Most of the participants in this forum own a vezel or have committed interested in the vezel, thus the biased view to the vezel over the hrv.

Lol. Agreed to some sense but I must say I do find hrv a bit quieter though door insulation seems similar. But that is also because of the SOHC eng. The steering is also a bit heavier hence making you have the notion the ride is heavier. The rear doors also seems heavier but I reckon it might be the hinge.

last weekend test drive HR-V, tot it's similar as Vezel,

but very disappoint compare to Vezel in term of interior�built quality, engine refinement, power and price

don't think it can sell well�while Vezel in market

Check out the HRV and the only plus point that is attracting me is the bronze/brown colour HRV. The colour is more chio than the Vezel Maroon red.

After a 3 month wait, I'm a proud new owner of the vezel! This car has exceeded my expectations and it feels awesome to drive it! Contrary to what others say, I find the engine to be pretty quiet, coming from a Ford focus. This is only the X model and I thought it was good enough. Pick up is great and effortlessly transit into 100kmh on the highway at about 2k rpm. I love the brake hold/assist function, and the smart led headlight technology is just beautiful.

My PI Leco Prestige, while they did not deliver it on time as stated in the contract (stated 15th, but delivery was 9 days late), they have been responsive and I'm satisfied with their overall service. Looking forward to installing some extra goodies and enjoying this ride for a long time to come!

Quieter may not mean more fined imo. Overall putting advancement aside, i feel that also must look at the hp produced (assuming no tweaking) and fuel economy. Maybe you should ask the salesgal putting noise aside, how is sohc better than dohc.

Finally got the chance to check out hrv and it's true really that the trim level of hrv is indeed low. Headlight aside, the cabin light is 80s style halogen bulb and housing. The shark fin antenna is not colour coded, No chrome ring for speaker, no city brake system, no side and curtain airbags.

New to this and considering getting a Vezel.

Which model (G, X, S) is the sweet spot and where can I get a good deal? Only need the car in August or so.

petrol version seems more popular here. although i understand that hybrids aren't really tested and proven yet, having a hybrid car would means i will depend less likely on fuel prices.�

Bro, wat u need is a 7 seater MPV size. It's a headache for the adult to squeeze into the center seat with baby seats on both sides of the door.

In my current saloon car, I placed 2 full size child seat on the right side and in the middle.

Bro, are you referring to full size child seat?� I have 2 child seats (those that can be converted to booster seat kind). My FIL can get in and sit comfortably in the middle.

I think it will be a tight squeeze. Mainly because I have the two child seats (up to four years old). The smaller adult I mentioned is actually my son, who will be going into his teens soon. I foresee him going thru a growth spurt soon, and he's already starting to bulk up from all the sports he's playing.

I know the only way to know is to really try it out, might have to take a drive down to see.

Quieter may not mean more fined imo. Overall putting advancement aside, i feel that also must look at the hp produced (assuming no tweaking) and fuel economy. Maybe you should ask the salesgal putting noise aside, how is sohc better than dohc.
Meaning no change to exterior yet.

Booked mine, PI threw in Rike Cool solar films. UV and tinted doesn't mean there is heat rejection.

I will compare it to just vios. Probably slightly quieter but it deps on your tyres. Eng on the other hand is a tag noisier but nevertheless pleasing to the ears.

I dun think many pple are bigger sized than me haha, enjoying the space in my vezel, even in passenger seats. Feels roomier and more comfy than harrier and�all merc models except M and shooting brakes and S class but I doubt we r ready to buy those.

My Mazda 2 left only 14 months to go, so I've been considering my next car. Have always liked SUVs, to me, the Honda Vezel is really a beauty. Went to the CAR expo and sat in the driver seats of Vezel and Qashqai. However I'm petite (1.55m), the two cars seem a bit too big for me, even when I sit up straight I am still partially blocked by the dashboard, cannot get a good view of the front. Didn't find out more about the adjustibility of the car seats from the SEs as they were busy talking to other potential customers. To be frank, due to my size and look, most SEs won't take my inquiries seriously, they usually think that I look too young to even have a driving license in the first place.�

The driver's seat can be pumped up or down in terms of height. To suit high seating or low seating drivers. Hope this helps. If you are in SK during office hours, feel free to drop by my carpark to have a feel of the vezel. PM to contact.

not to worry. my wife, who is the one driving, also stand at about your height. She have only 1 year of driving experience before driving this car. So she is�considered a newbie. I a newbie can adjust to�Vezel, I am sure a seasonal driver like you will have no problem. Go visit any PI to try out.�

Size of both car are likely the same but toyota is slightly bigger(correct me if I'm wrong). Could you guys give some comment of these 2 cars? Advantage and disadvantage of both cars. Thanks

I think both cars target different consumers, one is a saloon and another a suv. I met a couple of people who bought vezel because they wanted a higher car and more of the new features, while more traditional consumers who wanted a comfortable and affordable (subjective) saloon car would stick to an Altis. The plus about the Altis is that its by BM, so to many buyers this gives them a piece of mind.

