My SE compliment me say your knowledge is pretty good as he has many customers don't know what is CEVS.

Using credit card for deposit is a good initiative and is welcomed. The only con to the dealer is the associated administrative cost involved.

The other important factor is the ability for the dealer to deliver the car within a reasonable time frame :)

If u r referring to exodus, I only paid 10k deposit and via credit card. none of the PI i visited allowed me to pay via CC.
Accessories n price wise I think its quite good leh...compared to 3 other big PI that I visited. maybe because I booked during their 5 year anniversary promotion...not sure and dont really care as I have signed.

My deposit 10k also via cc. In fact it was my PI (TLC CARS) who intro & recommended me, standing on my POV, that i can gain rebate or points from various cc.. Above that, he also accept more than 1-cc if customer has cc limit for some reasons..

Sorry guys, i think i may have blabbered a bit too much given my over-enthusiasm to share info. It was based on my observations at their showroom and some info here and there. Please allow me to swallow back my own words on that and everyone can take it as an open lie. Privacy is right, just read for pleasure, like reading a magazine,only 70% truth, kudos Privacy. [nod]

On the business side of things however, there r many costs vs value, and primary + secondary income streams to any business, be it importer or dealer. If the company can't manage it's costs well, regardless of size, race or religion, can also easily be insolvent in a blink of an eye. [smash]

On the bright side of things, sorry dealers, some bros have personally feedback that they benefitted from my sharing and the bridging of information gap they had especially when facing PIs and dealers for the 1st time. They have gotten very good packages that suited their unique situations. [:p] � This in general shows that there is always much room for negotiations when done properly and with the right persons. On the same note, I fully agree with Vantive bro that end of the day, delivering the car is very important. [laugh]

However after understanding more on the Volks Auto case, i am of the perspective now that car delivery is ranked no. 2 in importance. Number 1 on my list is the time frame and level of exposure to financial risk that we allow ourselves to get into. [speechless]

I have asked myself recently these 2 main questions:-

1) Based on what circumstance or logic must we pay hefty deposits when the car has not even reached SG shores and no definitive chassis number has been allocated to the buyer. Buying paper?

2) Why can't i pay up in full cash, or whatever modes of transactions preferred to get rebates and points, the $10000 COE deposit only when my dealer decides to start bidding?Isn't this fair?

As of now the industry practice is still leaning towards the side of the sellers, that once a deal is locked in, the party that can easily get away scott free with financial gains is the seller. [angel]

What i personally prefer actually is...

A) Sign agreement that is contractually binding

(gentlemen's agreement with 7-14days cooling period...note that we are buying a 6-figure sum vehicle, even 4 figure sum insurance has cooling period, why not this? makes sense?)

B) Pay an arbitrary amount of $0-$5000 only to lock in endorsed T&C & to out of sincerity, to cover dealer's committed costs on accessories procurement & installations, despite the fact that the car is not even in SG yet.

C)Submit an in-principle loan application to lock in loan interest rates, and to prove buyer's financial credibility

D)Pay 10k COE deposit if dealer is bidding for buyer 1 day b4 bidding starts (in which buyer can check via IC that their bid was submitted or not)

E)Assuming COE bidded successfully, wait wait wait, car reaches SG shores, clear customs, testing testing etc etc etc, chassis number attained, input into SA immediately and endorse.

F) Wait somemore.......

G)Car reaches showroom; concurrently finalize on loan submission

H)Dealer sends car for accessories installations, touch up etc etc etc

I) 1 day b4 registration, or day of registration, buyer ensures balance downpayment reaches seller's account, while e-asset transfer is done face to face ( i wouldn't mind taking leave to witness that "yi shou jiao qian, yi shou jiao huo")

J) Sign Sealed Delivered

**The above A to J steps seems tedious when being typed or read out, as pple call it "leh cheh" however when it is acted out, it is actually very fast. Additionally, for a 6-figure committed sum, if we dun handle it meticulously for our ownselves, i think sumtingwong alredy.

We can only wish to see more and more dealers & PIs who genuinely have the financial credibility to follow such protocols, apart from marketing, to ensure an as-fair-as-possible transaction.�

I opened up the entire compartment in the boot for Vezel model S and confirm that there is no compartment to put spare tyre.

my white Vezel X is registered! Collection Tomorrow. SE actually committed to collect yesterday and was able to do so but I was busy these few days so unable to do so. All in all good service from them and they can stick to their promises. Will update again when I collect the car tomorrow.

yes bro,IMO yes. The tinting is more for colour and blocking of visible light. Protection is minimal. When it comes to solar films,my aim is to get max allowable UV protection as well as INFRARED protection (IR is what causes ur car to heat up like crazy in the weather these days).

So when my ride came,all panels had different degrees of tinting but not max allowable protection. My service provider gave me 3 different grades of films for each panel to get e max allowable protection while still within LTA's visible light tolerance levels

i would not dare strongly recommend because, as far as i am concerned my experience with him is pleasant with good workmanship, while others' review were nt so pleasant... perhaps it would serve as a good reference for you to do your research and window shopping. Price wise, to me is extremely competitive. I went to him also becos i saw the work done on my friend's ride.

for engine oil, yes w30 is highly recommended. If i am not wrong, for X & S, the manual states to use w20 oil within the ambient temperature range of -40C to 40C.

