    97999 EX.

I got it on my first bid

    EX better go for guarantee.
They will definitely give priority to SX non-guarantee customer.

    Wah, congrats there..
EX guaranteed price is $99,999, right? Or you bought before they up the price.. If so, it is equivalent to $2k disc.. Not a bad deal..
  • 19 October 2015 - 07:41 PM
    Sgbikee80

When I bought it, it was:

    • $94,999 advertised price
    • COE was at ~$57000
    • Signed at $93,999
    • COE rebate was $50,000
    • So definitely not the $55,399 COE
    • Feel like I got the short end of the stick.
Once again, can anyway who have secured their K3 EX share their COE Rebate level and purchase price?

Mine 50k coe rebate, buy at 95k, got coe at 2nd bidding

I'm not too sure about the sealant issue, but if they caused your bodykit to crack then that's something to point out to them. Did you do it on the spot? Else now they can say you knocked it yourself and caused the crack...

I sent photos to C&C and they ask me to drive back and let them have it for 2 to 3 days. I have touched up the damage and can live with it as I repaired it almost perfect and cannot see. But friend told me to send back. As I paid so much and how I can accept for a little damage. In fact he is more niao than me until wanted to sue C&C.

Scared if I return to them then it become worse than before.

During the midst of repair, they shall loan me a car so I think I am fine with it.

Think I also unlucky on the other hand. The other day, I wanted to link my car camera to my fuse box. In the end, short circuit my unit which is almost 1 to 2 yrs. At least they are willing to compensate me for my old one and upgraded to new one with 2 channel with wifi. Of course top up some $$ as my old one is cheap china one.

Mine 50k coe rebate, buy at 95k, got coe at 2nd bidding

Speak of rebate. Essentially you can never get it back. Cause COE shall never drop with the news of quota dropping.

if you're looking to play music (MP3), then use another usb & acard reader and insert into the USB port below lo... that port cant be used to power any device, so I used it to play music only... anyone here knows if the eurostyle HU can play MP4 or MKV movies via this USB port too?

Hi, Just to check what is the average FC of Kia K3 ?

    Thanks.

about 7-8L per 100KM for me after "running in" the engine. this is after about 5000 km.

    Dear bro and sis,

Need the pro advice by you all.

I paid for a K3 (basic) almost 4 COE bids ago. COE then was roughly 57k.

I thought I got a decent deal but the COE bid keep failing.

Worse so now, since Cat A is only roughly 55k.

Why did the agent bid so low?

The agent told me that they were bidding at about 50-52k.

Didn't I buy the car with COE at around 57k? Are they screwing me over?

Or am I too noob to this car buying thing?

Errr....erm, the COE now also 57k mah. Even if 55k, 2k difference is pretty nothing? As for them bidding 50 to 52k, well they did not commit how much they will bid and if yours is not guaranteed and they fail to secure your COE then you will get refund. K3 under C&C, where will screw u?? They don't get your profit until they manage to secure your car. No car = no sale = no profit.

As a new car buyer, this is absolutely confusing to me.

Why sell me something and push me to top up $3k non stop to "secure" it?

Why sell something that you can never actually get?

I think what is more vexing is that other bro/sis did get the car at the same deal as me.

    Why was I singled out?

So i guess you did not top up the $3k to "secure" it? Do you actually know what the other buyers did? Maybe they topped up leh? There is nothing confusing - different people got different "urgency" level. So those more urgent and die die must get (or believe COE will increase) will pay for the top up. Those who are more "get or don't get also can" will not top up. It's giving buyers a choice.

I am sure they didn't single you out - you sound like jose mourinho (joke only, no offence). Wait awhile and see lah.....if you were so determined to get the car, then maybe you should have topped up in the first place. I mean when you decided not to top up, you also know the implications right? I mean, if don't top up also guaranteed can secure then who will want to top up, correct?

