my coe rebate is cap at 60k but my PI was unable to secure a coe for me last month second bidding exercise at 57199 ,i worry that coe go up next few round and i will not get any rebates.

Bro, something fishy. I suspect your PI did not even enter bid for you.
i check thru LTA website they did bid for me but out bidded by a few hundred dollars.
Hello Bros. For those who bought the S version, please kindly PM me. I like to know the key difference between S & Hydrid / S &X.
My understanding not all PI willing to bring in S. Thanks.
hi, s model got heater seat, roof rails, paddle shift, 17 rims, stainless steel sport pedal, combi seat, body lower garnish.

Your PI is quite interesting. Your rebate is 60K, meaning that you get some money if the eventual COE goes below 60K. So your PI should bid close to the rebate value so that they can earn more. Instead they bid lower. Could it be the case where they intentionally bid much lower to lose the opportunity so that they can drag on a bit and hope the COE would rebound. Conspiracy theory.....huh?
hello, i can't seems to find any info here.

what is the RON requirement for the vezel and the vezel hybrid? i believe it should be stated on the owner's manual.

This is new to me.
I always thought if rebate at 60k, as long as COE price closes below 60k will surely get the bid.

Is this the norm rather than the exception?

If you paid lesser and yet can get a higher coe, why not? Rebate is not entirely a good thing. When it reaches rebate level, the dealers already get maximum profit.
Why need to top up 60? Yours don't come come with 3 free servicing? If pi paid servicing and warranty to workshop, they should give you service credit instead becos you buy your own lube.Bro, I cannot praise u enough (I need to praise 8 more people before I can send you praise).
Since my WS also do not carry w30 EO, I purchase directly fm Liqui Moly 0w30 synthetic oil for $100+. My WS charge me extra labor cost & changing of filter for $60+. Total I spend $170+ inclusive of GST for my 5K servicing. Engine become quieter, smoother and more responsive. My WS also told me the same bulls**t about Singapore climate & traffic condition that we should use w40. Frankly I really do not understand what is so difficult to get w30 EO for us.

Your PI likely want more profit :)
I just booked a blue vezel X this afternoon. Been reading thru this thread for 1 week, finally completed the 300+ pages. Feel in love with this car after checking out the fit at one of the PI showroom.
Went to test drive QQ earlier then walk over to AOL to check out the vezel.

Two words, incompetent and uneducated. Typical of most local workshops. That's why as much as possible I DIY.

Huh? 30? I remember IEnergy changing to W40 during my 1K servicing. They are appointed by PI, shouldn't they be competent or trained to know what is recommended from the manufacturer?

So what is in the manual? 0W30?

My current ride cluttered with a gps and a holder for my phone. From the front can see cables from recorder n gps. Hope my new baby will not look so messy.

Depending your previous drive, vezel can be a bit more noisy due to sound insulation and engine roar. I think the S model would be better as it has better insulation. However after driving for 3 months and using the right EO, the noise level seems to be lower.
The suspension are fine to me. Maybe they pump too high pressure.
However Minister of Home Affairs are always right. Mine instruction was to buy vezel .... lol.

harrier not exactly same value car or much better.i think good to molest the cars and test it out if possible. also depends on what u like.
i personally like a sporty powerful drive..that y i took the vezel hybrid. i also need storage space..but i give more weight to the drive and power than space thay i only occasionally need to fill.
had considered harrier too..but still less fuel efficient.

Planning to buy vezel x BTW with prime cars =)
Hi guys, quick question before I proceed to sign the dotted line - in comparison to 2014 Honda city and Toyota altis, how is the road noise for Vezel? I understand that vezel is a mini suv and tends to be noisier. Just want to know how much more.

