go reg with Galatico using the device ID. u can find it in settings.

It will auto identify ur device with the device ID. Then depending on software version, if need to update, update, instruction is with the downloaded file from galatico.

I had an issue of unable to identify the device due to some licensing issue.

It popped a new device ID different frmo the one i obtained from my settings. As every device ID will auto generate a license file in galatico for download.

Not sure why, I restart next morning and I was able to open my gps already.

�

The support team from Galatico is pretty slow tho.

Best is to check with C&C. For first year, you get some promo for insuring with AIG. I was with them for 5 years already.

It's not even $5k extra, it's $4k, for the sun roof and body kit.

Hi Bros. This morning when I started the car and drove a short distance there was constant alarm sound. Checked evething and seem to be ok. Later can't remotely open/close the car. Look like the smart key battery run out of?

Using the second key and thing works as usual so guessing the continuous beep beep sound must be from smart key battery. Any of you experience the same thing? And for battery replacement do I need to do at C&C?

i was using one with sunroof. hardly use it. If you like the sun, or want to let in cool air, is a good option.

if the battery power on your key is running low... it should display on the driver console..

Guys, please confirm with C&C if the sunroof was made locally. As in, they send your brand new car into some workshops and have the roof CUT OUT and install a rudimentary sunroof in it

I am asking this becos back in late 2009, during the final days of the FD Civics in SG, KM offered sunroof options for the FDs in SG as well.

Those sunroof were fabricated in SG...workmanship... well... lets just say would you like your brand new car to have its roof cut off and installed with non factory original glass roof and a new headliner?

copy the map file into sd card will do.. make sure ur gps software is of the latest version, else u can only use the older maps.

Yes but bringing in the factory original sunroof Forte will surely push up its OMV, and it may cross the $20k mark, and causing the car to be subjected to the 50% DP scheme instead of 40%...

You don't need to be subjected to such nonsense if the sunroof is done locally... do confirm just to be sure

One easy way to tell.... If the completed car still uses the normal overhead console/lighting as a non sunroof Forte, that sunroof could very well be locally made. And watch out for rough edges of the headliner. Its unlikely locally installed ones will be as perfectly fitted as factory originals.

The new Sports is the aftermarket bodykit model huh?

Way the salesguy told me a week or two ago I thought was adding to existing models.

He also mention to me the bodykit include factory HID-projector headlamps.

Anyone else know what else the sports kit got? Also they mention that got a $1,000 (or $2,000 if bought after collection) "Eurostyle" touchscreen media player. Include nav(?) and reverse cam. Seem Eurostyle is the brand, but not original KIA - locally fitted. Not in the showroom unit cars so dunno if anyone got tried it before.

solar film is pretty standard, u could had ask them. For the gps/reverse cam, the eurostyle headunit. confirm with ur SE it is a freebie on �top of ur original headunit. If it is freebie on top of the original, retrieve ur original headunit to keep.

Just a word of advise if you intend to get from Aliexpress or Taobao, they cater mainly to China market and China's K3 is slightly different from our K3. If you may have noticed, the taillamps design are different, the grille size is different, they are left hand drive (impt for internal accessories as you get mirror image items), the boot cover also slightly different (in size). Those ebay direct from Korea should be quite safe. I bought bootlip spoiler, boot chrome trim from taobao all can't fit. But if you are into chrome styling, they got a wide selection (for headlamp, taillamp, window, foglight, door trims, interior chrome trims for doors, steering wheels, cup holder, etc).�

on the rear spoiler, i am also thinking of the non LED one at about S$170 from korea shipping included. Apparently the LED one doesn't need any holes to be drilled though, cable goes along the side of the spoiler and into the rear lamp. not too sure how to go about the wiring installation tho. so non LED is safer. LED one about $200+

I made the mistake of buying this from taobao! Note that China K3 grille is different in dimensions from ours and cannot fit. Look carefully at their photo and compare to ours. Their top edge is flatter and more horizontal while ours is angled more in a v shape. Never understand why China Kia wants to design their K3 grille dimensionally different from the Korean one.

