So Fuji not OEM the CVT for Honda ?I think the subaru CVT wins Honda one miles ahead.
Especially in S and S# mode, it change gear like a normal auto gear.
I recall Toyota is using CVT from Fuji.
Notice the window lock button not lited, is this the case?
For my 5K service of my FXT, spent the $210 (after DUO points deduction) for the soundproofing of the undercarriage and wheel arches, and all I can say is, it was a waste of money.

No significant difference in the road and tyre noise, maybe a little quieter on some surfaces, but in most cases, no noticable difference. Took a look, and only a very thin coating applied, think not enough to make a real difference.
Saw posting on the Forester rear camera is not mount center due to trunk handle.

Is there any parking sensor? and how owner compensate the image shown on the dash HU when parking? any tips?
Ya the rear parking cam is slightly off centre. To avoid your boot door from hitting the railing or wall at back, just reverse till the yellow guide line just touches the rail or wall and stop. I've always used this guide and my boot door opens nicely with a little space left from the obstacle at back.Saw posting on the Forester rear camera is not mount center due to trunk handle.

Parking sensor is installed by mi. But it's not accurate if u dun wan your boot door to avoid hitting railing or wall at back. Use the guide lines better.
Hi bro, I did the clasani undercarriage anti rust coating for $290 and feel that it's quite waste of money too. U did the same? Or u also did the sound dampening? On rough patches of road, it's still very noisy. Muser bro did all 3 layers of undercarriage coatings on his legacy and he feed backed got difference. For my 5K service of my FXT, spent the $210 (after DUO points deduction) for the soundproofing of the undercarriage and wheel arches, and all I can say is, it was a waste of money.

Mi will max $53,600 on bidding for me so the $3k top up is to allow MI to use for revised bidding when out bid.

he said if the COE closed at $54k mean actual amount top up is only $400.
$54,000-$53,600=$400.
is not top up $3000.

Is your SE told you the same?

When signing the SE will promise you the sky, saying that they will *always* get their customer a COE.

Now the COE is on a upswing trend they try to kiau extra money from you.

We all discuss and praise the car here, help driving up their sales. Demand higher like that, they can afford to lose some customers liao. When signing the SE will promise you the sky, saying that they will *always* get their customer a COE.

Been driving almost 2 months. Trips mainly non expressway. Only 13L/100km on readout. Pumping 95. Mix drivng on I and S mode.best fc so far (little traffic)
- constant speed of 80-90 km per hr
Agaration.. car is about half a foot to the right of the lines on HU.Saw posting on the Forester rear camera is not mount center due to trunk handle.

I recall asking if can get NA with add on electric tailgate and memory seats and the answer was no. Think its part of the selling point for XT.Anyone knows if we can top up to get an electric tailgate for the NA version during one of the regular servicing? If so, how much?

Is this met your expectations?Been driving almost 2 months. Trips mainly non expressway. Only 13L/100km on readout. Pumping 95. Mix drivng on I and S mode.
Sounds like either >90% city driving, or you have a heavy right foot.
Try Ron 98Been driving almost 2 months. Trips mainly non expressway. Only 13L/100km on readout. Pumping 95. Mix drivng on I and S mode.
I am pretty heavy footed and get the turbo working all the time still getting average 11.5 l/100... Either you really like the car too much sit inside enjoy music and AC all the time or really very bad traffic to work all the time?Been driving almost 2 months. Trips mainly non expressway. May be can get your own parts. If you open up the cosmetic panel you may find many un-connected wiring.

I read somewhere most car came with all the wiring install, you just need to get the right parts, which is the hydraulic arm, the sensor, the open/close button next to dashboard and on the tailgate,+++ etc.

I realized I will get 13 to 14L/100km when I do the following:
- Driving less than 20mins per trip
- No Highway driving, that's 100% urban.
- Idle for more than 30mins
- Hit traffic light every 1 to 2 minutes.
- heavy footed on pedal.

This kind of driving pattern only Hybrid can help save FC, but also got limit.

Maybe stay at I mode and pump RON 98 might help abit. (yes, proven RON98 give better FC and unlock all 240ps of your Forester XT)
I also asked , answer is no.

