I booked my car at ubi showroom with one friendly SE. I didn't trade in any car, he he. You may pm me, I will tell you more details there.

I think I will send in for 1000km servicing next week at Ubi as well, nearer to my office. Let me know your experience there and took how long after to finish the job.

Did my 1,000km servicing on Friday at Ubi. First time there, make 2 rounds the compound before someone told me have to drive up to level 2 for servicing. First thing to do once u reach the reception is to key in your car reg no at the PC and it will print out a queue number for u. Go to counter, exchange some details and hand over key to the service guy. Waited at lobby.

Frankly speaking, when I collect my car, I just went through the checking with my SE... But take your time to wheat through all item function normally, any dent on car or paintwork, etc.. :)

I had an experience 1 week on the road my horn didn't work when I am trying to avoid an accident, good grief nothing happened... so you never know when it fail or never even work in the first place and when you needed it it is not working... not good!

1. assuming i want to see the new models, i will decide the model to view with an intention to purchase at a later date

2. fuel consumption figures

3. OMV

4. external and internal features. Fit your use? Safety features? 6 airbags (SX version)?

5. special/premium features (ask them to tell you)

6. Ask them to demonstrate the features from the steering wheel. If they are at a loss for words, that means they are unfamiliar with the car. If you are still keen to find out more, (maybe the promo is good compared with Leng Kee), then, check www.kia.com.sg and then the features from the website. ask whether the pricing/features are better than Leng Kee/Ubi.

7. I suppose you cannot test drive in road shows. You will need to test drive at a later date. if the promo is good and you need to make a decision, ask to test drive it at Leng Kee.

8. Do not talk price until you are serious. This part is best done in quieter environment.

icic...as i researched about the car online before i went down, I wanted to see the features "with my eyes" and "feel" the car....so when the SE came, I felt kinda nothing to ask as i probably (maybe) know more than him/her.

I really think that general public reception is much better after more than a year... more interests, more demand, COE hike and experienced /knowledgeable buyers demanding more freebies..all translate to higher price.. And I think K3 with its specs and features deserve to be priced better wrt other cars in the same category.. So potential buyers, better buy now before the price gets even higher :p

Toyota, Nissan n kia all have increased their prices. This is in anticipation of higher demand. The high price will enable them to bid at least 65k for the next qtr

Think you can check out Toyota Altis or the Nissan Sylphy. Their prices are better than K3 and has much more features. Very worth it. Book it before they also raise their prices.

I did mine, still need to give it the test of time... but the shine u get from it is definitely there... I hope it last but everything needs maintenance along the way such as re-coating, re-conditioning.

I believe its worth if you do it for the good of your ride and when�u feel happy, that's all it matters...

I got quote from a jb accessories dealer, they have android based hu and come with wifi for kia k3!!!

At the time of booking, there are 2 colours of choice only. Brown + Black (2 tones) and Black only.

Look for Imperial in internet. I paid 380 and should last for 9 months.
There are some cheap, but they want you to come back every 3 months. Add up cost become 1k plus a year. Good luck.

Well,if you think the GPS not important[anyway most smartphones got Google Maps which is better],maybe you can ask agent to change back to those stardard HU from factory & try it out..

I found the horn damn stiff and basically u nid to like�"hit" to sound it.� Tot it should be sensitive enough by just using a thump to sound it...To me it is not responsive�and may be dangerous in times of emergency...Any advise to improve the sensitivity?

After a few years of use, it should be fine - i had that same problem when the car was new. i can now tap the horn to give a soft alert.

I have more or less the same fc like yours. 11.29l/100km

Travelling between Singapore to Kuala Lumpur gave me around 6.5l/100km... how good is that? LOL... Such a big difference [nod]

Got my car around 3 weeks time, just going to achieve 700km, seem too slow =.= city plus express way drive around 8.5 -8.8l/100km. So far so good. Ha ha. I have done a 9h glass coating in jb which cost around $500 and come with 3 years warranty.
Next will go to jb to disable the HU setting "drive and no movie" which cost around $6 only :P and add a active subwoofer. He he

as i am still within 1,000km, and before the 1st servicing, I am almost touching 9l/100km. Not too good. It should only get better after servicing.

If you have $35k cash, and the 40% downpayment would be more than that, even the K3 EX is beyond your budget unless you top up.

Since you kia supporter, why not get a second-hand cerato forte (the 2009 version)? There are still alot of this model on the road and sgcarmart got alot of sellers as well.
