:relief: OMG just received SMS from my SE..My bid was successful.

Getting Car in end Feb or early March.... :a-happy:

Now going to spend my time looking for a Solar film and Paint protector.

:huh:never knew the car, didn't come automatically with such amenities..lol

Huh? Isn't the solar film part of the freebies? Why need paint protector? Effective meh? Must keep renewing the add-on layer is it?

    Thanks bro... [sunny]

MineI decided on the Euro style and front cam that's why no PP and Solar film. :XD:

Not sure about bright cool but my friends and colleagues said either Vcool or 3M.

I decided last min to get PP as the weather is going to be very hot next 5 years and I'm living in anHDB estate with only open carpark.

With plenty of trees with 'flying bombers' so need pretty good protection. :pissed-off:it's an investment, will be going for CS-II ceramic

and over the long years I had the dubious honour of having, cigarette butts, tissue paper, orange peels, banana peels, 2 dents on my roof, assorted liquids and a rare protection drop also.

Not too mention my beloved cat that loves to sleep on my present car. :lll._.:

So that's why going for PP [:p]

    teomingern

Hahaha... the Eurostyle is $2000? hahahah....

Its a China set and not even worth the Pioneer Hus... $2000? hahahaha....

might as well change to a top of the line Pioneer Hu and still got pocket change... [laugh] .. plus enuf for solar film too...

That depends on whether the Pioneer unit can be connected to the steering wheel. Also Pioneer head units have rather poor interface...

    1) Their in house Solar film was $600 to $800 (can't really remember), Euro style was listed at $2000, pick this upgrade as it came with the reverse camera. [inlove] and GPS

    2) only the Thinkware 300 model was available.

    3) List price for euro style (I think just a style name),was $2000, Front cam was $300.

Btw these additional items were in the pricelist a few months back, I tried checking the website, its now not available.

Probably have to ask directly with the SE what freebies available.

    Hmm..

    1) if Euuro style HU is $2000, then of course i will choose Euro Style over the solar film too. Whats the Eurostyle model? is it touch screen? I google it see the review..lol

    2) Only thinkware 300? this camera no rear camera, can pay abit to upgrade to 500X ?

    1) I think u can bargain for both.. solar film quite standard for freebies...

    2) I dun think there is any upgrade option based on what my SE said.

    To: ahbear82

yes its touch screen there is a demo model of the Eurostyle, near the door to Mitsubishi showroom. Big touch screen but couldn't rememberthe brand. It comes with reverse camera so thinkware 300 enough, in fact its the only model Kia offers.lol

Also I think now they took away the price list for various 'add on'.

Have to check with your friendly SE.

Hee hee going to ask around, during CNY,my nephew, nieces and colleagueson what they added to their cars.

Everyone have a Great, Happy and prosperous Lunar new year. [laugh]

Hi, when I got my k3 on 20 jan, got the following add on FOC:

    1) solar film
    2) eurostyle touchscreen with reverse camera
    3) laser shade
    4) thinkware camera

Eurostyle sound system looks cool but sound system is average. Good enough if you just want to play cd, radio n mp3 but not a highbass blasting effect. You may need to add ampliflier n good speakers.

The laser shade n sun film are great.

For sharing on my own experience.

    Thanks.

Just pumped my second tank since taking over the car. Averaging 11.5km/L. Was using octane 98 for first tank and now trying octane 95. Observed slight difference in terms of power and pick up. 98's pick up is slightly faster but 95, the move on power is quite e same as 98. But, the gear changing for 95 is faster than 98. Just my initial experience for sharing, pl.

I'm using SPC. For the laser shade, it's the type that 'stick' to the frame of the window. It's customised to k3 as there's k3 sign embossed on the shade. How do I attach the picture here? Alternatively, you can google for car laser shade to have a look. It's good as it fits nicely on the Windows and cut off heat and UV ray from getting into your car.

Service center will advise whether tyre rotation is required.

I requested for tyre rotation (as the recommended was somewhere 10,000 - 15,000 km) and was advised rotation was not necessary yet during collection.

Get eurostyle..compatible with your Bluetooth steering control if u get sx model. Get Thinkware Dashcam. .if u do outside cnc may not honor warranty if sth go wrong with the electrical components... go for Customized sunshade.. exclusive to k3.. car mat n sola film is standard freebies..
Mixed review.. heard can hit 14kml while some reported 10kml. ..

Got even lower at 8.6km/l the last fill up whereby I drive mostly slow and RPM lower than 2k rpm.. Not sure if driving slow has adverse effect...

