Hi Guys, today went for first 1K service. After reading you guys saying about the EO which the workshop say they normally use 40W EO But I insist on Using 30W As recommend fellow vezel Driver. In the end was told to Top Up $40 from $150 to $$190( not including GST).image.jpg

Just did my 1K servicing today too using OWS 5W30. WS keep asking me to use W40 and telling me due to the hot weather, should use W40 instead! But I insisted that I want to use W30 instead. Then continue to tell me that should change to W40 at 30-40K servicing. I told them I simply follow the instruction stated in the Manual. And after reading so much information from this forum, W30 is the only choice! Thank you for all the information shared by experts here! Definitely a great help to aid in the decision making! Really learnt a lots from all Vezel Bro & Sis!

My WS only say that 0 is more for winter and 10 doesn't affect much. I am also not sure too.

I test drive the QQ1.2 ... Car look bigger than Vezel, pickup seems decent, insulation not bad, but a tad pricy at 117k. Look wise, Vezel tugs at my heart string, Ok at my pocket as compared to QQ.
QQ is aluminum engine block, weighs 1.2ton ! not sure if Vezel is it aluminun engine block too as the sales chap cannot ans me... :-) I am thinking of booking one soon but not sure if right timing as perception wise mkt seem strong promptish but weak down the road... Then again, who can tell ??

Vezel also 1200kg.

Sounds very expensive for a 1k servicing when all it involves norm check and change of EO and filter.

$190 excluding gst for a jap car consider ex...

Well for sure if I have a choice, I sure go for a DOHC / twin cam. Some don't bother / matter and some does. It the same like would you choose a timing chain engine or timing belt cam driven engine?�

Wouldn't it be better to use the nav app in the phone and cast the screen to the HU than to use a separate GPS module which is cumbersome when it comes to software updates? My 2cents �

SOHC may be juuuust slightly faster on the pick up than DOHC because less weight less drag and less inertia to fight b4 moving off.

But for cruising and more torquey overtaking,DOHC would be superior. Read an article on this 2 yrs back. Rememberes bits n pieces to share here.

Minimum loan quantum differ from dealers to dealers. But bear in mind the "discount" you get is only a fraction of the additional financing cost you incur.

Selling your car directly will usually fetch you the highest price. Next up will the the Quotz option offered by sgcarmart. But if you insist of trading in (like most people do), then just focus on the difference you have to pay. As in new car price less old car price. Don't waste time haggling for the new car and then find out that your old car is traded in at a even lower price.

Freebies are not free. The one time I bought from PI, I requested for price without any accessories. Not even steel rims. Just your standard kosong model. This way, I can compare apple to apple. And the stuffs they throw in are mostly sub standard and not exactly what I want anyway.

Just a quick check with someone selling cars few days back. It is going for around $113,000 currently.

The interior is really nice and stands out from the rest in its field. As for performance, well vezel is not that much more powerful but more importantly QQ has higher torque and kicks in much earlier due to the turbo. And of course you will pay lower road tax due to 1.2L.

It's a good $15k more than what PI offering for a MIJ model compared to the HRV Thai made.

Below $10k maybe more acceptable I feel and I suspect some of the specs and accessories are not up to the Vezel offerings??

I love the QQ...frm the interior to the exterior....bt bear in mind its a renault engine... if nt for the price difference of 10k..I will definitely buy the qq...

If I am not mistaken, most manufacturers will be using aluminum for casting engine blocks, as it is lighter than steel, corrosion-resistant, castability, comparable strength, and higher thermal conductivity etc...but then again, i could be wrong...

For the price wise, lowest in mkt i searched is 104888 with t&c, likely full allowable loan max tenue.

That's for X model.

1-2mths back S model was a modest 3k higher in price than X model. Which IMO is fair, 1500 for the added rims, rims and accessories which again IMO are value for money, and another 1500 is ARF paid, assuming OMV not above 20k.

i.e IMO the right lowest price with simple maths is 107888 give or 1-2k.