Do you need a car urgently? Non guarantee package usually for ppl who dont need the car fast and can play waiting games with the coe.

up front i told the se no top for for me.If c&c dont secure the coe within 6 bids, too bad u dont earn my $$, i dont take ya car. Dont show to SE you in need of car urgently. Play along if you got time and squueze more freebies

some bros here are owner as of 2013.. they may be a better position to advise..
opc is standard $17k rebate from LTA. hence, it shd not affect profit margin of AD.
i got zero freebies as i paid for the 3-2-1 promo where all those i gotten are in, no eurostyle, no floormat, no reverse cam..
find those SE recommended here, Alvin Tham, Sam Ang or Wai Ho, all from Alexandra Showroom and you wont end up like me.. :)

Yo those who are interested can look for Wai Ho at Leng Kee also. Very nice and patient SE. Tried his best to accommodate to all my requests.

I initially choose pps and eurostyle as part of the deal to sign with him. After few days decided that i wanted the DVR too and texted him. He obliged without any hesitation. Also i changed colour from White to Black and to Silver and he was kind enough to accede to my requests too. Yeap after sales service was great as well. Helped me book for a service slot at C&C LK when i texted him. Nice chap!

Those interested can let me know so I can PM u his no. :)

I received my k3 yesterday. Not bad at all but rem to check your car when received. My front cam was not able to on and after the tech checked they say it's the circuit board fuse blown. I also realise later that there is water stain under the headlamp. If I didnt observe it I will not be able to see it. Most likely will observe for a while and feedback during the 1k servicing.

Oh yours as well. My headlamps also got water stain in fact both headlights and bringing to C&C to rectify. They wanted to polish but I said no as it also polish off the original UV coating which can cause a lot of problems such as yellowing quickly. Furthermore I done glass coating on my lamps as well.

Just a some q for fellow owners of the K3.

So far, the FC anybody can get anywhere close to 14.7km/l as claimed? I max can get around 11.9km/l. 50% highway and 50% urban. Mostly 10.9km/l even after first servicing.

Also when u just switch on the air con after starting your car. Does the car vibrate a bit and make bit of noise? Air con is cold but find it odd that it make some noise.

So you'll live with the water stain? Where is the stain? Inside or outside the headlamp cover?

Mine is 8.2L/100KM or 12.19KM/L, city driving 40%, AYE 60%.

Aircon on will hv a bit of engine HP loss & shudder, as the engine also need to drive the aircon compressor... nothing out of the ordinary.

Stain is most likely on the inside as I do not feel any rough feel touching along the surface of the headlights.

Tomorrow I am driving in to C&C and if proven is manufacturer defects, they will replace a pair. But if it is due to the glass coating applicator then they will pay for the damages. Expected if I have to leave my car for 2 to 3 days partly they damage my bodykit with minor stress cracks and need to rectify as well. Though I do not mind as I have touched up myself already but seek warranty and free servicing reinbursement as they fixed up with silicon and worried will damage the original coating if taken out to change bodykit. Also troublesome to recoat the glass coating for new kit though C&C shall pay the cost.

I ask for a courtesy loan car and was given during the repair.

Hmm. My bro's new Jazz 1.5 also fall short of manufacturer claim of 17km/l but achieve 15km/l.

Sounds like generator sound when start air con. Funny.

You have to deduct a bit to get the real world FC in SG. These FC figures were calculated based on other countries, where traffic and road conditions are different. As you know in SG highways also get congested during peak hours and you may be travelling at 50-60km/h only.

Do note that it voids the warranty if they see this device on the engine when you do servicing.

I once void a car with the broquet in the engine but give chance if he takes it out.

Went to C&C to rectify and they agreed to replace both headlights and free Zertona coating after replacement along with my replacement grille.

Partly maybe I am an ex C&C staff and I direct deal with the manager instead rather than the SA.

Of course, to the SE, there's difficult customers among easy going ones...

Maybe my SE regards me as difficult who didn't insist on having those freebies...

Having that said, each to his/her own..

