NanoEnergyR38, the OEM version...

Might as well 5 yrs later spend 1.5k to respray the whole car to another colour.

Just like changing handphone case to give a new look haha

For some, myself included, there is nothing comparable to the original paint coat, which was dip-coated. Especially if it is a pearlescent or metallic flake coat that has beautiful sparkle. Soul Red can be considered a "special" paint as it is a multi-coat that results in a multi-chromatic shine that can be difficult to replicate. Thus it is one of those types of paint that is worth protecting. Plain solid gloss paint, nah, you want respray that, no problem.

I would prefer to preserve the original paint as much as possible. Also it bodes well for your resale value... usually if you manage to keep original paint looking amazing, it instills confidence in potential buyer that you have care for your ride

I am in the same situation as you. Mine is sedan soul red deluxe. SE told me to drop cheque on 11th but collection date unknown. Could be 17-20th ... I waited since 15th Aug 2015. Bro Axela got his soul red much earlier although he booked later than me. My Friend in car industry says SE always smoke customers, it's part and parcel of the job. I just LL and wait and wait and wait...

Axela's one is a standard though, likely they had different stock counts for deluxe and standard.

Though honestly after seeing what he done to the car with aftermarket, I think should have gone deluxe... though I suppose some people enjoy the aftermarket feel more [thumbsup]

Oh wait. I just realised you were referring to the child lock. I'll let you know when I check later. Or has anyone else noticed? It should be standard on all cars. It's at the locking latch on the door body.

Mine was booked early Oct. Did all the paperwork and preliminary payments within 2 weeks. Collected on the 7th. Soul Red Dlx sedan. I also traded in my old car - I think that plays a part cos they make more money thru that.

i waited more than 3 months although i have trade in.

I ordered Titanium and no stock at all. Anyway, get to drive old car for 3 more months... haha

U can find the ans in the NCAP video I posted few pages back.

I've seen the video before you posted it. It seems to have 2 bags poping from the side. Typically 6 bags would mean front and back but brochure states 4. Hence my question.

Besides, the video is for the euro spec. Trims are known to differ region to region.

Any kind bros/sis is pretty sure that the local deluxe trim side airbags covers both front and back rows?

    Thanks!

Are you refering to NanoEnergy 3 205/60/R16 Load Speed Index: 92V is the stock tire?

does it have the same fuel efficient if i change the tire to 205/50/R16 load speed index: 87V?

What does a load speed index represent here?

The ratio is too far off! Your speed will read 100km/h, and actual speed will be less than 90km/h.

Use this calculator to check what is the tire size suitable to your existing setup.

So when changing tyre, should stick to the same profile as stock toyo tyres? Did you change yours? If you didn't, how are the stock toyo tyres? Slippery on wet road?

Yes, still to the nearest profile as much as possible. Else your actual speed will be different from your speedo. Use this calculator to check

BTW, I'm on stock toyo. Still need (almost 800km) and its not slippery.

Agreed. Sometimes Stamford tyres have stock clearance...I once saw a set of 18" Rays MIJ going for 250 a piece. That's a steal.

shall we use back the same reading on our stock tire of 205/60 for Enkei 17" rims?

To avoid an inaccuracy to our speedometer

I booked on 15-Aug. Also soul red deluxe sedan. I also traded in my old car. All factors are the same.

But I didn't get to collect on 7th Nov. I sms my SE in early November and he said confirmed my car has not arrived. I don't understand how they work or the company queue policy.

I salute you for your patience. You know, my SE initially told me collect car on week of 23 Nov and I said no way. How can I pay money and wait 3 weeks for collection of the car if it's already in SG? And I'm also away on week of 23 Nov. Now I'm pushing for collection next week, I don't buy having to wait for 2 weeks to collect my car when the money is already in their bank since last Thursday.

Yes, since you paid money, he has received his commission you should not wait 3 weeks. Did he say when will he register your car? If it's registered already it's unreasonable to let you wait 3 weeks to collection.

For my SE he asked me to drop cheque on 11th Nov and it will be registered on 11th. But he cannot promise the collection date. I am not so fussy to insist that there must be minimum gap between registration and collection but cannot be 1 week.
