What is the proper way to run in?? [:)]Used to understand not to go beyond 80km/h with my first car back in 1997

ehhh i dun really follow that except for not whacking it.. but i already went 90-100 within 1000km mileage.

What manual suggest is rev within 4k rpm for first 2000km..

Wad im wondering is manual suggest Ron91 is sufficient meaning K3 can take 92 petrol, C&C suggest 95.

Just drive normally will do,just don't rev until redline will do,4000rpm limit can reach at least 160km/h in top gear..[2250 /h'>rpm/h in 6th gear].

    I used only 98 petrol,Caltex Platinum....comfirmed engine used 10 years very little carbon built-up.

    lol

I been using 92 on my previous ride no issue since minimum was stated as 91.

I probably use 95 for now. Not worried abt carbon build up cos whack to genting few times a year [drivingcar]

Sorry for silly question, but in case of snow white exterior and black/white interior, may I know whether is it difficult to maintain?

How often we need to wash the car?

should be able to get from accessories shops.. i saw 1 fb group page selling such accessories for Forte.

How often we need to wash the car?

Depends on usage, weather, location and everything lol

For me, my usual practice is to wash and apply a layer of wax at least once a week. Detail the interior once every 2 weeks.

    White exterior, black interior here.

My previous ride was black and I had to go Changi and Tuas Naval base often, either sand blasted or full of mud so I could wash up to 2 - 3 times a week.

Depend where you park too. If open air carpark, you tend to have a lot of tree 'juice', leaves, birdshit etc. I have to do some basic wiping with cloth daily if I fussy, but if close1 eye, won't die. However, by 2nd week if never wash car, it will be quite noticeable. Most of the time I wash car weekly myself.

White interior is more problematic, sometimes even jeans can come out color on the white leather, then it is gg-ed..

I wanted white interior a lot but my wife stopped me. I am glad she did though. Maintaining the exterior is tiring enough.

If you have MSCP, maybe exterior will be easier to maintain.

    Hi Guys,

I am interested to purchase the K3 after sourcing around for a while. Anything in particular that I should check, ask from, nego with the agent before I sign on the dotted line?

Also, I tried joing the ceratofortekoup.sg forum but it mentioned that an administrator have to approve instead of just an email verification. How long do I need to wait for approval?

    Thanks!

Guys, I am driving around 780km but fuel consumption is only 10.1L/100km indicated on the panel.

Is this consider bad as KIA claim that FC is about 6~7L/100km right?

Will FC improves after the run-in period?

ok, I will try to increase type pressure to 250 and see how.

Maybe I am too careful for the driving (RPM seldom exceed 2K), so end up decreasing FC.

Anyway, I will be gg for my 1000k servicing tmr.

Anything that I should take note?

Since we have $1000 credit, do we still need to pay anything?

You trystep on acceleratorgraduallyeven ifRPM exceed 2000. Don't try and maintain at 2000.

This means let the machine perform at its behaviour rather than you force the machine to adapt your driving style. This might causes lost in FC.

super light foot already lol.. not a first timer driving tot this model can nv hit 11... featherlite foot fc always in 9 to 10.

too light on right leg is never the ideal way, you should step on the gas hard enough to bring up to reasonable speed quick, then cruise at high gear/high speed, not slowly drag the car with low gear......

I just wanna ask, how many of the K3 owners here sign up for the service package offered by C&C?

I have used their package for years and although they are expensive, they provided good service and offers. However, I think outside they offer really cheaper normal servicing and was wonder should I just let the outside garages do the normal servicing (by purchasing my own EO).

I going to sign up their package...don't really trust those service outside, i leave my car with them they change out the original parts and replace with chiong parts how? I rather play safe pay a little bit more go for C&C...

Also another K3 bro, got his rims scratched accidentally by C&C service center, eventually they r going to change a new rim for him...I bet outside scratch or damange any stuff they sure act blur...hard to claim from them d damages also...outside usually dun honour such integrity...

Some bros may say I'm thinking too much, C&C also can be very smelly at times leh, but it's personal preference and you should opt for the one you feel most comfortable and most convenience...i past by Leng Kee quite often so more convenient for me to do servicing there...

Btw, Banz Bro, not sure if you are in this forum... but we have more discussion there...

Wah, didn't know of the forum.. Have registered there..

But agree, have been servicing there for 5 years and I know can trust them by leaving my car without worries. Though they are really much more exp, but I know leaving it there surely no issues. That's the reason why still contemplating on moving out or continue my servicing there.
