    Nice!

What tyre profile u using? The gap between the fender and tyre look wide or far apart... Or is it because of the photo angle?

Using 215/50-R17 tyres. Don't ask me about the rims, I've no clue. Only know that they are 17" BBS lol

No diff... Same same. Cat E can be use for all vehicles.

The effect will only kick in when u scraped your car. For example when u buy your car and the bidding result is as per below,
    Cat E is 60k
    Cat A is 50k
When u scrap your car on the 5th year, u get back 25k instead of 30k. Basically Cat E is tag to Cat A (if u buy a Cat A car) or Cat B (if u buy a Cat B car), Cat C (...) ... Etc, whichever is lower.

Another point i not sure is i heard Cat E cannot sell within 6 months.

So imo doesn't make any diff now (since E is higher than A) unless your SE ask u to top up which will be unfair to u.

In that case I just need to find out the open cat he is offering is from which month. Cos if it is from a few months ago, the prices are different. Open cat can keep 3 months.

Ya... Find out was Cat E lower than A (i guessed u bought the 1.5) at that time. But I'm sure the effect won't make a big difference.

    Swee lah, bro.

Great job! We all know who to go to if we ever need soul red colour spray job now!! Btw, did you ask them what they did to get the final colour?

Sorry I mean it's useless where you install the cam. As long as not their in-house brand not not installed by them they will threaten with voiding warranty.

How long is the warranty anyway? I'm sure it's not a lifetime warranty right?

So what rims did you finally get?

I went ahead with Tw rims, well they have proven to be pretty decent and affordable, else, there wouldn't be such a huge market. I went with RSW rims, still looking out for Mazda emblem to replace the RSW emblem. Also waiting for my parts to arrive from china b4 attaching the mod parts.. Also contemplating what colour to spray on the brake caliper (candy red, real orange or back to gold), since my last Mz2 i sprayed Gold... hahah

    CAR and DRIVER jan.2016 Issue
    2016 10 BEST CARS

"10Best involves more than drawing up lists of our sub-$80,000 favorites. Every year we enter our weeklong evalu*ation looking for new and improved combinations of virtues: value and engagement, performance and poise, sights and sounds, soul and character. The cars that earn this award do more than merely succeed on one or two criteria; they come to us fully formed, polished, complete. But how do they get that way? This year we delve deeper into our winners makings to better explain why they won. Who builds and develops these cars? Where? How do they go about it? What is a 10Bester truly made of? There are, of course, varied answers because cars are not simple things. You do not buy them on Etsy, and were not running a Maker Faire here. Automobiles are still the most complex and technologically advanced consumer products that man has ever devised. What follows in this section is our proof."

    THE WINNERS:
    10. BMW M235i
    9. Cadillac CTS Vsport
    8. Chevy Camaro
    7. Ford Mustang GT350/GT350R

I think the leather should all be from Japan...just that the parts imported seperately from car and then fitted locally...to save on ARF tax on OMV...

Also contemplating what colour to spray on the brake caliper (candy red, real orange or back to gold), since my last Mz2 i sprayed Gold... hahah

Nice colour combinations on e rims bro. Will look good with the mazda speed kit!

Anw issit the angle or the gap appears to be a lil big?

Do question ur SE, since all item is Factory fitted, whats the hold up, if you wish, do ask for break down of hold up and give a daily update on the progress hahah. mine told me then the car is not ready, i questioned, whats the delay since all is factory fitted... SE say too many cars and shipment delay...

for those non factory fitted leather seats do check for the headrest, the catch holding the leather together may dislodge easily, per my eariler Mz2.

Thanx bro! the mazda speed kit is on the ship from china.. hahha its suppose to be carbon fibre design and not matte black, (duno how true, wait till it arrives in mid dec ba... )

The gap is bigger upon tyre change, cos the car was hung with the wheels dangling and pulling downwards due to gravity, but will slowly decrease ABIT after a few days of drive. BUT! its only 17", the gap sure big, hahahahh unless 19", but 1.5L with >18" ...... the drive may feel sluggish, no pwr to pull ah. hahahah

Tyre size: 215 50 r17, this size is suppose to give a sweet comfort ride (wanted 225 45 r17, cos got discount, but missus heard tyre guy say 215 50 r17 gives better comfort she opt for that abit $30ish extra/tyre), I heard its the closest to the stock 205 60 r16 fit.. • 20 November 2015 - 09:03 AM
    ShawnO

bro, if you remove the headrest from the seat, the leather on the headrest is held together by a catch/locking mechnism (macham buttons on your shirts), the catch may come loose and no longer hold the leather snuggly together. a low possibilty of occurance, my frens who drive Mz2 than did not encounter this, only me..

If u r using 55 then u will be rolling too fast.

    Agar agar...
    If 50 profile; speedo 100km/h, actual 99km/h
    If 55 profile: speedo 100km/h, actual 103km/h

    You can check here. https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc

Having said, 55 will make u cover longer distance as the circumference is longer. Anyway 50 is still the best imo. It also make the rim look bigger (nicer).

