Any bros here going to the Mazda Club meeting next Thursday? If work is not holding me back, I am planning to make my way down.

where to see! & possibly RSVP, have to see work too! if not i'm interested too!

Mazda bros always give way to other mazda bros on the road. I experience many times mazda bros gave way to me. In turn, I give way to other mazda bros!

now that you said it! i've noticed too, also guilty tt im biased in letting other zoom zoom's in front of me esp during peak hour too.. hahaha

No need to RSVP lah. You can join SGMC if interested on FB. The meet will be at Kallang Leisure Park parking lot from 7-9pm.

The bold part is only relevant if they use Cat E to bid in the first place.

no mz3 car yet lei how to go hahaha

    ahbear82

Yes, they will be able to see... its "live". Everyone can see, including you and me whom is not bidding. The figures will just keep going up towards the last 15 min.

BTW COE Rebate works this way. Assuming when you sign on the dotted line when is 50k COE, and COE rebate is 45k. That means if during bidding and COE closes at 40k, then you can take back 5k from TEK (probably as cash, i not sure).

If they ask you to top up 2k and end up COE for CAT A/B closes at 60k, then they will give you Open Cat lor... Open Cat that was bidded last bidding which is lower. TEK won't swallow 13k so stupid lol

Don't forget Open Cat is transferable and can be kept for 6 months.

wow... very detail explanation, would like to up you, but i not enough points...

If can the bros here can up my points to 25? The i will be able to give you all points..lol

After the test drive, I think you are locked on to this SE for 6 months. So should you buy a Mazda I think 1/2 or all comm from the other SE you decided to buy will also go to this SE.

That's why most SE is so keen to let you test drive after just talking for awhile.

I swapped my SE as well... Went with a friend end last year to test drive. He booked the car, while I decided to KIV. For deluxe, can ask for these:

    1. Solar film (they give RIke Cool. If you don't want rike cool, can ask them to give you the $$$ equivalent then you go do outside yourself after getting the car)

    2. Car cam

    3. Free servicing, up to 30,000 km

    4. If getting Soul Red, can try to get the $500 waiver

When I bought my Mz3, my SE said instead of asking for more freebies, I should ask for higher trade-in value for my old car. Freebies usually are deducted from their commission from what I understand.

I don't know if I got smoked, but I received $3k more from Mazda than what Kia and Hyundai were willing to offer for my old car.

Any recent buyers here can let me know what car cam you got? I have an existing car cam that is quite good, so if the provided car cam is not as good as my current cam, I'll prioritise bargaining for the other stuff. 12. Why my SE is different from others
    - Guy, high 30's to mid 40's - Very hokkien type, but kind enf to discuss properly the financial's and procedures. Did a very detailed job in handing over and transfer of insurance from previous car. Good follow up and clear accountability of COE bidding status and accommodating to us when we want to pay the down payment.
    Friendliness - 4.5/5
    Knowledge - 5/5
Willing to give in to bargain - 4/5
Overall attitude and pushiness - 4.5/5

When I bought my Mz3, my SE said instead of asking for more freebies, I should ask for higher trade-in value for my old car. Freebies usually are deducted from their commission from what I understand.

I don't know if I got smoked, but I received $3k more from Mazda than what Kia and Hyundai were willing to offer for my old car.

This is my 1st car.. i got nothing to trade in....

Forgot to add, 3M floor mat.

Wah, see me no up? Haha!

    Hi Guys,

Booked my car during the week of car show for 1.5hatch back deluxe. SE said the stock will come around March or April.

Any bro here has the ETA from the SE?

    Thanks!

    What color did you choose?

I book my just before Chinese new year. Actually can collect the hatchback this weekend liao. But I'm still waiting for my number plate bidding results.

When I book the hatchback, there are limited colors.

    Yup

Can change why not. Just that most SE once know that you had test drove with other SEs bedfore will not be so keen to 'service' you.

    Ya bro...

The SE may end up "co-broke" just like property lol

Wow. Like that not very fair to the SE hor.. What if you test drive.. Then your friend recommend you a SE. Then you buy from that SE and the SE don't get the commission..

You got a very good deal. The dash cam can be worth $1xxx, free servicing up to 30k. [thumbsup]

You should ask the SE if foglight is illegal then why the deluxe comes with it. By the way its not illegal to have them. Its illegal to switch them on on most occasions thats all. :a-bang:

As a basis for comparison, my package came as the follow when coe was 56k~ and booked on 10th aug 2015 , registered 28th Oct

Brochure Price 106,xxx. Standard edition; Interest Rate 1.88% (SG national day weekend promo)
    2. Car cam
    - Wanted to get but during then out of stock, gave cash equivalent rebate of SGD $1,xxx
    3. Free servicing, up to 30,000 km
    - got 3 years / 60k - km after bargain, was offered 20k initially
    4. If getting Soul Red, can try to get the $500 waiver
    - Unwilling to give so in the end gave up bargaining for this and went with the cool titanium flash :a-good:
    5. Window visor/ Foglights
    - Asked for foglights but SE keep say is illegal so nvm...

