i know what you mean. When compared to the Shell 95, this change is too sudden. As one who monitors my consumption figures regularly, this change seems too soon (13l/km to 14l/km in one minute of idling - was 7.3l/km only 1km away at petrol station)

Had not seen the new SX compared to the one I have which is the sport edition bought under SG50 promotion. Is it really downsized alot in equipment other than the bodykit and sun roof. Seen the brochure but it is nowhere attractive compared.

The installer and supplier of this China made Eurostyle HU is in Kaki Bukit... can't rem the name of the co liao.. you can ask your SE nicely and he may tell u.....

I got mine from Qoo10, DR550-1CH, Korea set and 1 version behind current model DR650. Cheaper than local. Both model almost identical specs even though newer.

The SX in showroom was with bodykit and the 1st thing SE told me was ignore the bodykit as it is not part of package. So naturally assumed the spoiler will also not come with.
What i meant is the tip of the exhaust pipe.
The spoiler is something like this.

Also had a very good experience with the sales staff a certain Mr. 'E'
Really looking forward to get my new car, in the next 2 to 3 months.
Have to wait 2-3mths? Damn .. Looks like any car model also need to wait few mths except french... Hehe...

1st the exterior sporty design caught my attention on the road. Suprised it was a KIA actually. Did my research and guess the features sold me too. Also helps that it is below my budget of 100k.
Hv alot pple around me warning agaisnt buying a korean make as compared to japan make. Unreliable, poor FC, Low resale $$ etc etc. S***W them haha. I find that might be true perhaps 10yrs back.
At the end of it - i sit inside i happy ... the missus also happy. Case closed fr me.
At point of time looking at these other options ...
- vezel (rather not buy through PI)
- qashqai (out of my budget and dont like the steering)
- mazda 3 (came close but find interior quite small especially with sunroof my hair was touching the top)
Current ride is 9yr old Lancer Glx.

The K3 LED tail lights caught my attention one day while driving on the road. Nice design and attractive. Together with it's DRL at the front, making the car looks totally stunning. And their stock 17", not too bad IMHO. Ok, that's exterior.

Decided to drop by C&C Ubi showroom one fine day to check out the car, SX model in particular. Was blown away by it's cockpit interior features. Feels good and feels "continental". Some features which only come standard on a continental car. Motorised/memory seat, steering wheel (cruise/flex steer/bluetooth phone), push start / keyless entry, and the list goes on. Sat inside, butt feels pretty good. So went on to go for a test drive on the SX.

Quiet cabin, factory fitted leather seats with ventilation aircon for driver side. Interesting and useful features that I have never heard or seen of. My wife sat at the rear during the test drive. Rear aircon for a saloon car is pretty rare too, usually only see rear aircon for sedans like Camry/Accord/Teana category range of car. Test drive went well and smooth, very comfortable ride I must say. Acceleration power was not too bad, 130 bhp for a 1.6L engine. Acceptable to me.

I previously owned a Civic FD 1.8L, with some typical mods. Engine performance and power wise, no horse run comparing to K3.�When I took over the K3, I took quite sometime to adapt to this new car. If wasn't the reaching of 10 years COE, I was so reluctant to let go of my Civic. However, comfort wise, the K3 beats the Civic hands down. But anyway, now married with a 2 year old baby, and second baby coming soon, no need so fast car. Comfort is my main priority for a car.

Actually was very very tempted by Honda Vezel. Was contemplating between Vezel and K3. Some more Vezel only by PI, HR-V over priced, my colleague waited almost 4-5 months for his Vezel to be delivered. And I heard it's engine running on Honda Fit 1.5L platform, feels a bit underpowered when tested the HR-V. Tested the Altis, but the price a bit turn off. Made in Thailand and not much features.

Interestingly, if today you search on sgcarmart used K3 cars, you will not likely to find any results for any second hand K3 in the market. I guess, the reason why is simple, which I need not say much.

For me is the spacious rear seats and those features that usually only can be found in Continental car or luxury sedan.�
K3 was not my first choice but decide on it after i went to the showroom.

Frankly speaking. Prior to my current K3 i am driving a pre owned cerato 2 gen ago one for a good 6 years. Normal wear and tear confrim have. There was never Need for a major ops or any transplant. So talk abt reliability.. i can only say they nv try korean b4. One thing is for sure. The metal is hard and very hard.Good question lol

If you think a honda is harder. Try hitting the bonnet with the side of your fist between a vezel and a k3. Just bang on it.

It's normal for k3. If u want better fc, stick with Mazda 3, Mitsubishi Attrage, Nissan Note and etc.I am only clocking 8.5L/100KM. How much are you guys doing???
