Exactly, they'll tell everyone they are given priority, won't know who has the real priority hee hee.

Glad to hear that it's worth the wait. Looking forward to collection next Wednesday. I reckon it should be better than our Vios, which served us well for the past 9 years :D

The variant is slightly different from trans eurokars. Its with the 8" display but 1.5 version. The AD version is 2.0L.

AD version has 1.5L for hatchback too. This version aircon control looks primitive and the head unit isn't Mazda connect? Or did I see it wrongly? Looks so different from mine.... (Haven't collected the car and already memorized most of its looks hee hee)

    Yup...very angry!

Good thing that you managed to get it from another workshop

I didn't see the 8" display in the pictures leh... you mean they add locally??
Saw this Alexa Sports 15C newly appear in the LTA omv list of car models being registered last month...
It's the model straight from Japan retail I think.... the fundamentals are differently tuned.
    HORSEPOWER 82kW(111PS)/ 6,000 rpm

    instead of 88kW (120PS)/6,000 rpm...

So which version is faster? Sorry, not very good with these figures

    U from VOGS forum?

Yes, how did you know? We even used the car decal till recently Hahaha. But not active after we got our car. I think we only went for the meet up once or twice. Were you from VOGS forum too?

Mine is also a Vios. Same as you! Mine is also very reliable. This end Nov will be 10 years.

Based on specs it is better than Vios.

Bro Fantastic_Duck, my SE said he'll register our car next Monday. Anxiously hoping for nice number now, fingers crossed. Wow, your SE quite busy, sales must be good after the car expo. Better remind him that he shouldn't register your car too early if you are only collecting on 20 Nov.

On the topic of registration. I think they reg 2 days before collection. My SE told me if reg on 17th, I will collect on 19th. If reg on 18th, I will collect on 20th. So based on this pattern, should be their SOP.

It is. $100K for the Mz3 HB. Its really not that funny.

It is cheaper since AD is selling at $108,888 now for the standard hatch. However, if the specs given by Danzo earlier are accurate, the difference in engine power can be quite significant. The AD version gives out 120bhp and 150nm of torque.

The PI version comes with 8" touch screen I'm guessing - which is probably the same as what AD SEs will throw in for the standard version. Which probably means that the PI version won't be equipped with the deluxe version frills neither.

There's really no point comparing with AD foc for first three or so servicing - really quite insignificant. Most other car makes give better deals on that.

    Just my two cents too.

Wow, fellow Vios driver switching to Mazda, high 5! Yes, the car is reliable and super worth the money. Cheaper than the COE that we're paying for the Mazda 3 now lol. You are right, the specs for Mazda 3 is no horse run compared to the Vios. So looking forward to driving a car with more frills than our trusted Vios heh heh.

That's my impression too. Because it was the same for current Vios and previous car, register than 2 days later collect car.

Do you mean iStop button is off? or that iStop button is on but just not activated?

Sometimes you get that very "faint" vibrations when it was not braked properly...try release the brake pedal and brake again...does it help??

iStop button turned off after starting the engine. When engaged to Neutral when stationary, there are mild to moderate vibrations coming from the driver cabin area only. Tried braking like you said it still doesn't help.

Getting my new ride soon and also doing research on this too... I think the extra batt (carecell or something like that) is to provide the extra juice for parking mode monitoring.
Do correct me if i am wrong ;)

Also worried if there is any effect on the iEloop n etc... Any comments from bro n sis out there? Thks.

I planning to install the dash cam with extra battery too.

Omg... Collecting my new ride very soon... Is the photo shows without the door plug?
Sorry sorry.. for asking as i will keep this in mind during the collection on how it should be look like.

I am usig iRoad V9 without the external battery pack. The iRoad comes with a power cut off feature. When it detects low voltage, the cam will shut down on its own. So i don't think an external battery pack is needed

You mean ramp up to 70KM/Hr from 0km??
The lower gear does take a bit time to change but once on higher gears, just medium to light on the pedal can get you to 70Km/h and keep up....
Taken some time to run in the car first few weeks but just done a TownA-KPE-MCE-AYE-TownB journey and the trip info recorded 4.2L/100KM (23.8km/L) first time... wow!