Mz3SP0907, look like yours except for the boot lip and the WHEEL hor. [wave]

    Check this out?!

You should tell your SE that you should ask for a higher trade in and more freebies.

From what i know, they also get a comm from the car that you trade in to them. Some offer low trade ins and seller is willing, they will offload to used car dealers and make the difference on what the dealers offered.

Yes, freebies are from the comms of the SE. SE desperate to closes your sale to hit target, everything goes, usually.

When I bought my Mz3, my SE said instead of asking for more freebies, I should ask for higher trade-in value for my old car. Freebies usually are deducted from their commission from what I understand.

Thats the power of forum. Get ideas and inputs from a lot of people. Some are crappy (me) and some are very good.

Thanks, this is useful info! Have been talking to colleagues about cars and none of them have ever mentioned this. V. glad I asked around MCF, can always learn new things!

98 will not certainly not hurt your engine and technically speaking should not translate to better FC or performance.

The compression ratio for the skyactiv Mazda engine is pretty high, think its 14++. Putting in a higher octane fuel should "better protect" your engine in the long run. That said, if OEM has specified the minimum octane level, it should be safe to use 95. Another consideration is that the price difference (~30 cents/litre) between 95 and 98 is rather significant....

I wish I'm below 30..haha.. 32.. I know that AIG is not the cheapest. Direct Asia is much cheaper. But the good thing getting from tek and if you continue with them and if you need to claim insurance, you can go back to tek to do. But if you buy outside, I don't think can. Also if you get from AIG direct, I think they cover only first 3 years. Something like that..

Maybe first year coverage for a new car is also more expensive, because of the "one to one car replacement" clause in case of theft or totally wrecked car.

I feel AIG insurance is a bit expensive, but bo pian... the package that I signed required me to take up their in house insurance, which is AIG.

Yes, it's the same kit actually. I guess there are more than 1 company making the replica kit and decided to call it as they like haha. It is originally an OEM Mazda 3 aero kit.

You can opt your own insurance instead. Just that don't have 500 discount. Getting in house is more for comprehensive package, as touch wood if you want to claim, you can go back tek instead of selected work shop pre selected by insurance company. Actually if you go and ask AIG directly, the price is about the same but the offer free towing services be it low battery or flat tires. Tow to anywhere of your choice. But you only can go back tek for the first 3 years, there afterall you can't. So if you want to go back tek, you need to get the insurance from them. :) that is what I know. For more detail, please check with the insurer directly. :)

I op for another insurance company after my first year. But always look for the option to include AD as your desire workshop. Normally it's the premium plan. Talk to a insurance sale personal, you will still save a bit because AiG is renown for expensive.

Actually you can just go to any workshop for oil and oil filter change, just make sure they use original Mazda oil filter. Then you can go TEK for 1k servicing, they will not change oil or filter anyways.

erm... Mazda 3 all come with sun roof right, rekon this will indirectly increase the maintenance cost too as the sun roof mechanism also need to be maintain..

Say if you open the sun roof and forget to close it, will it auto close once you off the engine? (part of the safety feature) ? To prevent this sort of scenario whereby forget to close it then water all leak into your car when it rains....

Say if you open the sun roof and forget to close it, will it auto close once you off the engine? (part of the safety feature) ? To prevent this sort of scenario whereby forget to close it then water all leak into your car when it rains....

TEK doesn't change oil or filter in 5K too...:(

Actually you can just go to any workshop for oil and oil filter change, just make sure they use original Mazda oil filter. Then you can go TEK for 1k servicing, they will not change oil or filter anyways.

I think its moon roof. It doesn't open up to allow air in.

Never heard of Tenet but will definitely look for them before the end of the year for renewal.

    Thanks for the info. [thumbsup]

Oh yeh. I'm with tenet too. My mz3 AIG offer me special rate $1100. Tenet quote $750. NCD protection ( free if 50%ncd) and can repair at TEK. Can name 5 driver. For me it's a good buy for me. Been using it seem previous car.

Air flows out. I open it after my car has been in the sun for extended period. You can literally feel the hot air exiting the car. I don't drive with it open though - don't like leaves in my car.

isn't changing the necessary fluid or oil (engine oil, brake fluid, gear box fluid) and all the wear n tear part form part of the servicing? Why TEK doesn't change oil? You mean after servicing with them got to go to another workshop to change oil?

I think the roof can be open in a certain angle, like small outlet only lol. Else just close it but open the cover for the view lo.

TEK will not change fluid or oil (engine oil, brake fluid, gear box fluid) in 1K & 5k but they check and topup if necessary when it low.

they will only change in 10k.

just curious, why you need to get it change in 1k or 5k?

so does it auto close when off engine?

I don't think it auto-closes when you shut off the engine. I have never tried to leave it open while I am away from my car.
