    Hi,

I just got my COE on first bid too. Non-gtd. SX model. Stream Metal. Expected to get car by Weds or Thurs next week.

I was talking to the sale exec today when I goes down to pay the balance. Most EX non-gtd get their COE. According to the SE, it is indeed cos the profit margin of the car.

    I m officially a K3 owner!

    Cheers

Hmm your 103999 not gtd right? Cos he say mine is scheduled for fitting on 15 sep, takes about 2 to 3 days. Plus I opt out for eurostyle so less things to fit.

Non gtd too. 1st bid too. Actually I heard people got theirs in 3 working days. First you need them to reserved a car with chassis number for you. I got mine today, in fact before I bought the car, I already reserved the colour already. Then your insurance plays a part. Need them to clear your payment so you can get your insurance in time for car collection. I paid by cash. And lastly you need to know how to press the sale exec!

    Hi there,

New to K3, but would like to find out more from you guys...hope you can help..:)

Is Eurostyle referring to the GPS cum Reverse Cam ?

I presumethe SX does not come with Eurostyle by default, so what is the default ?

Seems that Eurostyle and Bodykit are locally fit for the SX...so is there some other thing that are locally fitted and can be opted out (with some rebate)beside these 2 ?

    Thx in advance...

    1)yes GPS cum reverse cam.

2)Default is the 1 you see in sgcarmart photos

3)actually good thing about kia k3 is almost everything is fitted in factory, which is a good thing. So far i can also think of these 2 only and maybe the solar film? usually a free gift though.

    It's simple maths.

Car cost for SX = 39K
    COE reserve price = 57,999
    Total cost = 97k
Selling price = 105k (non guaranteed)

    Kia's profit margin on SX = 8k

    EX car cost = 32,700
Selling price = 95k (non guaranteed)

Hence I expect his reserve price to be around 54k, which is obviously unattainable in the current market.

By the way this also means for those buying SX, non guaranteed bid is a good choice if COE stays around this level. No need to pay an extra 4k ^_^

Congrats to all bros who secured the COEs this latest round..

after this GE sample count results now, COE will go up with the PAPzis coming back into power with even greater force to curtail car ownership & usage !

Get your cars ASAP when you can !

As mine is Ex version, I bought steel pedal, seat belt buckle, luminous rubber pad for slot, Stainless steel door scuff, boot mat and some cable clips.

Last but not least, I designed my own decal for road tax/season parking and send to printing service from Qoo10.

Though SX has many premium features (and also seems better sound proofing as compared to EX), still thinking very hard if these worth the additional 10K.

Also, the package that they purchase the EX and what freebie can wenegotiate ?

    Mine an EX.

Ihad a check list in mind and EX met enough of them, though I did wished it hadleather wrapped steering wheel and rear disc brake (available for CY2015 batch onwards).

Do note EX only come with 2 front air bags.

SX 6 airbags could be moreimportant than $10k if you are safety conscious.

Not sure about EX, one of the main thing I decided on SX is because of the additional AC vent at the back. Also as of now, I think getting SX is as good as a 1x cfm bid. Last I heard most EX did not get their non-gtd bid. It doesn't matter if you are not in a rush. My current car COE ending next month

I was quite fixed on the SX so did not really see much on the basic model. I agree, you have to make a trip down and check, sometimes they can quote a lower price as advertised.

Thx for the comments for EX.

Actually, like what a Bro mentioned, the most important thing in the SX list is the 6 air bags, as compared to the 2 air bags in EX. This is to me the most important aspect that missing in EX...otherwise, I mok with the EX.

Just wondering if any Bro here manage to get Eurostyle + Rikecool for EX based on 95K ? (If not, what else can we ask for for EX ?)

Also, anyone manage to not taking the finance package (.28%) and still get the 3K offset ?

I tried to check with the SA and he said not possible to get 3K offset if not taking any loan...:(

    Thanks in advance...

The one I booked for is Ceramic Pro which is the extreme package. This one is a 5 layer protection which added thickness to your paint which resist to bird poo, scratches, rock chips etc. Now got promotion for new cars within 7 days old which I opt for. Other than discount, free extra layer plus leather treatment.

Drawback is the hefty price which cost more than 3 x of what CS II quoted me but I thinking if I pay $100k + for a car so what is this cost if I can better protect my car like new everyday.. Just my thoughts.

I booked for 2 cars though the other one is for my brother which happens to collect our new cars this week.

Actually the best protection for my car is the car cover. No dust, no dirty water streaks..cost me 7mins on n off everyday..it doesn't help that I'm working in tuas, so the paint protection won't last in the terrible polluted environment there..

I collected my K3 last month. Realised that when I closed the driver door, the sound is weird. Sent my car for 1K servicing today and they realised it's due to the door knocking on the body kit :(

    quick check with you all...

recently, i noticed that when i accelerate harder/rev up when going up the steeper slopes or overtaking, some engine smell seems to seep into the car from the air-con vents.

is this normal? never really encountered this before when i started driving the car in may. Only in the last few weeks.

The air-con is on internal re-circulation, not taking in air from outside.

Just take it lor repair n spray if not u will keep niam niam niam abt it till u sell n buy another car. They respray for u issit becos de body kit color does not match ur car color?

I jus send my car to respray today then they give me a replacement car which is sportage to drive as it will take2-3 days to complete

i think the repair will have some scratches that's why need to re-spray. I also told them that the front body kit has a different colour. So, they will re-spray that part too i think. Still waiting for their guys from Pandan to call me when they have a spare car available.

    jI8wUHw.jpg

Taken from my ride.. the door sounds a bit "lao hong", suspected is the rubber sealing, not firmly adherse to the body at certain area.

Above is my ride, showing door not hitting the bodykit as reference

mine is actually like a higher pitch sound instead of the solid door closing sound.

not sure if the sunroof already comes with IR/UV protection, but if you bring the car for solar film installation, they should do for the whole car including the sunroof la

i think the sunroof glass is already darken by original design. the solar film is for additional protection i guess.

Sunroofs are usually made of a tinted glass compared to the windows. I don't think my car has any film on but the sunroof is noticeably of a grayer-purplish dark color. It's not a KIA K3 though.

Hi, anyone bought their Kia from Fulco ?
Can share the experience in term of services, freebies, COE bidding and delivery ?
    Thanks.

I was served by this young chap Lionel, tel 96520717. Very friendly and knowledagble guy

He was able to offer the Forte SX Sports for $105k non guaranteed COE, plus the Eurostyle GPS HU with reverse cam, RikeCool 28 (including the sunroof), front n rear video recorder.

I also asked for bodykit delete in exchange for paint sealant job as listedat the back of C&C price list.

But I have to hold off my purchase first for he got me a really lousy trade in price for my Civic. I will sell my Civic on my own before going to him again.

He is willing to let me source for my own insurance without any penalty. Their insurance premiums is totally ridiculous. :(

I will go for Aviva with max excess amount. All insurance companies in sg are legal crooks. There's really no point in paying more. Just get the cheapest and bare min coverage will do.

    I asked for it.

Contrary to popular belief sunroof area can trap a lot of heat, esp when your glass panel AND the sun shade is closed. The heat can buildup tremendously between the 2 layers causing premature discoloring and wear n tear to the affected parts.

We may use the darkest and most effective solar film on the sunroof glass panel since it not covered by whatever nonsensical VLT rules from LTA.

At least for the first 4 yrs I am covered then at most do servicing 1 yr till 5 yrs expired. After which go to my preferred workshop since the engine warranty is not necessary as I seldom drive a lot only for work transition to and fro.

    Hi,

My radio reception seems pretty bad in tunnels. Is that normal? My previous Cerato Forte don't have this issue. Is it because of the Eurostyle set? C&C mentioned that they have checked the connection point and said that it's normal for poor reception in the tunnel. If so, why is my previous ride ok?

Does your Eurostyle GPS unit hasdead reckoning'' features?

Usuallyin tunnel, reception is patchy and "auto-extrapolated" assisted gps tracking kicks it...

hmm not sure .. What does it do?

Do I need to enable it so that the reception is better?

    Thanks.

Different cars have different antenna qualities, so it may not necessarily be the HU. Did the old Cerato have an external antenna? I think the K3 uses a windshield embedded antenna?

same same bro... i also tot of the same thing.. not likely the current korean car quality will kaput so fast...

maybe after 5 yrs I change to another car liao... my wifey [gorgeous] already say liao before I even get my hands on this one..lol... [laugh]

Kia and Hyundai improved leaps and bounds and I believe it can last as long as a Toyota. Actually if you know how to take care of a car. It can last forever.

Now I feel like driving a continental car though its a Kia but feels way more premium than the slightly expensive Japanese make and OMV is not much difference from them.

Lucky never buy the Altis. I rather buy made in Korea than Thailand but not saying Altis is not good but is just way too common car on the road. My $100k car everywhere, WTF>?

yes i think the K3 uses embedded antenna. We can't extend the antenna to make the reception better .. can we?

Ya, I visited kah motors n Borneo motors n was not impressed by the Honda city and Toyota altis, in terms of looks, equipment levels vs their prices.. Esp seeing their outright profit margins..

Ended up in kia n looked at the k3 , its price n came away feeling better.. Lol..

Just check with the SX sports owner. did you notice your side skirts are not stick properly? especially some where in the center. Though does not bother me but a bro highlighted me when he is checking my fuse box to connect the car camera.

not really an issue. but you can always go back to the WS and tell them to fix it. One of the bro in our chat group had his being patched with sealant. Black sealant though lol.

If so might as well dun bother.. haha anyway it is still 80% secured and not dropping off anytime. just quite odd. Some more my car is white. After years passes, the glue is ugly.

I saw before there are clips holding the k3 side skirts to the bottom of the side of the car.. My current car side skirt held up by screws at both ends and along the length stuck by clear sealant only.. Can't last long with the constant rattling n weather..
