It really depends on the fc u manage to clock. For me, a full tank will cover 600 plus km till the low fuel lights up.

Depends on how you drive, what's your load, what's your route.

Bro, avoid running low on fuel.
I'm not sure where the fuel pump is located for M3, but running low on fuel means the fuel pump is running "dry". It may burn the fuel pump.
Imagine a pump is submerged in fuel to help cool it down, but yet it's not submerged.
WOW!!!
650 700km

Very well said.

strangely, during my first top-up the trip computer estimated range to be 710km. but nowadays when i top up it only says 630km. did the computer just extrapolate the range based on my driving habits?
I use H11 in my deluxe. I think the base of H8 and H11 is the same. Similar to our license plate lights. They can be T10, 921 or 194.
What brand is the LED?
Thks....mine not deluxe, fix oredi not nice...below white on top halogen.
What brand is the LED?
I am using halogen bulbs still, but in yellow color.

3, first time u top up to the brim but the next few not as full?
I tried to update a few days ago, but none is available. You need to download the software from Mazda website first in order to check and download the update (if available).Sometimes I wanna go to a place where I only know the street name and not postal code. Of course if have postal code is very straight forward.
Haha haven't removed the sd card since car collection. You try and share with me yeah.
By the way, saw a Mazda 2 undergoing Eibach Pro-Kit installation on Godspeed FB page. Is that your car? Can't wait for mine to come hehe.

all the occasions were full tank... i'm talking about the predicted range on the trip computer. different route and different load shouldn't have affected because the car wouldn't have known how much more load i was going to carry.

Actually if u observe during the night from outside... ... With minimal light, maybe parked in the multi storey... U will see the film is actually very not perfect... Little little spots etc...
My guess is u can txt the SE and ask.
Liklely the third party will tear off the film and redo.

Rike Cool warranty is not bad. I had my windscreen re-done twice on my previous car due to wrinkles - no questions asked. Just call them up to make appt first. They removed the old film and applied a new one.

Heya guys, my laopokcar is due for scrap soon. Mazda 3 is at the top of my list now

Have several questions which i hope gurus here can help Apologies for any noob qns.

1) Any idea when is the 2016 version coming to our shores? (or will it ever come?)
2) The current version for M3 is 2015 version i suppose?
3) Is there any cosmetic difference between the standard/deluxe versions? Or simply just the addition of several premium stuff?
4) What choices of car seats are there for M3? I saw some of yours with white, looks great in a red M3, but i have a dog, so probably not the way to go... Red seats or just the usual black ones?
5) Suppose the bargin should be focused on the amount of services during crunch time?
6) Any tips on what to look out for when it comes to the actual buying process?
7) I have a OPC verna due for scrap in 6 months time. I'm assuming its better to scrap and take the 6k parf rather than trading in with them yea?

Was considering Elantra but after test driving both, the interior design/materials and the ride just doesn't cut it when compared to M3, the only advantage being the much silent interior which can easily be insulated by any dealer.

Thanks all!

Share with you my limited knowledge.
Q3. The deluxe has fog lamps and headlight washers. The interior leather and head unit are all installed in Japan, versus the standard which is locally fitted.
Q4. There is black and sand white interior. Those seats with red trim are available on Mazda 2. If you have a dog maybe black is better. White seats has higher OMV than black.
Q7. You can scrap through Trans Eurokars too. Save the hassle and you may get overtrade depending on the current promotion

Thanks bro for spending the time to answer my queries I have been browsing through the thread and seen your car, looks superb mannnnnnn!

I suppose most peeps just made an appt and walk into Eurokars... Perhaps if there's a motor show, there may be better lobangs, i suppose...
I stay in north, work in Changi. 80% expressway and 20% city. I accelerate normally (not the fastest, but faster than normal lorry) and the gear change at around 2000rpm. I'm definitely not the slowest driver around, but I try to accelerate BEFORE going up slope (not during up slope), accelerate when going down slope or can go easy on accelerator when going down slope to save fuel. I think the key is to have a relax mood to drive, do not accelerate and brake like those who like to tailgate others. Even at heavy traffic on TPE in the evening with avg 30-50km/h, also possible to achieve 5.5-5.9L/100km mileage. Just sharing.