I was also driving Altis and somehow, i also "think" Altis from 70 and above pickup faster.

BUT, it may be a psychological issue... The car is new now, we are sort of running in and tends to be gentle...
Maybe, i not sure. The accelerator pedal also different design/concept.

Anyway, u want the horse to run faster, feed more grass! Step harder then ;)

Waiting for my mazda 3 1.5 next month...

Tried asking SE to swap my 16" rim to 18" from the 2 litre version one + willing to top up, but SE reluctant say cannot[;)]

Any bro here knows any place in sg that carry original mazda 18" rim?
Dont know why but I prefer original design rather than after market rims..Find those after market 1 too bengish[:p]

It is often this case. The SE seldom could help in doing this swap. One way possible is to visit some of the rims/tyres shops to ask if anyone has traded/sold their original Mazda rims to them. You may get lucky.

The other way will be to do it online such as seeking out the rims from potential sellers or any sales of the stock rims you want.

I'm also on a look-out for my 19-inch original Mazda rims:)

Not only that, original mazda rims ensure that u dont ve to insert centre bore adaptor as its perfectly fitting.

Those adaptors deteriorate ovetime and your wheel will vibrate....

The 3 comes with all the bells and whistles equipment wise. Got things like sunroof, halogen headlight, paddle shift and sports kit. Faster century dash.

Only areas the basic 6 trim is better would be comfort, better insulation and size. Lights also yellow type. No sunroof etc.
To get the equipment upgraded you need to get the executive trim of the 6. That will put it about 15k more than the 2litre 3.

Depends on your needs. 3 more young executive feel. 6 is like an upgrade but the basic trim is definitely not attractive specs and costs wise.

Mazda 3 is a family saloon for the sporty young at heart.

    Bro VFB

you are exactly right...People asked me whether I am driving my son's car... [laugh]

For sportiness, the engine map is most likely to be designed to kick in at higher rpm .. so when you travel at 6th gear at 70/km, it doesnt has the torque to pick up due to its low engine cc ... so it will drop 2 or 3 gear to pick up and this enhance the sportiness feel to the driver.

Also, I feel that it has a learning ECU as after driving spiritfully, the gearbox always kicks during pickup but lay off after I drive normally again.

Spoken like someone who truly knows this car very well!!! I fully agree!! :a-m1212:Can put your advance driving skills to good use except can't use 'heel & toe' only [laugh]

The lower gear does take a bit time to change but once on higher gears, just medium to light on the pedal can get you to 70Km/h and keep up....
Taken some time to run in the car first few weeks but just done a TownA-KPE-MCE-AYE-TownB journey and the trip info recorded 4.2L/100KM (23.8km/L) first time... wow!

Thanks for the reply. I will monitor and use the pedal according to the car response. Cheers

Ha Ha. It could be psychological..... I have a feeling that I need push harder to go past 70-80 below that its very gentle, lets cross 1000k to see the what happened. May be by then we are used to it.

Of course 18" will fit. The 2.0L variant comes with 18" stock. The 2.0L and 1.5L have exactly the same body dimensions for sedan and hatchback.

Yes, 18" can fit easily. Check the width and offset of the rims tho before buying. If you plan to lower your car, I reckon 18x8.5 +45 offset is the max that you can go without the need to alter the camber angle or roll your fender.

And if don't intend to lower the ride, what should the width and offset be? Sorry, clueless with such things so Will need to clarify, thanks :)

Then any width is ok lol. Anyway you don't want it to be too wide also. Your car will look weird if the wheels stick too far out out from the fender.

    Mz3 offset should be 50.

This applies to both 17" an 18"? Means cannot be higher than 50? Or must be 50?
