My thinking is to make man utd players like young, Valencia and mata do more defending coz by nature they like to attack and defending may not be that good. And then they are occupied and can't do attacking and spend more time defending.Then Fellini has to come to midfield to help out.

Sterling and sturridge need to go wide when needed to stretch and make the man utd central defenders follow them wide. Which will allow Coutinho and Anderson attack from midfield and exploit the gap.

to clarify, DS should track bk to midfield since we have speedy players to support the counter-attack in the event if he gets the ball, and uses the opportunity to release them. just felt him too static at times to pressure the defenders, esp in the first half.

A game where many thought pool will do well started off very poorly. Rodgers had the wrong setup n lvg got it spot on. Giving a team like man u the confidence will surely b made to pay.

Ended the half quite well n wanted to start the 2nd on the same foot. Too bad capt old man had different ideas. But still they played well with 10 men n another nap time by moreno let mata free.

pool slept in the first half and became aroused in the second. by playing with 10 players, they provided problems to utd less the killer penetration to the opposing net. was utd comfortable in the 2nd half? no, they were not. so it bodes well for pool if we do ever get the players to wake up at the first min till the end.�Moreno shld be more of a impact sub as his speed and hunger will be much better when the game wears on.

Sakho together with Henderson, Can are captain material. Lucas too but I doubt he will get the chance. Lallana was Southampton captain but he is not guarantee starting 11 so also no chance.

In the long run playing with a proper back 4 is the right way to go. Can has to play in midfield.

In such an important match, we can only see the naive tactics by BR...

In such an important match, SG has only himself to blame for getting red and letting the whole team down in just a few secs after coming on...

What can we learn....
SG will be gone next season, we thank him for his past contributions, but most importantly we thank him that the team can finally grow and glow without his burden ....

Now, the tricky part is BR...
In the first half of season, he got us into disasters, and then with a 13 matches unbeaten, he said he turned the season back... Well, this is just we paid him to do, nothing great...
I really doubt FSG will change him unless we lose every match from now on....

i agree on this. I tink i hv said it a few times here, sterling as wingback is such a waste. His attacking prowess is held back, while he cant defend. Double negative.