I doubt your SE will supply engine oil, but you may wanna ask him for the servicing price w or w/o gst for oil change, filter change and labour.

�

Personally i buy my own engine oil and filter, i just pay labour.

�

There has been resistance by workshops as feedback by many to not pour w30 and instead use their recommended w40. Still a big debate why is this so, but the most likely reason IMO, is abt costs. It is business logic to pour my lowest cost engine oil (EO) while charging the highest reasonable price.

Make them state the delivery date in your sales agreement, possibly adding a refund clause if car is not delivered by that date.

Agreed with bro Rationalexuberance. I am driving X model. My first 1k servicing WS used 5w40. They do not have w30 & they strongly recommend w40. My FC was about 15.5-15.9 km/l.

My second servicing (5k), I brought my own 5w30, LQ. FC became 17km/l, quieter & more responsive engine. SE do not provide EO.

Do join us in our Facebook. We are also organizing to install tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), which I think a "must" have as we do not have spare tyre and a vezel gathering on 29 mar.

Dealers will be faced with big dilemna. After previous previous 57k closing, they sold 2,4 or 6 bids deals to buyers with cap, if they dun psycho their buyers to top up in the next 2 biddings, they cant sell their cars to make way for new inventory. Car body prices have dropped already. Cut throat pricing on the way...can see already. From 51-53k car body prices in Dec/Jan to 48-50k last month, now we are seeing 45-46k for $ to $ COE criteria, and about 47-48k for 1mth guaranteed no top up deals.

Add the above pricing to accessories package that are getting more yummy, payment criteria easing, margins are easing. Still have the big importers yaya papaya with snobbish deals that are like "take it or leave it" but they rich and have dealers to absorb cars from them, so..ok then. I hope new buyers put in effort look ard more. It's so nice to see more and more pple joining the Vezel family. This car is just the right choice!!

Agreed with bro Rationalexuberance. I am driving X model. My first 1k servicing WS used 5w40. They do not have w30 & they strongly recommend w40. My FC was about 15.5-15.9 km/l.

My second servicing (5k), I brought my own 5w30, LQ. FC became 17km/l, quieter & more responsive engine. SE do not provide EO.

Do join us in our Facebook. We are also organizing to install tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), which I think a "must" have as we do not have spare tyre and a vezel gathering on 29 mar.

Bro, I am surprise myself. My first tank after LQ w30 servicing, I hit 17.3pm/l. I thought got mistake. But 2nd tank hit 17km/l. I think I am one of the slow tortoise on the road. U sure cannot tahan following me.

Oh ... one more thing. After my 2nd servicing I went to M'sia and zua on the NSHW. Maybe this makes the engine more smooth.

Agreed with bro Rationalexuberance. I am driving X model. My first 1k servicing WS used 5w40. They do not have w30 & they strongly recommend w40. My FC was about 15.5-15.9 km/l.

My second servicing (5k), I brought my own 5w30, LQ. FC became 17km/l, quieter & more responsive engine. SE do not provide EO.

Do join us in our Facebook. We are also organizing to install tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), which I think a "must" have as we do not have spare tyre and a vezel gathering on 29 mar.

Bro, coe means top up required if coe above 61?

yes bro. its not guaranteed COE. its more fair for u as u would hv a choice to get back a rebate if it fall. 1 bid guaranteed does not mean u will get the COE. only if they quote NO TOP UP in the sales contract, than only u dont hv to top up but than u dont get a rebate. the no top up only works best for ppl who urgently need the car asap (eg: scrapping car in 1mth) and also depending if the PI has ready stock (vicom n vitas approved car )

if all those u dont need, than my best advice is go for the rebate scheme. more to ur benefit than the company. coz most company knows that the COE does not shoot up too high all the time (based on stats) so they got more to benefit. ask urself this question: if someone takes the 1 bid guaranteed COE without TOP UP and the Current COE is at $61410, and the next bid it shoots up to $75000, DO U THINK THE PI WILL HONOUR THEIR WORD N GV U THE CAR??? N ABSORB ALL THE LOSSES???

For bros who have booked or received their cars from Leco Prestige, how much initial deposit did you guys need to pay the PI?

Went down today and was told that an initial deposit of $20k is required, although some other PIs only require $10k as an initial deposit.

�

And don't mind share with me some of the freebies that Leco Prestige throw in for Vezel X?

I currently have a Garmin GPS, so a built-in GPS is optional but would be pretty cool to have. I can't rely on those GPS modules that mirror with my phone's Google Map either because my Android phone just keeps saying "Searching for GPS", all the way until I've reach my destination [bigcry]

Bro, try to nego your dp to your comfortable level.

You can always look elsewhere that suites you if both of you cannot agree on the terms.

There are abundance of PI out there. Do not rush.

Take you time to evaluate which are the important things that you can/cannot have.

Be rational, you cannot always get all that you want.

Is this possible? If i want the HU without switching on the engine then yes lah. Just press the push start twice.

You will not regret having it if your HU is pioneer. The gps module is rather easy to use. In fact, I have a garmin too but I give up using it as not easy to use without the postal code.

Pioneer is more user friendly and marketed quite fiercely as compared to the other brands, that's why it is more popular.

but my first choice is still alpine, due to a better built-in processor.