By the time that you are done, you might as well have just bought the XT model in the first place, and gotten the turbocharged motor for free.

Yah lor, totally agreed .
Mine allowed me to buy fxt because I told her she can reach her destinations faster (if given clear traffic) and also the hk sound system. My OC allowed me to buy FXT over NA was due to auto tailgate

No traffic lights, little traffic on the road, super straight road cos along the airport runway... many drivers go there for a race...

20s driver + powerful machine + super straight road + full load of passenger to boost the driver's ego = Deadly formula
Hello.. Don't start blaming the ghosts coz now we ghosts join union hoh! I complain u to NTUC then u know...Changi coastal road dunno why always got such accidents.. Pancake accidents.
Can we use our hand to push and interrupt the auto tailgate while its in operation?
Edited by Legacygts, 30 July 2016 - 02:23 PM.
Can we interrupted the auto tailgate while it is opening? Does it have a sensor that retract the tailgate when the tailgate hit a wall or roof??

Yes you can. I tried
So scrap value is value before surcharge or after surcharge?
It whines too during spirited driving but didn't experience it while cruising at 90km/hr.Can NA owners comment is the CVT whine audible when driving at 90km speed, and how about overtaking at this speed?
I might have done the NA injustice because i was driving not in the typical way.
Get the FXT, FNA is for old men like me whom used to be driving jap family sedans. Heart is too weak for such torques.
Just Collected my XT --! Loving it.

My SE Choy was the best - he read the COE and market very well - booked the car in early July at a good low price and got the COE in the first bid.

He gave good advice - advised not to get the guarenteed COE and chance the non-G 8 bid instead just before the lower COE quota

announcement. Managed to secure COE in first bid with no top up.

It pays to go with the more senior, older and wiser agents !
Yup. Met up with Choy too.
Haha. Very entertaining person and professional as well.
surcharge doesn't impact scrap value cos you pay upfront liao.Forester has cevs surcharge, but SGCM add the 5k into ARF.
So scrap value is value before surcharge or after surcharge?
Only the rebates are affected.(mazda2, vezel, we, etc) you get discount upfront then the G take back with scrap value where they will factor in cevs.
Actually it will be interesting in Subaru comes out with a 5+2 seater like the Xtrail/Sorento segment..
The +2 for Xtrial is useless. Add up extra weight only.Actually it will be interesting in Subaru comes out with a 5+2 seater like the Xtrail/Sorento segment..
Relax, yes someone misquote just correct them, donT need to suan them...I know Golf R.
I dont know what's Golf Type R.
Do you say Civic Type R or Civic R?

When I test drove the fna, I did notice that it made a little more noise when rev beyond 2k. I dun think this is the cvt whine u r referring to since fxt uses the same cvt gear box. Fxt engine sounds more refine though at all Rev range. I guess the engines have different characteristics that's y they sound different and probably not due to the cvt.Can NA owners comment is the CVT whine audible when driving at 90km speed, and how about overtaking at this speed?

The fxt is great when handling heavier loads such as heavier passengers and stuff. Fna u got tot drive more like a regular family sedan. Overtaking on the fna need a bit more patient especially u r carrying full load of passengers and stuff. U will feel the weight more compared to fxt. Fxt is just simply effortless. :)
not to say the fna is underpowered or slow, but realistically speaking say if u have 4 passengers each weighing 80kg on average and roughly 80kg of stuff in the boot. U r effectively adding 400kg of weight. Adding to the weight of fna, u r pulling close to 2 ton with 150hp and 200nm of torque. I feel it's quite a bit of a struggle. Of course if u seldom carry so much weight like me, then fna should be sufficient. :)

It doesn't matter how powerful the car must be inorder to justify carry passenger, as if it does, Vezel and 1.2LQQ or < 1.6L cc sedan can pack their luggage and go home.
Just treat the NA as similar performance as other 2L SUV e.g. X-trail, Harrier, 2L QQ, Tucson......
FXT is 10k more than NA. How can paying extra 13k be an apple to apple comparsion?

$10K.. Apples for apples.. Comparison.. You gotta ask fruit tart coz he owns the $10K brand..Any idea which B&B SUV does not feel inferior when compare to FXT?
