for those potential buyers lurking around; i went to san hup bee yesterday, they quoted me 114800 for Vezel X, 118800 for Vezel S. 2 coe bid guarantee.

due to new addition of the family, still doing my calculations whether i can afford a car now. Currently driving civic which i lose below 6k pa, compared to close to 11k pa for vezel, or many other japanese cars.�

I dont think vezel n civic is so much different in space to warrant a 100% increase in your depreciation. Just keep your civic if its working fine. haha

That is assuming u do not trade in and sell direct. I find that the trade in price given by the PI is ridiculously low.

Agree totally, helping a friend now or 2 , suggest to them deal direct via consignment, so far much higher offers on their cars, glad that they r happy with it. Fingers crossed, hope they can deal and sell off asap in this coming week.

yes bro. its not guaranteed COE. its more fair for u as u would hv a choice to get back a rebate if it fall. 1 bid guaranteed does not mean u will get the COE. only if they quote NO TOP UP in the sales contract, than only u dont hv to top up but than u dont get a rebate. the no top up only works best for ppl who urgently need the car asap (eg: scrapping car in 1mth) and also depending if the PI has ready stock (vicom n vitas approved car )

if all those u dont need, than my best advice is go for the rebate scheme. more to ur benefit than the company. coz most company knows that the COE does not shoot up too high all the time (based on stats) so they got more to benefit. ask urself this question: if someone takes the 1 bid guaranteed COE without TOP UP and the Current COE is at $61410, and the next bid it shoots up to $75000, DO U THINK THE PI WILL HONOUR THEIR WORD N GV U THE CAR??? N ABSORB ALL THE LOSSES???

but if u take the rebate scheme, if after 4 or 6 bids( wateva is on the contract) n the COE shoots up like tat, u will have the opportunity to withdraw n get back a full refund..But realistically, how many time it has shot up to such extent ??? most of the time the drop is more significant that the rise..

You will not regret having it if your HU is pioneer. The gps module is rather easy to use. In fact, I have a garmin too but I give up using it as not easy to use without the postal code.

If the top up for HU is that high then just take the what ever HU provided and later trade in for the model that you like. no choice.

no matter what they should provide a HU. It is a standard for all car.

I bought from them. Disclaimer. I know the boss Eric for several years. Bought a few cars from him before. So far always deliver upon promise. They have their own workshop by the way, which was another upz for me as I do not like 3rd party ws.

Before booking, promise to give approved windows solar film, pioneer Hu with gps, leather seat n door wrapping...

While I'm went to choose the leather color, he told me that the windows is tinted, don't need solar film; leather seat only black n grey is free, to add one more color, each seat to top up $70 (I'm not sure is this market practice), n pioneer Hu now need to top up...

bro, did all those freebies written down on your sales agreement when you sign on the dotted line? Vroom Vroom is rite, 2650BT is the basic model HU for Vezel, and if u want to upgrade then need to pay extra.

i heard from my PI that there are really some PI who does that, once your ride here, they will start to get ready their knives and cut you like carrot, adding $$$ to this and that.

that's why we have been telling buyers no matter how small, to write it in the Sales Agreement.

I know some new buyer are excited and overwhelmed with too many details (to take care).

The 3 cars were in our consideration as well but through elimination we ended up with Vezel.

�

Reason for eliminating Altis - Not much of a headroom for rear passengers and as my wife is seated at the back with the kids, limited headroom sure eliminate.

�

Reason for eliminating Wish- Our family profile is 5 pax but we figured out a big enough 5 seaters can still sit 6 (4 at the back) and there is no need to go with a MPV (since most of the time only 1 person is driving to work) which means higher running cost ( higher road tax, FC )�

�

There is no right or wrong here. You need to know what are high on your priority list.

that's why we have been telling buyers no matter how small, to write it in the Sales Agreement.

I know some new buyer are excited and overwhelmed with too many details (to take care).

This is not something to rush. so pls take it slowly and understand fully (�what you are into).

If I am not wrong, Wish has more power (1.8) and is rather torquey at move off. FC is also about 14 kml I gathered.

I am not sure if any brothers can accommodate, I would like to sit in the back of Vezel to determine if the ride comfort is there or not (torsion beam).

The 3 cars were in our consideration as well but through elimination we ended up with Vezel.

Reason for eliminating Altis - Not much of a headroom for rear passengers and as my wife is seated at the back with the kids, limited headroom sure eliminate.

Reason for eliminating Wish- Our family profile is 5 pax but we figured out a big enough 5 seaters can still sit 6 (4 at the back) and there is no need to go with a MPV (since most of the time only 1 person is driving to work) which means higher running cost ( higher road tax, FC )�

There is no right or wrong here. You need to know what are high on your priority list.

Lucky before I sign the agreement, the freebies for the HU with GPS and some other stuff were written down without me prompting my SE.

