I bet you wouldn't believe it...just pump my petrol last night...distance travelled from last full tank = 659km, petrol pump = 40.52L..that work out to be 16.26km per litre or 6.15L per 100km...with abt 80% highway driving. This is by far my best FC among the six full tank pump..average of 6 full tank pump works out to 14.13km per litre..

    Congrats..

I think the record was 744km per tank clocked by another bro here.....

Need to be patient with the website... tends to lag during the intense bidding period from 2-4 pm. Especially the last 15 min.

Just look at the windscreen properly if there is any tiny bubbles.

The fc will get worst as time goes by. I ever hit 6.8L/100km during run in. But now only 8.6L/100km.

There is no silent and grippy tyres. Grippy always comes with noise. But better grippy tyres have less noise. Can try Goodyear F1 A2 or Conti Sport Contact 5.

Your fuel consumption gets worse after run-in cos you tend to push the car harder lar... same for me... learning to rein in my right foot and get better fuel consumption.

Booked a slot with Ace gt. Ceremic pro 9h
Anybody else has this issue? The nexan tyres can cause mini vibrations ah

Okay, cool. Keep us posted. :)

I notice the RPM is higher on K3 compare to Vezel when driving, on cruising around 80KM/H K3 is around 2 while Vezel is 1.3 and when I pick up speed/changing gear its hitting 3 while Vezel is at most 2/2.5. This should account for the higher FC? If we adjust the idling RPM will it impact the drive/power?

My Rikecool bubbled after 1 week, went back, they 'fixed' for me....hopefully it wont happen again. Attitude wise they r ok but I guess some bros r rite here on choosing other options for solar film

    It's the gearbox. Cvt

It's the gearing ratios. To save fuel, the top gear ratio can be geared higher (in this case 6th gear). This means that at cruising speeds, the RPM is lower and fuel is saved. But it also means that the gear ratios between the 1st to 6th would be quite widely spaced out. And that would mean that pick up is poor. The total or final gearing ratios are a function of engine power, and the manufacturers can only play around with the spacing between gears, and so with only 129 bhp on tap for the Vezel, you can't expect tall fuel saving gearing on 6th gear and good pick up through the first five gears. Some manufacturers try to 'cheat' by spacing out the gearing differently by gearing the first two or three gears closer for better pick up but it usually results in a flat spot for 4th and 5th gears. Which means that when you need to overtake a cruising speeds, you find that the car is rather unresponsive and the RPM climbs sky high yet the car isn't really accelerating much.

Basically for all 1.6 L cars, the engine power is limited to 130 bhp now, all of them will drive similarly... how fast you can pick up depends on the gearing ratios and how prepared you are to step on it. If you check out the gearing ratios for a set of Japanese and Korean and Continental 1.6 L engines, they're all within a certain ballpark.... can't run away from the physics.

Eurostyle, solar film and thinkware dash cam. My SE wanted to give me PPS also but eventually can't cos I did overtrade. Something about the company has to pay extra for overtrade or something so can't give me the PPS.

The 1.6l cars I drove previously also rpm 2-2500 at 80kmh.. so k3 abt there.. bezel 1300rpm at 80kmh? Seems very low..I would presume bigger capacity cars only rev lower at this rpm/speed bec their engine capacity is bigger.. rpm when revving will be high, depends on your footing.. Mine abt 2.5k before auto trans change gears.. I wouldn't take too much notice of the rpm or fuel consumption, just enjoy the ride...

I would think so too, mine is also around there. 1300 sounds quite low for a 1.5L Vezel... anyway FC wise should not be a big difference.

Am not too sure yet, but I have a habit of not washing my car regularly (for the current one) so I figured doing coating will be good to maintain the paintwork and prevent it from becoming dull looking. Did you do coating for your car?

I did CS-2 and "touch up" is not necessary. Just normal washing will do. Done CS2 for 2 weeks now , so far so good. Excellent hydrophobic and gloss and car does not gets dirty easily. Only washed once in 2 weeks. After rain there's no water marks and dirt.

If have budget, go for ceramic pro 9h. Mine was on it since 2014 and still looks as great as day 1. Many has been giving good comments and has shared on how the product has helped owners. Most importantly, they are not pushy to sell any packages.

Just chanced upon a interesting post and share here.

    1300 RPM for a 1.5 L non-turbo engine sounds wrong... doesn't have enough torque.

Yup! Mine. My SE told me head unit not in stocks. Can collect first then fix the head unit when I do my first servicing, but I asked when will the stocks arrive, he said end of the month. So likely I will collect the car first then when the HU is in at the end of the month, I will send back to fix.

About the stocks, my SE told me that the colour I want is the last unit left. Not sure if they still have plenty more stocks of the other colours.