I think 10w refers to the viscosity tested at 10 deg C, with "w" denoting winter conditions. So at that rating, the oil is graded as SAE 10. And 30 will be the SAE 30 grade at 100 deg C.

Having said that, given our all-year ambient tropical temperature of twenty-plus, I should think that the 10w rating will have minimal effect during cold start. Any bros/sis can confirm?

It's a good $15k more than what PI offering for a MIJ model compared to the HRV Thai made.

Just did my 1K servicing today too using OWS 5W30. WS keep asking me to use W40 and telling me due to the hot weather, should use W40 instead! But I insisted that I want to use W30 instead. Then continue to tell me that should change to W40 at 30-40K servicing. I told them I simply follow the instruction stated in the Manual. And after reading so much information from this forum, W30 is the only choice! Thank you for all the information shared by experts here! Definitely a great help to aid in the decision making! Really learnt a lots from all Vezel Bro & Sis!

Wah, at least your WS has 5W30....I did my ist 1k last Sat and they have different brands and packages. I thought they will use the mineral oil till the next service but was told they straight away use synthethic. I would have bought my own if I knew, but then again, I should have asked! The only weight 30 grade they have was OWS and I was like..hosey liao! But they say dun have stock....LL boh bian try OWS 5w 40.

compare City & Jazz RS.

Both similar curbweight �(52kg diff), same tyre size. same CVT.

Once is 18.9 / L, the CIty is 17.5 per litre.

But former 98 recc, later 95 recc....

I don't think it's the Honda logo, if not cannot explain why a significantly superior Vezel (also with the Honda logo) is about 20k cheaper? More like you are paying for the 'Kah Motors the Power of Dreams' number plate. Nothing against KM, but there are still alot of people willing to pay the extra money for an AD peace of mind.�

Yah their pricing strategy really worth doing some research on, but my own guess is that with the market now moving towards more SUV/cross-over type of vehicles, and seeing how TC prices its QQ at the 120k range, KM is also pricing it at that range as a starting position.

Might also be a move to try and push sales of other cars like Civic, City and Jazz which now seem like better alternatives, as potential buyers will feel that Civic seems like a better, more value-for-money ride. Haha purely my 2 cents.

guess what bro..OT nvm,wanna share my story.

The time i chanced upon vezel,was when i went KM to consider a small family car. My CU2 was totally not ideal,rear passenager seating leg space was cramp..surprisingly..given the car looks so long and big..but its all abt intuitive design (which btw toyota needs serious improvements on)

Looked at Odyssey,too big,expensive,not fun to drive for now,but very very good and pleasing(definitely get it with 3kids or more) Looked at CRV, good size,high cc as CU2 so no savings,everything else good,but rather keep CU2. Next was the Jazz 1.5. Extremely lovely,utilitarian,frugal,but for the price point,not worth.

So initially was buting on the point of Jazz to change my wife's '06 Liana HB. Guess what,the sales exec whispered,if u really like the jazz then might as well get the Vezel. At that point in time i had no idea what the Vezel looked like..suaku.

The SE took pictures from contacts and showed me..wow...
that was the start of my Vezel research journey and final result of getting the Hybrid after a couple of test drives. And a mth of solid numbers crunching(excel spreadsheet the whole works) and tech research.

I gave the SE a chance becos she was really being very honest and serving my needs rather than push for.big comm. But when i contacted her saying i wanna buy the vezel,send me her contacts. zero reply till now. so sayang. If i'm a PI i sure hitmre this SE when KM sales CMI and they start leaving.

1 more thing, though price list is till 4 march, indicated as CEV 5k (HR-V). �Similar to Mobilio.

Unsure why City with same engine can get 10k. �Maybe its the way the engine/ECU is tuned.

If I may add and with all due respect to the women drivers, that theory of buying car B is correct cos if women says the car is big and you still insist on buying, likelihood of scratching the car due to poor judgment is very high!! So be warned!!

