Besides the functions that your SE will go through with you..check paintwork thoroughly.. I found some swirl marks near my rear emblems and some paint residual at bottom of my door. Send car back for spray touchup took 2 days to rectify. Get your SE to write a defect form for all things to be done by 1k servicing.

b) Finding the screen too bright, especially at night. Can we set the screen off timeout (like handphone)? I can only find the brightness control setting. Also realise that, even after setting the brightness to lowest, it will always revert to default setting, after engine restart...

for b), what i did was to switch to a darker and more muted theme for eurostyle. now it is v comfortable to view at night.

Anyway, I am also not so impress with eurostyle. Playing song from my usb it does not allow sort via folder ... and now you say that brightness setting will reset ... OMG... haha

The thinkware H50 is worse ... my current $40 one works much better than it. No screen for settings(even date/time!), record in proprietary format and need sw to convert to avi.�

Just made balance payment today. SE told me that collection will be 2 weeks as they have to install the the add-ons and registration. Which i think he is just trying to be safe to tell a longer time frame. Hopefully to collect it next week.

Putting in P mode ensures vehicle in not in motion. Allowing system to play DVD in other modes will challenge this guideline...that explains the settings on Eurostyle or any other OE HU systems.

honestly im not a sound quality kind of guy so to me its good enough. just maxed the base only. as for eurostyle... so far seems to be a good investment. just that ive yet to figure out some functions.

They're called rubber grommets... they plug the holes created on your plastics and metals that are used to secure the interior fittings onto the car frame or door frame.

Recently sent for respray of my door, workmanship is good but lame mistakes.�

They never remove my door edge protector and spray on leaving one side thicker over the other. Rectified by sanding down. But noted that the edges loses some pearls as a result. Let them go now noted that my chrome accent has been scratched and swirl marks and damage my bodykit coating. Now going third time to replace the chrome accent. Wasting my time.

The last let them go a lot of times when fixing my bodykit resulting my bumper edges paint peel at 3 corners.�

Seemly a reputable workshop is not really first class.. :(

Hmm sorry bro from what I heard from my car HiFi shop, eurostyle don't have the power to drive a passive sub woofer, so I'm getting a small active/powered subwoofer to be installed under my seat.

For budget purposes I did an amp for my 6 speakers but opted for an under seat sub woofer just for a little added thump, not the mind blowing 12" or 15" sub that will have to be installed in your trunk. That also required a separate amp.

I'm very very happy with my new speakers, just itching to bring a little more bass to my listening pleasure.

How come need to respray when your car relatively new?

Any SLA 5800-6000 plus k3 owners do not have sport rims installed.
Heard from salemans there was an out of stock issue. but now need go back lengkee to install on weekday when my service centre is ubi and i booked on a saturday. Pending saleman reply if can bring over to ubi.

Changing to hella or those bm sound horn,. Do we need to remove front bumper? Or how is it installed by the shops

Started to get better now as i would always try to get on the expressway asap unless the destination i'm going to, can only be reach by small road.

For (a), for the video to work, need to put Parking (P) mode, as well as pull the handbrake. If I release the handbrake, the video will disappear immediately, only music from the video is present.

b) I have 1 default theme (blue?) to select only. Can share how do you install new theme? The backlight setting is always reset to default at some point of time, even though I set to lowest brightness.

New question.... Even though my car boot is opened, I can still lock my car (using key or keyless mode). Is that so?? What if I have important stuff in my car boot (laptop, etc)....

Dear all, not saying that the K3 has many problems but their after sales services is bugging me when damages is caused by their guys and sharing my bad experience over their quality of works but the service is overall pleasing and offer me a number of assistance. Now I dun deal with the SA now the manager comes and serves me partly maybe ex C&C staff. Service good but bad lame workmanship.

My colleague's car more worse than me. Same period take new car but respray the roof, 3 doors. Roof is the paint quality being bad and 3 doors is the wife damaged it when parking. Brand new car cannot accept any repair job not 100% same as me. :)

Not possible bro. My colleague's car is repaired 1 mth + back and now looks new after they resprayed and redone PPS. Mine is repaired temporary with touch up paint and concealed the paint peel by myself after the pressure washing removed my temporary fix. Unless prove by our service records from the agent? Ha.�

My system is a Rainbow beat-4 power amp and 2 sets of boston acoustics SL60 (possibly discontinued) replacement maybe the SR60

But the speakers produce the kind of music, I liked.