Hi guys, I need to seek your advice. I just bought a mazda 3 about 2 weeks ago, down pay 10700 on the day i signed the paper work, and the agent told me now to pay up the rest to the company via cheque. The delivery date is around 7-9 Dec. Is this process normal? Why do I have to pay before checking? Sorry, but this is my first time buying a car so I need clarification.

whether is better or not is up to your taste... they have pro and cons, but I would say that overall LED is far superior. I have some quite advanced LED headlamps, so in the correct implementation they have very impressive capabilities.

I had originally sourced for my 17 inch rims and tyres with good $500 dollars trade in offer for fresh stock wheels but did not proceed cos SE told me AIG requires vehicles to be stock. Coupled with the knocking sound earlier batches had, I decided to wait and Wear down the stock tyres first. Change insurer next yr as well.

For my case is my SE show me the records of my car because i waited 3 long mths (0 stock for Titanium Flash colour). Its like a delivery slip from japan indicating the manufacturing batch and date.

Maybe our car serial number may also review the manufacturing date. Must know how to read.

LED is actually the more expensive technology to implement at the moment.

    HID:

    +Generally brighter

/ color temperature is typically bluish

    +Cheaper

+By law, comes with headlight washers

+ can be very glaring if not properly levelled

    +high efficiency

    -Has warm up time

-Can be damaged by short-stroke flashing

    -Shorter lifespan

-Produces heat in the bulb, but still much less than halogen

    LED:

+Brightness can be as bright, if not brighter than HID, if the design is made that way

+depending on the design, also can have better beam fill

/ Color temperature varies, but typically white-light with a blue tinge

+No warm up time, instant activation and full brightness

+The small size of individual LED allows them to be designed very uniquely

+Reliability and lifespan of LEDs is much longer

+Individual headlamp units usually contain multiple LEDs, and it is unlikely that the entire cluster fails all at once... maybe one or two diodes

+Allows local-dimming of sections of the beam (such as on my ride) to reduce glare on other drivers

    +can be very high efficiency

-Due to the fact that LED runs off an electric circuit, it produces heat in the PCB, and often requires heatsinks/fans to cool the headlamps

-Usually the most expensive option of headlamps

-Not user replaceable, most of the time. A lot of car manuals for LED-based headlamps/tail lights will say not user serviceable

The Mazda2 has LED headlamps because it arrived later than Mazda3, so they were able to implement the design. If you check, you'll notice that the Mazda6 also uses LED AFLS headlamps in its upper spec models now. The Mazda3, when product-refreshed, will probably also use LED headlamps.

LED headlamps have a very wide capability - in Mazda2, it's using angling beam projector, others like Peugeot's 31-diode headlamps are static projectors, but then there is examples like Mercedes' Intelligent Light System on C/E/S class or Audi Matrix LED beam. Those have local dimming, beam patterning and angling. Versus HID, LED have the advantage of being able to do local dimming, since they are not a single bulb.

Thanks for the info bro. I appreciate your reply.

LED is actually the more expensive technology to implement at the moment.

    HID:

    +Generally brighter

/ color temperature is typically bluish

    +Cheaper

+By law, comes with headlight washers

+ can be very glaring if not properly levelled

    +high efficiency

    -Has warm up time

-Can be damaged by short-stroke flashing

    -Shorter lifespan

-Produces heat in the bulb, but still much less than halogen

The USA Mazda 3 has the activesense headlights that activate the leds according to the traffic in front of the car. Sadly, SG Mazda 3s don't have ANY safety features. If you flip to the safety submenu in the Apps menu on the MZDconnect, it's.....EMPTY!!!

Can describe which function is this? I understand i-activesense from Mazda offers High Beam Control and Forward Obstruction Warning, but what you describe sounds as if the car only turns on the DRLs when got traffic in front or something.

It's the ALS (Adaptive Lighting System) - Probably only available in the newest variants of Mazdas which have the LED headlights.

All the same, it's quite disappointing and unnerving that the company does not place much priority on safety systems - Lane departure, blind spot warning etc

Ah. My ride has these features. But you mention this is available in USA?

That's why I was puzzled, because last I was aware, in USA has such adaptive headlamps illegal. Europe and Australia allow it.

Mazda is actually quite keen on promoting safety, but in order to get prices down and compete Eurokars' Mazda3 comes here with little in way of safety extras. If you want LED ALS, blind-spot monitoring, front & rear parking sensors, etc., you must buy the top grade Mazda6 Luxury R 2.5L... and even that is missing their Forward Obstruction Warning (last year's model had that, strangely!).

Mazda3 at least has the AFS function on the bi-xenon headlamps though. Quite nice to see that in such a low price point. I do expect though that the facelift/refresh Mazda3 will offer this LED ALS.

Hmm...the current mazda 3 already has Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFS) for its bi-xenon hid headlights leh...

For my case is my SE show me the records of my car because i waited 3 long mths (0 stock for Titanium Flash colour). Its like a delivery slip from japan indicating the manufacturing batch and date.

Maybe our car serial number may also review the manufacturing date. Must know how to read.

    Thanks!

Yup. My mistake - it's the Aussie version, not the USA one. How come your ride has them?