Ya, I suspect theirs is made in China for local market hence the slight differences in design. Most noticeable is the grille design and taillamp design. Actually the foglight design is also slightly different and my chrome foglight drl actually cannot fit nicely, but my installer did abit of mod to fix it. I also suspect the boot is slightly different too as the bootlip spoiler from taobao cannot fit properly. There are a few mm gap at both ends.

They wouldn't bother as it is not explicitly stated that their product fits the international or Korean model. Cannot compare with amazon standard of customer service. I had another item, chrome cover for my K3 side mirror bought from aliexpress. Webpage specifically show the model which is a half cover type (which I wanted) and they sent a full cover one. When I make noise they say this is latest model, I continue to kpkb and the seller agree to send the correct one but I still need to cover postal cost! Just be wary of alot of these prc sellers.

I think someone earlier said got trouble mounting on local SG model since those come from China for China model. Fit slightly wrong but can still install.

Dashcam are those "vehicle black box" or w/e you want to call them, in-car-camera. You mount near the front so it record whats happening when you driving. Idea is to have evidence when something happen on the road like accident. Nowadays considered almost essentially equipment.

Replacing badge ... I think some people said easy, but I'm not a DIY person... also I don't have a K3 nor have I settled to order one yet... Can't advise you on that. Probably use some sort of thing like those 'plastic-opener tool' to pull it out and stick in new one? Or maybe it's screwed in... See the back of your badges when they arrive.

Your steering wheel one though looks like it's just supposed to be paste on top of the original badge... the sample picture makes it look like it's sticking out whereas the original is a bit flush.

As for the circular badges those won't fit in the original KIA badges... they are all oval.

For that chrome window trim, note that the small A pillar chrome trim (shape like v), the bottom portion may interfere with the small chrome trim already on your ride. Give you a tip for the steering wheel chrome trim, when you install on your steering wheel, paste 2 masking tape at the 2 ends and leave it there for at least 1 or 2 days as the adhesive is not very strong and you need to set it in. Otherwise the edge may lift up.�

You may be interested to know that there are interior chrome trims for all 4 doors and chrome cover for rear aircon from taobao. Unfortunately, chrome cover for front aircon don't fit as they are left hand drive. For the steering wheel logo, it is stick on over original. As for the wheel cap covers, those you showed should fit over our stock 17 inch wheels unless you are changing to aftermarket rims where most would change the entire wheel cap (but aftermarket rims usually have bigger wheel caps, so take note).

C&C offers the single channel blackvue for $440 and dual channel for $655. hehe i am using a SJCAM 4000 wifi as a dashcam for now.

Think FC wise Mazda 3 is better.�

I think K3 is more pro-family because of the bigger back space and rear aircon. (although I personally don't find Mazda 3 backspace small maybe becoz I am small build la..but my family find it small and no rear aircon)

But I really fancy Mazda 3 deluxe interior ...if I were to choose between K3 SX or Mazda 3 deluxe I will choose the latter. I am not an engine person...=X

I like the Mazda 3's heads-up-display and integral navigation system...

but other than that the K3 seems to have much more to offer like the better rear space and vents. K3 also has lower price.

ah... my SE said the batteries probably need replacing every 2 years. Maintenance free battery is like that issit? In the past the batteries that need to top up battery fluid, do they last longer?

So far so good the car... It is a family car to ferry my wife and son around. comfy is a must. [cool]

As for others asking about other ride compare to K3..

Altis: Traditionally favourite car of all times in Singapore. Nothing against it. FC wise not too bad according to their owner. Priced higher by BM although the features is quite normal. Buy Altis for peace of mind according to Altis owner.

Mazda 3: IMO, improve a lot over the years. Based on Mazda 3 forum, Handling is excellent. FC is excellent due to their I-Stop technology. Changing the Battery is expensive though. Price is also higher.

�

Elantra: Hmm... this one other than facelift. The rest I think just as same as previous pre-face lift model.

�

Having said that, I did not own 3 models above, am a proud K3 owner. All opinions are based on what I read from their thread.

Congrats on getting the COE! haha they also did a last minute revision for mine from 68000 to 69000 the last round, although the initial bid would have succeeded.

depends on the color you chose as well. If it is one that is not in stock at the moment, will have to wait for the next shipment.

�

They can register the road tax and IU usually within 2-3 days of balance payment, and if the color is in stock like mine, can get it within one week of balance paid.