Mileage for the past few tanks ranges from 5.2 to 5.9L/100Km. :-)

1) IMO set position is a little of personal preference. I'm ok with sitting a little further back so that my arms don't have to be very angled at the elbow although some prefer the bent arms. Basically any position that allows you quick response to changes in road conditions but at the same time doesn't cause too much fatigue should be ok.

2) If you have the cash, then by all means change. More for looks than performance - doubt you can do much racing in a 1.5l car. Alternatively, you can save the cash for now and change them two years later when you change your tyres. You may get $500 or so for the trade in of brand new tyres and rims but then again, these are NEW tyres and rims that you're getting less than $125 a pair for.

3) Definitely. But unless you're driving at 100kph constantly, you probably won't need racing brakes or tyres. I'm assuming the good set of brakes you 're referring to are ones such as Brembo, Project U etc. Cost a lot but mainly for heavy turbos.

4) From my knowledge, open pod (i'm guessing you're referring to these) filters don't make much difference to Auto Tranny cars. Neither do huge exhausts.

These are mainly from what I know from chatting with other car owners over the past decade plus. You can always find more info from the web. You can also talk to the workshops (however, remember that their top priority is to do business so you might want to take what they say with a grain of salt and ask around with other workshops too).

Cheers and enjoy your ride!
Noted and sorry can't give u a praise as not enough pts.

U mean the drop-in one? It doesn't give you any boost (at most 2 hp) in performance compared to the stock filter.Had any bros/sis change to use K&N High-Flow Air Filter?
Any difference compare to stock Air Filter?
When do we need to change? 1 or 2 year?
I used to have an open pod K&N intake in my turbocharged Focus. It could last for 2 years, but it needs to be recharged (cleaned and lubricated) once every few months to maximize its usage and performance. I am not sure whether the drop-in filter needs to be recharged as well.

Call your SE to arrange the third party to do for u. Warranty 5 years!!

Only 5 years? My previous Honda City had a 10 yr warranty.
Dropped in filter also needs to be washed and oiled. Open pod will be great for sound and high end power but Low end will lose out.
Yes agree.
If low end driving, maybe say below 2.5k rpm, u will lose big time with OP. Slow and high FC.
Unless in a race, else u will not use high end power to drive on day to day commute.
K & N drop in filter suffer low end pickup....no point, my last car Lancer EX play before, throttle body also very fast dirty...been there, seen and done that....u want go open pod....shiok but more for manual car!

The only good reason I can think of to change air filter is to save money with a stainless steel (Hurricane etc) as you can wash them instead of buying a new one everytime it gets dirty (AD sells them at VERY inflated prices). Alternatively, change the air filter from outside workshop or buy from accessories and parts shops such as in Alexandra Village and change it yourself.
Used to love aftermarket filters but the washing and oiling them is a hassle as the oil needs to dry. Prefer the HKS drop in. Just cut the sponge and throw away the one but now will just stay stock. These air filters make very minimal impact unless your IHE is changed & bigger TB etc etc

The purpose of air filter is filtered as much dirt as possible.
Stainless Steel air filter have big holes for dirt to go into engine. That's why k&n ise oil to helps smaller particles for going in.
Yes, gain is too small for everyday drive.

Hope and Pray that i will not have any regrets after getting car in hand due to vehicle performance. This is just administrative thing, makes me feel bad choosing Mazda. I received my previous Japanese car on the same day of registration. I was told after signing dotted lines for Mazda3 that one week is required for delivering the car after registration. Now this has become 10days. Spoke to some other car authorised dealers this duration is anything between same day to 3 days. If i can get good explanation, i may not be disappointed. I am told that this is required for polishing.

Bro, look at this positively.