More hdb surely will make a difference. also the way you drive as you get more and more used to the characteristics of the car also makes a difference.

after 1 year +, my driving style and confidence with this car is getting faster and faster, and yes the FC goes down to about 10/100km too. However when i take note to drive for better FC, i can go back the 7-8km / 100km i used to get.

Yeah agree... you tend to push the car harder as you get more familiar... not so heartache to push the car. And your fuel consumption will just slide... ha ha... my experience... before my 1K servicing, I could get 11+ km/L for my Sonata... after that it was never better than 10.8 km/L, in fact usually 10.4. So I moderated my driving style and it's back to 11-12 km/L.

After PPS, dirt tends to stick less and car not so dirty. Only washed once a week at CS-2 for $15. Lazy to wash myself. But if self wash will be quite easy though due to its hydrophobic. I was told that PPS cannot come to contact with wax. It will deteriorate the coating. So no need to wax. The shine always come back after wash.

If wax can deteriorate the coating, then the coating is not of good quality. Mad detailer, the resident detailing guru, will agree with this

Best to go after 5pm. For me once I went at 3:30pm Long queue.

It's not necessary to wax a PPS. It's 2 different things. PPS bonds to the paint surface but wax only lays on top without bonding. If u want to wax your car then not suitable to do PPS.

I only used car shampoo and micro fibre cloth to rub. And it came off. After that I don't allow pump attendant to pump for me as they always drip onto my paintwork.

    Passive setup bro

I didnt want to change the head unit as cannot fully utilise the steering controls.

    Rockford P1 sub

    Mosconi AS100.4 4 channel amp

Micro Precision 3 series 2 way

Rear speakers I just change a normal one cant remember the brand.

Was considering to add a processor but I think I just save the $$. The only main difference now is i cant my sub comes from the rear instead of the front so it doesnt sound good to me.

try using polish or other cleanser.

After pump next thing can use those water on the side of the pump to wash the area b4 driving off.

if u stay near north west area, i can lend u to try if can remove so u dun have to buy one cos u dun use it often. My bottle used for years.

Correct bro. Now my bass comes from the rear. Front seems like no bass. I'm considering Mosconi DSP which cost $780.

yea, my prev ride i change the HU and was able to get the sub to come from front. now it comes from rear lol. But for that sake to get a processor, i think not worth the $$ and my ears not so sensitive for SQ :P

Together with the HU and steering control module I spent 4k+ for the equipments on my prev ride, 150 to dekit and 280 to install back on this ride so not intending to upgrade any further for now :P

if u r using stock HU, there will be difference. Was told our HU do not support the cabling so they use hi-low converter unlike after market HU.

On top of this, if we run passive using the twitter at stock position, the sound are all deflected at the windscreen. With processor u can better "tune". If u wan better, u can change ur HU as it's the source.

Just installed Helix DSP with Director controller. After tuning by my audio shop, the SQ is superb! Different instruments clearly differentiated. Punchy and tight bass at the front. Sound stage at the centre dash. Good processor, no regrets. Totally one sky and one ground.

Stock honk is way too soft. Not that I like to honk but for safety reasons, you need a louder honk most of the time.

I also upgraded my previous Forte to Hella. Thinking of upgrading my current ride also.

I changed my stock horn to Borsch EC-6, after I search/compared a few horns & models. I always throw out stock horn - no damn good - compromise my safety and safety of fellow road users. Recommend this horn to you. Loud enough. No overkill. And low price. I saw avail AutoBacs S$50.00cts. For everybody's safety , this money you cannot don't spend

    Helix DSP $950
    DIRECTOR (remote commander) $580
    Remote holder $30
A pair of dunno what RCA cables for better SQ $380
    Total : $1940.

It's tuned centered at driver, (time alignment). I mean that the singer is like in front of me instead of inside the speakers.

Sharing my first full tank FC, calculated from distance travelled and top up in fuel:

    km/l = 13.7

    l/km = 7.3 (7.5 shown in car)

My Borsch EC 6 I've used, delightfully, > one decade. Two tone hone. So two pcs. Easy: 1) Lift bonnet 2) Remove black plastic shroud between grill & radiator. 3) Put hand in & remove stock horn. 4) attach connectors & 1 more pc extension wire. 4) attach mount new horns

Can easy diy. But u got no tools, no short pc wire, no connectors. Any shop can do easy job. Not cost much.

What brand u buy u biz. But helpful hint: many dead drivers on the road cannot see cannot hear - use 2-tone horn is good for tone deaf zombies. But fair to everyone - just loud enough without jarring everyone else

Not very useful to compare with different people unless you roughly know their driving profile. Someone who drives highway a lot will get much better FC than someone who drives in urban, even if you are heavy foot on the highway vs light foot in urban.
