Every time you step on the accelerator or brake, it will disengage the cruise control. To re-engage at the speed before you cancel, you have to accelerate again and press the up/set button like bro dcb had pointed out.

Thanks alot for this important info!!

haha, 7000km in already still same fc..

25% hw usually 30% is very heavy traffic

i guess it explains alot, find myself accelerating around 2.4-2.7k rpm for gears 1-2 then 2.3-2.5 for gears 3/4 then usually smoother out to cruising rpm before have to brake shortly due to city driving....

For those who get better fc... They keep their rpm to below 2k... In short, drive like guniang.

Actually if keep rpm below 2K before the last gear will consume more petrol. The gears will not up shift as fast as normal driving.

Then no choice but try and not drag your gears at the lower speed. It actually consumes more petrol.

Actually, even drive below 2k rpm or "kuniang" like u describe will not get below 7L/100km in mostly city driving. It's actually how much highway u travel lor. I am one of those very much highway but do not keep below 2k rpm but got 6L+/100KM one.

Sien. I will go for the Mz3 2.0L Sports if it's like this. Should have waited a couple of months.

BTW, does anyone know where to buy plasti dip spray? Seen some DIY videos online on plasti dip emblems. Looks quite do-able.

Plasti dip can buy from qoo10. I buy from 1 seller who deliver the next working day. Very fast.
Painting is easy. But masking the area around before painting takes a long time.

So, just wondering, like to plasti dip the front emblem, how much will a shop charge? Like jdm? Agaration price.

I've got this issue too. I didn't release the brakes. When I went to maintenance page, the iEloop page, it shows "NOT READY". And usually one of the three icons isn't highlighted. It's usually the battery icon.

How guys? I am trying to plant a tree here!!

Base on my own experience, He is correct. But AD will always want you to claim your insurance first. So they can start work immediately. But if you do so, and the old guy didn't report, in the end you will be claiming your own insurance. Which means NCD might be affected. My advice is if your car can move, let the old uncle insurance surveyor come down inspect your vehicle agree on the work and liability they gonna pay than you start your repair. If not you will become a cash cow for Both AD and insurance company.

Side note: my colleague car side folding mirror got broken into 2 at carpark. And Lucky he saw the culprit. But the culprit boss did not report to insurance , in the end , 2.5 yrs later the workshop called say cannot claim. Demand him to pay up and issue lawyer letter.

    Hi Ahxiu40,

AD gave me 2 options. Either proceed with own insurance or wait for the surveyor to inspect.

Of course there is no chance i will claim my own insurance.

Immediately after the accident, i hoped you filed the case to your insurer.

If u had done that, and uncle did not, this is what happen:
1, AD will most likely do 3rd party claim. As what mentioned by other bros, this will ensure they can get money back from your insurer.
2, Assuming u have proof u r winning the case, your insurer will file a case to the uncle's insurer. If uncle never report the accident, good luck to him. He will have to pay for the repair.

About point 2, I'm not sure will your insurer get a lawyer to claim from uncle. Else u will have to get your lawyer then. From my experience, if your car is sent to outside workahop to repair, they will engage lawyer to get the money back from uncle, or his insurer.

    Anyway, good luck.

    Hi EddHooi,

Yes I did.. File a report the following day. I believe I have an upper hand in this situation.

Voice record caught him saying "ALL EXPENSES WILL BE BOURNE BY ME".

But I just cant get over the fact he disconnected him phone line. I doubt he file a report to his insurance.

Just to be clear, lets say the 3rd party claim goes through, I am still have to fork out the excess right?

You gotto make your choice clearly. Which will not impact your NCD. You are not going to claiming your own insurance thus have no excess and your AIG will not be involved. After the 3rd party insurance guy check your car, you will be offered the liability for the repair. Maybe 80-20, 90-10 or 100 percent. And you should fight or negotiations with the insurance for 100 percent his fault. If 80-20, means you have to pay 20percent of the total repair. This 20 percent you cannot claim from your insurance company. They might force you to a corner stand firm on their offer and resulting to engage lawyer ( if the workshop or in this case AD dun provide) and you had to pay your own lawyer fee.
Side note; my workshop ballon the price of the repair and cover my 20percent. And claim lost of use for 3 days. Dun know AD do this anot. Maybe you wait for the surveyor to conclude the liability, if 80-20 or better and bill size is too huge to swallow than as your own insurace to come in with the liability in your favor. Wish you all the best.

80-20 or 90-10 (lower is you) your insurance NCD will not be affected . But will result in premium increase. If premium increase can always switch company. It's not always bad to claim your own insurance , the only problem is you cannot control the liability if you claim your own insurance. Both company hump hump negotiations 70-30. Than you lost your NCD.

    1) HB doesn't have the unlock boot button on its remote fob

The reason for the difference is due to the Active Driving Display (ADD) aka HUD. If you have the HUD, your speedo will be in digital format at the bottom right corner of the Tachometer.

Guys, other than design stuff, what are the essential differences between HB and Sedan?

    1) HB doesn't have the unlock boot button on its remote fob

    2) HB has a heavier kerb weight

    3) HB has a higher OMV

    4) HB backseat feels more spacious due to more headroom.

    Overall length?

Sedan 4580 vs HB 4460 mm

so I guess it's longer boot for prams or golf clubs?

    wheelbase is the same though

Mazda 3 standard no HUD, hence speedometer showing speed (km/h)

Mazda 3 deluxe have HUD (showing km/h), hence speedometer showing RPM, with speed at a small corner:)

    Hi

where did you get your boot tray? Is it the type that fit perfectly?

It all boils down to what you want for your ride. For me, i bought the Mazda boot tray, sports pedals and sill plate before the delivery of the ride. After i collected my ride at LK, i went to stick some stickers immediately. Then went to PPS and then more cosmetic mods after that.

    Apparently hatchbacks also get twin-exhaust.

And this is crucial thing of note: the hatchback has lower total cargo volume. The hatchback is also shorter.

Regarding sedan boot organizer, that is probably hard to find because sedan boot organizers are typically generic... just a large pouch/hard-case of some kind with compartments... since sedans aren't like hatchbacks where you can hide them under the toneau cover like seen in the HB one that's being offered

I think the radio antenna for sedan is the normal type, while the HB one is the 'shark' type.

Sedan uses glass type antenna from what I recall.

I have a feeling the autobacs one was defective - I saw one on sale for $30. When I tested it, I realised it wasn't working at all. Good to buy as a spare though. If you alr have one set, you can ask them to let you test the valve caps - cos the monitor was definitely not working.