Honestly nowadays competition is stiff even for PI and I believe none of them wish to gain a bad reputation for false promises especially online.

from a sales tactic perspective, it is easier for PI to tell you COE is heading north and to pressurize you to take the deal laid out immediately then to use the opposite strategy of COE is heading south, then, you would be asking, how low should it go before we commit :)

IMO v high price bro..went with a fren last week speak to SE. Stinge like crazy on accessories package n high price with current model. Asked a bit n walked away. just to share our experience

1. Altis has better comfort, heard the rear torsion beam suspension on the Vezel is not good. True?

2. Altis has better resale value

3. Altis is back up by AD

4. Altis perceived to be more reliable

�
1. Altis FC is poor compared to Vezel

2. Altis is uncle looking car though current model is much improved

Not sure if it would come factory made, but it seems that Steering Audio Control has become a very standard add-on that dealers will put on for customers at their own costs.�

Usually, and this happens even for ADs, imported cars are ordered as bare minimum as possible to keep the OMV low and hence ARF low too, so overall costs to importer and customer will be competitive. Then the add-ons will be fitted here locally.

�

Wow how u know so much huh?? $122k at August 2014?? The cat B Coe back then was $68k and $72k. Good price for a hybrid..

for me..harrier.not as fun to drive..big suv but seating space is only slightly roomier and a much bigger boot. no magic folding seats. i love it for the looks and super suave interior but not logical for me.

vezel of course,bought alredy.

love the QQ as well,if possible wud be my wife's nxt car. but hor,i also follow qashqai chatroom..some of the feedback on quality of build, and the realtime tune down of engine during 90deg turns for the 1.2T is not maintaining my liking for the car lately. wanna look for a substitute....haha..another vezel?!

heehee..my hunger for info made me find kangtao for cheaper Hybrid Batteries in sg,mayb even source in MY or work with stockist to ship in.
I know one big workshop in sg bring in hybrid battery recon equipment,claiming it to be 80k worth of equipment,duno how true,the WS SE told me. Becos hybrid batteries are made to last longer than the car,it's becos their charge becomes imbalanced after usage,especially start stop and long idles (long idling with aircon and hanky panky with gf) will kill ur battery fast.

But essentially the whole battery pack does not "spoil";during recon they will check n test each individual cell in the pack to ascertain if there r any single cell unit requires replacement,if no need to replace then they juat need to follow certain protocol to cycle the battery to.balance it back and gain anywhere from 80pct to 98pct efficiency as compared to brand new. If this recon technology is available in SG,recon will cost mayb ard 500bucks every 5 yrs and if kiasu like me,3yrs..cost is low if no replacement required. Even if need to replace some cells,it wud be in high thousands. There is no need to replace the whole battery pack. The workshop that takes in ur "spoilt" battery pack and sells u a new one happily can recon it himself and sell as used 9/10 condition to the next person on a budget

I think whether or not the car comes with the audio steering control must be discussed and written on contract before u sign it, if not PI will play such tactics.

The QQ is a very nice looking car too and has good road presence. It will make you take a second look at it hehe.

My PI never bring in Hybrid version of Honda Vezel but he told me the cost of the Hybrid battery is about $5000 SGD and most probably has to change at the 5 years mark.

Maybe the profit margin is not too high for the Hybrid and I just take the boss's words as hearsay hahaha even though I also like the Hybrid for it's pickup ability, :)

I am shocked buyers are still considering Vezel with a questionable warranty only available from PIs when there are better value for money options out there with 5 yr AD warranty which are bigger than the Vezel. Must be the die hard blinded Honda badge lovers. Sorry for my abruptness and frankness. I AM INDEED SHOCKED.

The 3 cars were in our consideration as well but through elimination we ended up with Vezel.

Reason for eliminating Altis - Not much of a headroom for rear passengers and as my wife is seated at the back with the kids, limited headroom sure eliminate.

Reason for eliminating Wish- Our family profile is 5 pax but we figured out a big enough 5 seaters can still sit 6 (4 at the back) and there is no need to go with a MPV (since most of the time only 1 person is driving to work) which means higher running cost ( higher road tax, FC )�

IMO, there maybe implication to overload vehicle with passengers.

In the original vehicle registration, it does state the number of passengers permitted, this should also be translated for Insurance.

Thus, in the event of an accident, on the assumption that is no bodily harm, thus no need for insurance claims, one may be able to get away with such an overload.

However, should there be medical claims involved, I bet there would be implications that may result in exclusions of liability by insurer.

Having 3 person at the second row will be max IMO. anything more than that you will get a ticket from TP if it is not your day.

harrier 20k above my hybrid price wor, too chor for me. And doesn't drive as well as sports hybrid, i rate high for performance of car. Nevertheless harrier is also a great JDM car!

However, being a practical person, I find it difficult to justify the 35-40% difference over Vezel (at least at this point in time) Maybe when I next change my car in 10 years, and if I decide that YOLO and a bigger car would make me die a happier man, I might just buy a Harrier. From a daily usage point of view, Vezel should have quite a decent running cost, and its smaller profile is justified by the smaller impact on your wallet too.�
