new batch of car should be here during august liao from what i heard fr my agent.
i booked last time at 95,999 6 bid non gurantee. yesterday changed it with top up to 2 bid gurantee coe. Trading in my current forte

16k lol. initially rhey asked if i wanted to top up a little like 5k or 10k but looking at the COE lvl plus rebate lvl they give, ended up i chose the 16k top up with 67k coe rebate lvl. mine was the 40k rebate lvl initially

on the last day before MAS ruling took effect...muahaha... my SE is super gd guy, as i expressed interest in k3 a few days earlier, he took initiative to call me when he know MAS suddenly announce that ruling, I immdiate rush down and sign on the dot...

I booked mine at 92,999 with 5K top up for guarantee COE, Snow White Pearl. But that time the ruling already in place, so I didn't have 100% loan, only 60%. Don't have COE yet too, SE says will get in Aug.

Did you guys make the purchase without even seeing it in real life? Other than the pics from worldwide reviews and photoshoots, is it wise to purchase a vehicle without actually sitting in it and testing it? I am not being sceptical on this but its kinda hard to splash 100K plus for a vehicle without testing it. I mean, it is not just another item on Ebay or Amazon eh.

I was there on 26th July 7pm to collect my Kia Soul after servicing. At first look, the K3 looks almost identical from a 2012 Forte. Even my wife indicates that: " why are they placing the forte on the external display?" Prior to heading up to 2nd lvl to get my car, I went inside and take a look around before planting my arse on the driver seat.

I would say that the seat is comfortable for touring purpose. The dashboard was great but somehow the 2012 forte rear seats are bigger than the K3 (It seems to be designed for 2 and if someone sits in the middle, its gona be uncomfortable).

Other than the awesome interior design of the K3.....the rear lights of it looks almost identical to the 2013 Sorento (though smaller a bit) and from the side, it looks like the Forte.

Somehow or rather, I do not find it very special from other great looking compact sedans as compared to the Jetta Sport, 2013 Renault Fluence, etc.

I would be happy if they bring in the 2Liter or the 1.6 turbo version in. Oh Oh....not forgetting the awesome K9 series!

Actually hor...the soul does look like a unwanted child from Daihatsu Material and the well know Toyota B B. Its kinda ugly.

That is why i do up a of mod to look.....a bit decent lor....if not fir my limited budget....i would gone for my favourite defender lor...

bro, i guess some pple buy car more for the looks than anything else but for me, i was impressed with the specs of the car as compared to similar 1.6 models available in sg. the reviews from overseas drivers, videos n pictures did show it to be well liked and presented great value for money. thats why i believe most pple who booked the k3 did so. they didnt do it for the looks. anyway, pple buy ferraris and lamborghinis without testdriving when they launch new models.

similarly, i dun find the soul appealing because of its boxlike shape and close resemblance to the daihatsu materia u mentioned and its small interior n boot. everyone has different tastes, some pple find the lamborghini gallardo or ferrari 458 ugle but others will find them appealing. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. for a buyer like me, a nissan GTR presents a much better value than a porche carrera S, and i would choose the GTR anyday. maybe u would choose the carrera S?

i found its a bit confusing while you commented on the so so look but prefer for 2.0L / 1.6 turbo version... ~_~
At current market, K3 has advantage in term of price / feature and look (try compare fm side view if old and new forte similar) and thats why people think its great. Test drove it and its good.

I placed the order without seeing real car, SE only showed me catalog. I was not the first batch buyer and all of them did the same as me, bought without seeing it.

I did test try Elantra, which the engine is same as K3 so there is a certain level of idea how the drive will be. Rest of it, it's really up to individual. Some wouldn't, like you; some would, like those who placed order.

Come on accept it that k3 is a much better car than soul, I hate to do comparison cos soul isn't in that league to compete with k3. Wanna compare just go to this link n compare side by side

Aiyah...diff ppl diff brain diff needs....im not a mini suv fan..find the soul boxy and crampy. I lurve the k3 the min i saw in their korean website. No need to think twice liao. Kimchi or sushi whicheve i find more tasty and value for money sure buy! When me and wife saw, sat and drove actual car during pre launch....it was like WOW! Look and feel close like conti...brand put aside...it was the specs and total package that won me over...its my choice but the bros who also buy k3 maybe got same feeling as me or not??

C&C cut cost.???C&C just 'Look down' on KIA owners.!Look at their Mercedes-Benz launch,always 5 stars hotel or resort,Hey this type of launch party is the worst i went to.!Just Fed-Up,with them,they should invited ALL owners[those cars that registered & park on the 2nd level],can meet more owners too,just tell all the car owners, the 7 owners[inc me] are owners that draw lots & lucky....so they drive out from the showroom,after the launch,the ones that did not get the lots will drive home their cars from the 2nd level..fairer to everybody.

Your are wrong,those cars on the 2nd level are ready for collection ones....only maybe these owners paid less[$105k],so C&C not happy...anyway my car got no solar films install..

If C&C is gonna bring in the low end K3 with little features, I don't see how the elantra will lose out to the K3.

I think the current price is refer to the high spec (18k OMV), i dont think people will be happy if they book same price but getting the one with 15k OMV spec.
Sales agreement should mention if you have "HID headlamp pack" means its a high spec version.

Saw the K3 today ... nice car! The seats are comfy, the door trims and dash are soft touch not those hard plastic ones thus giving it a premium feel to it. The car is equipment packed ... bluetooth, cruise controls, paddle shifts, dual zone A/C with back blower, etc. Personally, if one is not particular about the badge and is in need of a car, this is one car that should be considered. Did not test drive it so cannot say much about the ride and the soundproofing but one thing for sure, C&C and Fulco sales people HUAT liao

Elantra looks stunning at begin. However, I feel it doesn't has a long lasting look... After a while, I feel the look is tiring... Maybe see too many similar one in Korea. Anyway, look is subjective. I still prefer elantra if compared to Altis or Civic

Elantra n k3 still looks better than Honda anytime. Honda is a long ago out of fashion design...

What are the diff between the specs?

quite a few difference.

glove box aircon cooling, boot lip spolier, projector headlamps but non HID, non touchscreen headunit, normal windows instead of UV cut glass thus they will give you window tinting instead.

when u sign on the dotted line earlier, i believe the agreement would state the specifications dated XXX date. if you take alook at the new spec, what i mentioned above are those omitted. mine was wrtieen dated May 2013 spec catalogue which is the 18k OMV batch

Your are wrong,those cars on the 2nd level are ready for collection ones....only maybe these owners paid less[$105k],so C&C not happy...anyway my car got no solar films install..

first 2 batches some with UV cut glass thus not a requirement for solar films already bro. unless of cos u want to do it yourself to make it darker hehe

Elantra looks stunning at begin. However, I feel it doesn't has a long lasting look... After a while, I feel the look is tiring... Maybe see too many similar one in Korea. Anyway, look is subjective. I still prefer elantra if compared to Altis or Civic

Agreed, design for elantra and k3 is nicer than altis and civic la. But too bad k3 doesnt have sunroof version. If k3 comes with sunroof would be nice.

So dealer's profit is : $120k - $60k (COE Rebate) - $(18k(OMV) x 2.3) + $5 (CEVS rebate) = $23.6k !!! Of course, they may bid as high as $83.6k for your COE.

your own car petrol when u drive out? hehehe
should be nothing much..more towards when u get your COE, then whatever payments required should be made then and there like insurance premium and any further cash outlay etc instead of when collecting car.

u can also bug your agent and ask hehe..