My office is near Junction 8, so when I went to do my VCool at Sin Ming there was this auto shop just next door, so I dropped in for a look see.

Initially was overwhelmed with the amount of stuff in there

But Ted guided me through the listening procedure lucky I was early, later the place was a bit packed with cars and ppl.

Hi, chances of getting Coe for non guranteed booking is very low, looking at the current Coe trend. The bidding is only at $39,999 for non guranteed, just hoping for Coe to drop. If Coe raises, car price raises, chances even lower. They might not secure Coe for you and will ask you to top up to the current car list prices. My advise is to switch to a guranteed by topping up if you really want a K3. If not, it's like a book and hope game.

Getting 510km per full tank for my last 2 topups of 42ltrs ... tt adds up to 12.14km/ltr for 50/50 highway & city

I like my KIA K3 EX. But I dun like the feel of the suspension. It's too soft & spongy. Never felt like so. Except for a long time ago Toyota Cressida. But, that felt soft & spongy only during serve & hard turns. Perhaps all of us WANTA check this out. Is this an inherent characteristic. What can I do? Welcome any comments & suggestions. What do you think about the following 1) Spring Buffer, a circular neoprene rubber which sits between the coils of the springs. Can this help? 2) Strut Bar, I've seen bolted down to the top of the Macpherson struts, inside the engine room. Is this a better option? 3) Then, do I need do sms to the rear suspension. How 2 do? 4) Then shops hv other stiffeners, like anti-roll bars. What shall I do, this is getting complicated

check if your tire pressure is correct. the soft feel could be due to that.

Suspension wise I thought the K3 was quite a good balance between firmness and comfort. A few of us added strut bars to the front and anti sway/roll bars to the rear which helps alot during cornering.

Does anyone know how the Anti-Hijack function of the KIA K3 EX work?
Mine is just past 3 mth old. The function does not work, or work erractically, since 'day one'.

ricleosg & all KIA owners, check yours - is there an inherent problem?

Also, I wish for a vibration alarm system independent of the on-board anti-theft system. Don't mind false warnings. Desire user settable for sensitivity. Louder the better. 160 db? to blast the crooked & their ears - they can't stay long in the cabin. Much appreciate any suggestion.

ya the red makes a difference. originally came with black lips, i wrapped it red.

check if your tire pressure is correct. the soft feel could be due to that.

Suspension wise I thought the K3 was quite a good balance between firmness and comfort. A few of us added strut bars to the front and anti sway/roll bars to the rear which helps alot during cornering.

It running on timing chain so less maintenance issue.�

Most K3s are generally young thus no issues as yet. But Kia image is good since my brother's Picanto. Not much issue. Just general wear and tear.

PLS HELP: 1) Experienced, who used F strut - wats d result? Anyone apply F & R struts - wats d result? Is spring buffer - those neoprene inserts between the springs - can they resolve my issue? I've looked under R suspension - wonder how they fix the R struct - any comments?

I find the suspension ok leh. Very comfortable driving and for passengers. My colleagues commented very comfortable compared to my previous Civic FD. My SX 17" rim Tire pressure 240kpa. No need waste money go install all those strut or springs.

front struts makes the steering more direct and heavier, gives more steering feel which i liked. I have the rear antisway bar installed too. both impact and improve most for cornering.

maybe there was also a marginal effect of slightly stiffer suspension, but not much. more for stiffer chasis feel and handling�

Nice pricing for PPS. I might consider doing one next year if it's only $300+

300+ is the oem ceramic pps. 400-600 is the more branded c quartz n c quartz finest pps. So choose to your budget

Dear Bros , just collected my SX today. Overall was good and satisfied with the car. Went immediately to replace with Conti sport contact 5 tyres. The Eurostyle HU is wonderful, good sound quality, considering its stock speakers. Great gps too. Found a line along my rear spoiler , look like adhesive stains.

Does anyone knows why the red light on the door panel doesn't light up when door is open?