1, More time because they have too many cars to delivery
2, Too many cars to deliver because it is now the most wanted car!
3, Take longer time because they wanted to do a better job for checking and not a sub standard job.

Thanks for the positive message EddHooi. Hope will feel better after delivery. Looking forward to it. Nothing personal against anyone or org. would not have felt bad, if i had been given understanding on the delivery process.

If it's any consolation, I waited almost 4 months for my car. It was delayed big time. I think your one week is to give local installers time to install the extras for standard trims.
It's a good car. No need to worry, if you are those kind who get buyers remorse easily then good luck to you! I am sure you will feel down from as little as getting a haircut to buying a condo. Cheer up and look forward to your new ride!

Agree with your thoughts. Thanks for confirming that i have gone for good car.

I waited 3 months and happy to wait 3 more months, if that is necessary. my reason for being upset is Duration taken to deliver the vehicle from the registration date is quite long compared to other car manufacturers. Reason may be for good. but being not aware of the process, disappoints me,

Is everyone get their car delivered one week after registration? Probably, this was discussed earlier, sorry, if i have missed,
I understand how you feel. I also sort of scolded myself after I paid the deposit . Lousy SE and company that represents Mazda that's why. During my collection, the SE told me that the car yet polished and told me to wait...i collected after an hour or two later. Hence i dun think they need so long to polish...
Btw, i suggest u send for a good waxing or diy after collecting.
Maybe because my expectation is high...because it seems there is NO wax at all and the SE say the "wax" can last 6 months. OMG.
How i know is because the way the water beads and flow.

I think the k&n also let dirts getting in.... They really filter off dirts when the filter is "little dirty" where the big holes are blocked...and work best from there (read from somewhere donkey years ago).
;)
Hey. No worries. Good things are worth to wait.Agree with your thoughts. Thanks for confirming that i have gone for good car.

I booked my ride in early nov but will only be getting end this month.
Just treat it as going back to basic bus and mrt. Lol!!
Of course k&n let more dirt go in than stock filter.I think the k&n also let dirts getting in.... They really filter off dirts when the filter is "little dirty" where the big holes are blocked...and work best from there (read from somewhere donkey years ago).

How you expect a horse to run fast and yet give them a mask to wear.

sibei hor!

i nvr get below 7l/100km... and thats when i light foot

I have to agree with all the Mazda 3 owners here. It is a good and beautifully designed car, and is worth the wait. I have even received some compliments from strangers walking pass my car.

If you need assurance that you've bought a good car, look up the youtube reviews on the mazda 3 2014, 2015, 2016. Ignore the fact that most of their reviews are based on the larger capacity cars (2l, 2.5l) suited for their respective countries and the additional safety features (blind spot warning, adaptive radar cruise control) and you'll find that pretty much all the reviews of our cars are very positive - from the good FC to the excellent handling to the overall finish and gadgets of the car.

Cheers and enjoy the ride

Important qns to ask is did you agreewith the 1 week delivery after registration? I did as I wanted to get my car earlier and my SE offered me a deal to register early cos they wanted to clock sales figures before month closes (eg. register 1st even when the carhas not arrived at Ubi yet. It was at the port waiting for transportation to Ubi).So ended up I got my car 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Not sure which car I kapo from other buyers. :x haha

But if your SE said initially 3 days, then later postpone your delivery, then you are entitled to ask for refund on the COE unused for that few days I guess...

ok thks
can't they prep the car before registration? Most dealers will register the car at the last stage after car is prep-ready, cleared your cheque/insurance payment etc. And collection day is a day after registration.

This way, owners don't have to waste 1 or 2 weeks.

Bro i so agree with you. When i collected my ride, the surface is so dry till my finger tip can't slide across due to the driction and dryness. Also the line marks of the protective sticker when the ride was shipped over from Japan can be seen.

Luckily i send to have the ride coated ASAP.

Maybe they use Wash and Wax car wash... Like that can?... Hahaa