Agreed bro...which is why I will never buy a car if the premium over the cost price is too high. Mazda 3 similar like altis was rather high then. A year ago when coe was at 62k as well saw mazda 3 at 106k only. Imagine it went up to 120plus k in a years time, and within 2 months now drop to below 106k. I felt the heartache for those who cheong to buy mazda 3 and alti despite such a huge price increase. No offence but i would feel the heartache. Their next round pf heartache will be when they trade in their rides. Though it is pegged to market rate but dealers will definitely use the lowest to quote.

haha i already test drove both the hybrid (thanks to a bro here) and the S model but still able to tahan.. haha.. i am very ngiao with my $$.. lol.. also still cannot make up my mind on the choice of cars.. vezel, qashqai or harrier... lol.

Just thinking aloud. 8650BT would link to your phone (IOS for Andriod) quite easily. Wouldn't it be better to use the nav app in the phone and cast the screen to the HU than to use a separate GPS module which is cumbersome when it comes to software updates? In addition, instead of the GPS module, you could ask for other freebies.�

Confirmed that only 8650BT will allow you to link to IOS using only Apple Map. Other model do not support Carplay.

Just did my 1K servicing today too using OWS 5W30. WS keep asking me to use W40 and telling me due to the hot weather, should use W40 instead! But I insisted that I want to use W30 instead. Then continue to tell me that should change to W40 at 30-40K servicing. I told them I simply follow the instruction stated in the Manual. And after reading so much information from this forum, W30 is the only choice! Thank you for all the information shared by experts here! Definitely a great help to aid in the decision making! Really learnt a lots from all Vezel Bro & Sis!

1st logical choice is to use till her car coe expires as the depre is negligible by today's standards

2nd circumstantial choice is to ascertain highly possible mkt value or trade in value of existing ride above paper value. And if by any stroke of luck, COE drops again..more than the drop in revalued trade in price of old car then it makes sense.

Yes, I did at World Auto. I called them to check on their W30 stock and was told stock just came in. If not, I will buy my own W30 EO and bring along. I have change to synthetic OWS 5W30. The ride is pretty smooth and engine noise has reduced after servicing.

I don't think it's the Honda logo, if not cannot explain why a significantly superior Vezel (also with the Honda logo) is about 20k cheaper? More like you are paying for the 'Kah Motors the Power of Dreams' number plate. Nothing against KM, but there are still alot of people willing to pay the extra money for an AD peace of mind.�

i checked that X & Z Hybrid dun differ as much as Z and X cvt.

Do note that hybrid engine oil is recommended to use w20 viscosity. dun kena the mechanic trap of false recommendations. manufacturer specs i feel shud be trusted over WS mechanic's gut feel w30 is fine too. AD workshops alike..they do not know better all the time.

Minimum loan quantum differ from dealers to dealers. But bear in mind the "discount" you get is only a fraction of the additional financing cost you incur.

Selling your car directly will usually fetch you the highest price. Next up will the the Quotz option offered by sgcarmart. But if you insist of trading in (like most people do), then just focus on the difference you have to pay. As in new car price less old car price. Don't waste time haggling for the new car and then find out that your old car is traded in at a even lower price.

Freebies are not free. The one time I bought from PI, I requested for price without any accessories. Not even steel rims. Just your standard kosong model. This way, I can compare apple to apple. And the stuffs they throw in are mostly sub standard and not exactly what I want anyway.

Just a quick check with someone selling cars few days back. It is going for around $113,000 currently.

hi bro,i dun dare say is great and is not really my lobang,i just trying to collate real detailed packages confirmed by other friens n forumers to share for cross ref n throw in my own opinion as well. Lobang is by the PI haha..PM u bro..standby for info bombardment!

**pls note that after every bidding,deals can change 180degrees. eg..S model from a mere 3k above X model become 5k or more..unless SE can prove legitimate reasons with evidence of whatever claims they may have,3k is the max u shud go.

**latest i heard..."For blue colour u need to top up 1k..."
