No my friend is a local.

Wow. Are those from Follia? How's the food?

These are some of what I had at Follia. Desserts were my favorite! Didn't take any nice pictures because everyone just wanted to dig in for dinner.

Was at Ruth's Chris tonight for dinner with family. Have to say, the steaks they serve are simply one of the best. This is in HK but there is one outlet at Marina Mandarin.

Tried the Ribeye at medium rare. Not often I have steak medium rare but this one is good steak that cannot be ruin by overcooking.

    IMG_6848.JPG

Not the whole steak as I had eaten off a bit [:p]

Also order the lamb chop for my son

    IMG_6850.JPG

He was so quick there was only 1 left when I took the picture.

    Mushrooms

    Dessert

Actually also order T-bone, Porterhouse for two, onion rings, Caramelized Banana Cream Pie, Crabtini (this is actually very nice as you get lots of crabmeat), Spinach au Gratin and a few others. Should have taken more pictures but too busy eating :D

Recommended for anyone looking for a nice place to have steak. [thumbsup] [thumbsup]

Ramen Kaisuke Tonkotsu King - Four Seasons of Ramen Bugis Village.

One of my favorite ramen shop of late. The place itself has quite an authentic Japanese flavor in it. Menu is simple. Four types of soup broth - Spring, Winter, Autumn and Summer. You write down on their order sheet which season of soup you want, toppings, and pass it to them.

What makes their broth so delicious is that it is boiled overnight for 11 hours before serving. The end result is a thick and tasty soup. Imagine 11 hours of goodness.

Winter is my favorite or to others, the most boring so if you're unsure of what to order and not really an adventurous person, go for Winter!

Comes with free eggs and bean sprout.

A meal for 2 pax with normal soft drinks cost about $26.

Looks good. Feels like a two pax portion. What's the damage to your wallet?

Price is important to me because the most expensive steak I've eaten in my whole life is probably only about $50.

Not exactly a beef person haha.

I used to love durian when I was younger. Now, no longer.

I didn't like the aftertaste and the fact that even brushing my teeth three times I still had that durian taste and smell in my mouth, and on my fingers.

I would give you praise for this post but apparently I have no power yet... :)

After you eat durian, put a bit of salt on the inside ( white colour ) part of the hask ( cover or whatever you call it ), pour some water and drink that salt water, it will remove smell from your mouth.

Wash your fingers with water running down from the same white color part of the durian and it will remove the smell from your finger too.

quite ok consider we had early dinner with the kids, each main can share 2, and save some space for dessert.

a bit of problem on the mixed grill as 2 prefer medium and 2 prefer medium well, apparently have to settle for medium well.

The lamb shank can share up to 6 [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Thought the menu put beef shank, haha. So you all talking about the lamb rack or the beef shank?