Few bro here strongly recommended a few SE such asAlvin Tham, Sam Ang or Wai Ho.. :)

Hi Bro, happen to browse through here. We offer lifetime warranty not because we will close and change company. Products has been tested by SGS on durability, chemical, hardness, thickness, salt, Toxic too. Not only that, Ceramic PRO has been awarded "Asia Best Brand Award" - AEEF. We got REACH compliance too.
FYI, We started by George single handed as a mobile polisher since 2009. And till date, His 2nd fully air conditioned outlet will be up and running next month. We are growing as years goers by. [;)]

You are right bro... even return back to me... dunno what to do with it also... :P

But after 1 year use of Eurostyle... give me intermittent problem..

    1) After switch to reverse camera (R gear), Eurostyle refused to switch back to normal mode

    2) No sound

    3) Touch screen no response

    4) System sometimes lag..

    5) GPS software failed to load or hang while in use (not to mention map currently is not updated, update need to pay.. $100. A)? Already three new location not in current maps data...

Well, all the problems above can be resolve by not sending back to C&C.... by totally switch of the car.. and wait for a while... Not to much a problem for me..

    Not the best HU IMHO...

Bro, you can return the set to be serviced by the third party installer.... This Eurostyle HU actually has more capability that was installed when we got the car.. e.g. it has 5.1ch capability etc... if you take out the HU, you can see the capability listed on the sticker on the inside of the set as well as look at the port descriptions behind.. think you just need to get the correct cables for the ports behind and get your outside installer to set it up for you... I tried to buy the other cables online but cannot find the OEM mfr of this set to get them from.. maybe some kind bros here may have the lobang and hope can share with us....

How come the coating cannot resist stone chips

I think nothing in the world can stop rock chip. Mine done with Ceramic pro and still have rock chip in my first week of ownership but the damage is somewhat different from my previous car whereby you can see the primer or bare material. It somewhat resist the impact and causes damages on the coating as I cannot really see the damage from normal viewing distance of 1m unless purposely looking for it.

Depressed for a while but gotten over it and touch up if necessary. I heard those clear bra thing for cars but that one also cannot resist damages from rock chip even though it claims protection. Seemly nothing can stop rock chip damages.

I think, just keep it cool and don't over-rev, keep it below maybe 4,000RPM, should be safe. 3,500RPM if you are concerned.

Top speed should be fine, stay below 120, I reckon. See what your manual say, I think the owners here should be able to better advise you

I can recommend this relatively unknown brand called PLK Optian, if you are willing to pay the high price (~$800). It is worth it as it has a wide variety of driving assistance features such as lane departure warning, collision warning and moving-off alert, that all work. Useful as an extra safety alert.

Video quality is also reasonably good (front 1080p-30fps, quality on par with BlackVue) although the rear camera is only VGA. It has all the usual things you expect of a in-car cam like impact event recording, parking mode (with in-built voltage cut off), microphone, and automatic overwrite. So far I haven't encounter overheating issue with this cam as well. Additionally it also records GPS location and G-force.

If you don't value the driving assistance features though, then cheaper cams like BlackVue or maybe SafeVue also can.

Thanks but over my budget ~$400. I will look around.

i do compare Thinkware and IRoad last year and i almost bought Thinkware.

but in the end, i go for IRoad cos of the price factor.

Difference is about $200 and the only main difference then i feel is the rear cam which, V7, is not FHD. whereas for ThinkWare, both front and rear are FHD.

then read reviews here and there, seems like both have similar cons...but more reviews on ThinkWare overheating then IRoad.

Hence, taking in the price difference factor, in the end go for IRoad.

Driving to KL not recommended for a new car. If you read the manual, you are advised to vary engine rpm during the first 1000 km break in period, and not to race the engine. Driving long distances on the highway doesn't allow you to vary your engine rpm as it will most likely be at around 2k when cruising.

I got the Iroad V7 which is essentially a 2 channel system. Actually I intend to link my existing old Marbella to my fuse box but the workshop short circuit it and compensate me with another one. So I go for this one. So far so good and with wifi too. Price retails about $300+ without installation but they also charge me half price for labor.

Yup depends on the person, for me I would follow the instructions in the car manual, else no reason for the manufacturer to put inside. I ignored the SE's advice, which was to keep it below 2k rpm. Owner manual said to try for between 2-4k with varying rpm.