I just got my Vezel, and all the new technology in the car are refreshing to me, like cruise control and brake hold. I find the boot space to be very big and I love the flexibility of folding the back seats in different ways for different needs. The one con I can think of is that you have to buy from a PI, and you have to do quite alot of homework to see what PI offers what kind of package, and more importantly confirm the car delivery date.

Having said that, I think the new Altis is also very good-looking, and I see alot of them on the roads these days. It's also known to be a very reliable car and I think the brand/model sells itself. If there's something to nitpick, I feel that Vezel offers more value for money with the newer features I get, and it's also more sporty, but then again to each his/her own. �

If you are keen, you should go to BM to test drive the Altis, and also see if you can get to ride in a Vezel, which will help you decide better which car you will eventually go for.

New to this forum. We are very interested to join the owners club and shopping now at various PI for probably the X model. G-model (main difference is without City brake assist?) seems not to be available at all? Looking at the very well maintained�complied list of delivered Vezels, Hup Long has the most counts. Roughly what are the thrown in "freebies" can i expect if i book a unit from them? Rike solar fims, leather seats, leather wrapped steering wheels, extended (>3yrs or >100,000km) warranty?

Anyone knows if a roof rack could be installed as well on the X-model? I might want to put in that at as a later upgrade to put the unicycles on top so i could free up the boot for baby stroller etc. =)

If you wan roof rack, better buy the correct car model/variant right from the start.

Warranty are 3 years for most PI, Vincar is 5 years though if you are looking for longer warranty.

Warranty claims from PI can be an issue as it has happened to some in the past. Even from AD can be challenging at times too.

5 Big sized adults will be a little challenging. The car will move but it wont be very enjoyable.

I thought I wouldn't use the cruise control, but actually on the highway I like to set it on 80-90kmh and let my foot rest without needing to step on accelerator. I hope I won't develop an over-reliance on it, since it might be more dangerous to cancel the cruise control and step on the brake (takes a fraction more time) as compared to releasing accelerator and flooring the brake during emergency situations.�

I believe the Vezel X & S model beat Altis hand down in term of equipment level (include safety equipment).

I always think that at year 2015, BM still giving us a Altis with only 2 airbag and or ESP is really UNBELIEVABLE.........

There's no used Vezel in the market now. There was a used G model but was recently sold.

The 7-speed Dual Clutch betters the CVT in terms of fuel efficiency wise (it is basically a manual gearbox with two clutches). Probably less parasitic losses as compared to CVT.�

�

Response-wise, how do I even start. There is simply no way the CVT can match up to the DCT in terms of response. No.Way. The mechanical workings of the CVT is just laggy, compared to the quick shifts of DCT. It is said that good DCT gearboxes shift way faster than any Manual maestro can shift.

�

Reliability wise, nobody knows as it is still too early. The recalls that has been so infamous, are all software related issues. Nothing wrong with the hardware so far. In fact, if you want to pull out facts, the old Honda CVT has issues due to their lock up clutch design. There are many cases of CVT boxes failure after 150,000 miles (~250,000 km). Thankfully, the new EarthDreams CVT ditches the lock up clutch for a torque converter. Slightly less efficient (due to the rather inefficient torque converter) but improvements made in other aspects, so you aren't giving up too much efficiency but whole lot more reliable.

�

Price. Better technology = more expensive.�

Confirmed jdm don't bring in hybrid. Checked them out already.
Wanna ask bro/sis here driving the hybrid version. Any issue with the dual clutch set under very hot and humid weather?

�

A review of the DCT in the Hybrid Z:

�

1) This DCT feels lazier than the VW DSG. It upshifts and downshifts at a leisurely pace. Probably programmed for longevity.

�

2) The DCT works even when in full EV (electric motor on, engine fully off) mode! Kind of jarring especially pulling up slope in EV as the gear will downshift and slightly jerky.�

�

3) The DCT wants to upshift as soon as possible. Looking at my RPM meter, it tends to shift up gear before 2000rpm. In Sports Mode, it drags all the way to 5000 rpm before shifting. Me Like!

�

4) When driven using the paddle shift, the DCT downshifts very fast, as fast as the VW DSGs. Quite addictive and fun!

Hello people. I really like the design and build of Vezel but for the current price of the vezel, I can easily consider the so called uncle AD toyota altis, which I find it still not that bad. Size of both car are likely the same but toyota is slightly bigger(correct me if I'm wrong). Could you guys give some comment of these 2 cars? Advantage and disadvantage of both cars. Thanks

I believe Altis will have better sound insulation. But this is not a too difficult items to be done outside for the Vezel after collection of car.

I beg to differ. Tried the new altis as well and insulation wise not better. There is a perception that vezel is noisier but that may be due to the bare boot. Altis is a sedan. If you cover the vezel boot up with either a hard tonneau or perhaps the spare tyre trunk, you will notice a considerable reduction of noise. No doubt though that vezel eng is a bit louder.

- next servicing due is 10,000km, advisable to switch to w30?

Did any bros here feel the splashing of water puddle on your floorboard during this raining period? I do find that it is quite apparent. I mean most cars would have, but my previous rides aint as obvious.
