yeah...and suso should start if Henderson cannot recover in time...hope sterling miss wun dent his confidence.

Btw Everton just lost 3-0 away to Swansea for this cup too...and is back to back lost, so they are on unleashed anger. Need to be more wary of them. Arsenal too lost to Saints at home.

BR has just DEFENDED unker[dizzy][dizzy][dizzy]to moye bad times [knife]

    http://www.theguardi...-steven-gerrard

Brendan Rodgers has defended his captain Steven Gerrard, insisting he has no concerns whatsoever over his performances this season.

    .

    .

    .

But, asked before Tuesdays Capital One Cup third-round home game against Middlesbrough whether he had any concerns about the standard of Gerrards display against West Ham, the Liverpool manager said: No concerns whatsoever, no. He is a brilliant player for us, really talented. It was a team performance overall that just wasnt quite up to scratch.

    .

    .

He added: I feel we have managed his recovery really well in the last two seasons. Even when Steven was playing international football, I think if you look at his numbers and games and minutes he has played, youll see in the last couple of seasons that it is as good as it has been in his career.

He is obviously at the age where we will look at him individually as a player. We want him to be involved in our big games because of his experiences and his talent, and well always taper that recovery for him to allow him to be at the very best he can be.

that's it guys, BR wants to achieve mid-table this season [hur]

This might be good news though. If you recall, when BR sings praises on a particular player, something will happen? [sly]

Well overall a good exposure for our young players. A valuable experience for our kids. Hope BR and team can uncover and promote 1 or 2 kids into the senior team and from them bring some spark into our weekend matches.

Uncle Stevie, well let not slant him too much. No rest in between season. I am sure he will come good in Nov, Dec. This always has been the case for Stevie in his career with Liverpool. Slow starter every season and shift into gear only on Nov onward. We need him even more after liu s departure. Tell me except Stirling who is our star player or player that the team look upon when in trouble. What BR need to do is find another position for uncle. I suggest push him up into attack and lighten his defending duty. He might be slow physically but the instinct to open up the defence and goal still there.

today's game shows that lucas is not as bad as his performances have shown. if anything, it actually showed that gerrard is the one who makes him play badly. to me he did quite well against boro, playing his own game n not b worried abt accommodating gerrard. but of cos we know rodgers wont acknowledge this n will gladly drop lucas instead of gerrard.

rossiter also did well...but i saw mostly safe balls from him. whenever he gets the ball, he will play it safe n pass to the nearest teammates. but still, he was composed n made no mistake. overall gd debut.

In England, the home of the beautiful game, plenty of clubs have been alleged victims of gypsy curses.

The most famously hexed team was Derby County, who ascribed their failure to win trophies to the fact they had expelled some Romany folk from the land where they built their old stadium, the Baseball Ground. After paying off some of the gypsies' descendants in 1946, the Rams duly won the FA Cup for the first time.

More recently, Birmingham City were widely supposed to have been victims of a hundred-year spell which expired in 2006. The Blues took it so seriously that former coach Barry Fry, an ebullient old-school manager not averse a curse or two himself, urinated in the four corners of the field after a psychic (or a charlatan having a laugh) told him it would exorcise the demons.

Leeds also had a run-in with Romany folk when Elland Road was under construction. Their great coach Don Revie employed a gypsy to spiritually cleanse the place in 1971 but unfortunately, having led the First Division for most of that season, they then ended up losing it.

Middlesbrough also evicted some travelling folk in 1901 when they built Ayresome Park and as the caravans were shunted away, ancient curses filled the Boro air.

Over in Wales, Swansea City took it all a bit too seriously when they employed Kenyan tribal dancers to perform a voodoo ceremony at their old Vetch Field ground, after the notorious Uri Geller had claimed there were evil spirits lurking there.

    :D

Must ask VG to pee in the four corners to lift the curse of SAF.

Mignolet sucks. Against a second-tier team, he only managed 1 penalty save out of a total of 15 (including the penalty at extra time but excluding the last game winner which is actually a balloon shot).

And against a poor run of clean sheets, I can't help but think that BR should seriously consider a change in the goal custodian,

We shouldn't become so poor overnight, there are many reasons
1.last year, We out score others to win since our defend leaks, now defend leaks and we score little .
    2. We played speed and counter attack , now Mario is strong but slow so no goals.
    3. New players look good only except for maniqullo
    4. Sterling now burn out and no more SAS ,so this year we are good enough for top 4 finish

For all the talk of balo being a smart footballer, he should hv played it thru to markovic. N pool doesnt hv enough body in the box everytimr they attack.

Pool hv got 7 corner...n if i remember correctly, only 1 reached a pool player. The lalana header. They truly suck in taking or defending corners.

this game is there for the taking. Both Merseyside teams are anaemic - lack of ideas, and adventure from both teams. Looking at Markovic, I rather Coutinho play.

    HT: 0-0 ...

Pool isn't really the team of last season.. somehow, players lack the cohesiveness and understanding, maybe due to influx of new players..

This season is long, so hopefully this can be overcome and we will improve

Suarez was Liverpool last season. We should have bought 2 world class strikers with that 70 or was it 75 mio pound? And not buy 6-7 crap players.

The are a few instances when lallana is clear and he just quickly cross the ball in, can't help but think if it was suarez he would cut in n bring the ball further in n nutmeg a few defenders before passing or scoring.

at least indirect free kick mah ..... defenders or players know they SHOULDN'T raise their arms in the box. It gives referees a chance to call a foul

Another chance to counter wasted. Gets the ball but nobody in everton half. N balo don seem interested to sprint forward.
Stwrling shouldnt drop back also. Since he's the only. One who has.the speed to run behimd the defence. He shouldnt need to help to defend.