Most stuck city driving. 50% highway. Another concerns is the lengthy traffic jams which at times lasts the last fill up is 30 to 40 mins.

But expressway drving does improve a lot though.

Anyway anyone notice when switching on the air con tends to make some sort of noise and tend to vibrate, Is it a common sight?

Driving too slowly will become higher FC and lower gears drink more fuel. Quickly accelerate till around 80 km/h and maintain around that speed would improve FC. I observe K3 most fuel economy at speed 80-90 km/h.

FC is worst during traffic jam.

    1) small roads, shorter route (more traffic light stops)
    Vs
    2) expressway, longer route (no traffic lights and smooth journey)

Both can reach my destination, I usually would take longer route on expressway, you can see a big improvement in FC.

For me PP is very good though not totally invincible but actually avoid a lot compared without. My car is still feeling smooth usually industrial area feels rough after a while but not this one.

No scratches observed or wash scratches at all. I wash my ride usually after the rain or perhaps every 3 days or so. But no scratches despite the frequent wash.

Rock chip is greatly reduced too and even if have not at all visible as it damage the glass surface not the paint so cannot see. But again rock chips are like bullets as you travel faster. So nothing can stop it.

Definitely agree that PPS is not fool-proof on flying stone chips, totally eliminate Tree sap stains, nor can the protection last forever.

BUT damages are minimised.. bird shit stains (left to baked)/ tree stains can removed by claying.. Easy washing for ultimate LAZY pple like me...

PPS done by 1 of the groomers.. Protection still staying after 9months... very minimal washing...at most once 1 month by own washing (most of the time wash by rain).

I see that your car has the front emblem removed for the K logo. I have the badges but tried but seems to be hard to remove maybe due to the hole fittings securing the badge to body? Treid half way but gave up as do not want to damage my car,

FYI. Mine claims to last the lifetime of the car with warranty.

Best to bring to a workshop to change the logos for u. Working with a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive first will do the trick. Followed by adhesive cleaner like goo-gone to further soften the foam tape.

I got my pair from Ebay Korean Seller at $34 last time

IMO, would say quality is consider top notch, Carbon print also feels more defined, and "3D". Chrome part does not leave any stains even after rain shower.

Debadge was done at Hans Revolution Workshop for a mere $10.

Hi all, i been reading up on getting my next ride. K3 is one of the shortlisted choice. Any bro took up C&C in-house finance pkg?

I would like to find out more before deciding on the next course of action?

    Thanks in advance.

I just bought a set of front and rear emblem that does not requires to remove the existing badges and just overlap it. So anytime can revert. Carbon backing too.. So I intend to let go of my unused K badge with red gloss backing. Anyone keen?

That's cool. What tape does it use to stick? 3M? Any gap between the skin badge and the emblem? Only concern is whether it will drop off..

The good logos use 3m.adhesive. and it is very strong. No worries about the logo dropping off.

i had my alternate logos on for a few mths already and they are still nice n tight

Yeah its Loden. Made in the US. 3M stick not so easy to fall off..

At least the original badge is still there. Seen other cars taken out badge but risk of paint damage at the corner due to force caused by tools.

    Halo,

Cat A just dropped. Intend to book a K3 this week once the new price is out. Current ride will expire in first week Jun 2016.

Do most people pay for the premium or standard package? I intend to book the standard package, but afraid may be asked to top up later. Anyone with experience having to top up for a KIA?

    Thanks.

Frm what I understand from my SE, most get platinium package coz standard package terms quite hard to secure COE and CnC not very willing to top up bid for u coz of lower profit margin...

This is especially obvious if u get EX model Standard package....the most basic of all...

I am eyeing SX standard package.

If I book now, I can wait for 6 bids before my current ride expires. My wife is unwilling to spend the extra $3k for platinum, and we want to try our luck and see if Cat A drops further. We don't need the new car urgently, but don't want a gap between the old and new car.

When will the SE likely ask us to top up? After 4 failed bids? If we eventually top up, how much will they ask for and do we get the same platinum package with 1-year servicing? If the top up costs higher than paying platinum upfront, then it will not be worth it and we want to avoid this situation... So, want to know the experience of people who book standard package.

    Not entirely true...
We just got ours via standard package SX. Rebate 38K
    2 rounds of bidding
    First round bidder $39999
    Second round $43999

I'd get the platinum package though coz u u can squeeze euro head unit, and more freebies. Esp of you're taking a loan.