Imho, sound level is pretty subjective. A fren's dad once complained his Lexus noisy...My old trusty Rav4 was well insulated during her infant years but became noisy as she aged. Tires played a big part on her, but got used to it lah. In my current month-old vezel is quiet if comparing with the Rav, or maybe my ears got so used it bah.... Suspension-wise, Vezel is relatively comfortable, if tires are not hard (been playing ard with rear pressure, till the guys at the petrol station kinda knows me liao).
Best is you and the Minister take a ride on Vezel and gauge
Bro, ows EO is good. Used it for all my rides in the past. Was using NA racing and uberlight. Now my PI workshop using ELF only. Sob. Not much review on ELF. Any bro here expert in EO? There is a few discussions here talking about the right EO specs to use. So should we use w40 for better protection? Or w20 as specified in the manual that is for jap use, or w30 to be in between?Just came back from doing my 5K servicing. Change EO to LQ 5W30. Best-lah. Engine noise reduce and more rev, more power.

Had another long chat with the workshop manager and he is advicing that we should be using W40 due to hot weather and start/stop road here. He can/will use W30 if customer wish but he strongly recommend that wechange to W40 when milage is around 30K-40K.

I see in his workshop, he uses OWS engine oil. Any bro use OWS EO before?

check in this link.

right now it is not open yet. since bidding exercise going to start at 1200.

usually, PI will start put in your bid on the second or third day.

on the closing day (third day) after 1600 you will know if your bid is successful.

All you need is your NRIC number to check.
You can only check but not revise because your PI will have the code for your bid. This code Is needed for revision,

No need to feel carrot lah....sign already just carry on....I believe you would have done your sums and is comfortable with the loan and price. No point comparing as there will be cheaper ones around, especially when our first class COE has mood swings like ________ !
Just enjoy the ride bro!

Agreed, there is never the best time to buy a car in this climate. While the COE has dropped some 8k over the 2 February bidding exercises, I think there will be some upward adjustment for this month given that alot of buyers entered the market after seeing the COE dip. Personally, as long as you did your due diligence and do some research, the price you paid should be the market price, probably missed out on 1 or 2 of the freebies at best.

I believe all the PIs also have to balance between giving customers a good deal, earn some decent profits, and maintain their reputation, especially after the Volks Auto saga. A couple of the PIs I went to before locking in mine were blowing hot air by telling me their pricing were the lowest, or their offer for my existing car's trade in were the best in the market. It only took a couple more quotations to find out who can offer you a better deal. Most importantly, I value the customer service of a PI alot, and so far my PI has been quite responsive and offered good service. Already looking forward to collecting the car hopefully by the end of the month, and will also be buying some accessories from Taobao soon.

By the way, for existing owners with Pioneer HUs, any comments about the various models? Mine comes with the 2650BT, and I checked with my dealer, top up of $200-300 possible for 5750BT or 8650BT, wiill probably also research more closer to car collection date.

During my time of selection for the HU, I was given a choice of 1650, 2650 and 5750BT.

I understand that the 5750BT is the latest current model and pretty user-friendly at 7 inches.

However the 8650BT is the highest end Pioneer model although it is slightly older than the 5750BT.

Maybe for my case, I may choose to go for the 8650BT (SG Car Mart retail price: $980) with add on of GPS module.

02 March 2015 - 04:59 PMBaalI was at AD. The HRV will be avail for viewing/sale around end April.
Price list is 127-132k.
Confirmed with SE its using the City's 1.5 / 120ps / 145nm / Sohc. Frankly, if its head-on with Qq 1.2T, should be ok since that is a 12.9sec car. The HRV should be within 13sec.

I don't think it's the Honda logo, if not cannot explain why a significantly superior Vezel (also with the Honda logo) is about 20k cheaper? More like you are paying for the 'Kah Motors the Power of Dreams' number plate. Nothing against KM, but there are still alot of people willing to pay the extra money for an AD peace of mind.

If so gian on the KM tagline, there is always such thing call alphabet stickers.

02 March 2015 - 07:17 PMRationalexuberanceHi all, just would like to have a short poll to gauge feedback.
Mainly for those who have no idea at all and would trust 100pct,be it AD WS or PI WS..
Who is interested in group buy of engine oil filters and high grade engine oils to defray some costs?
Asking in view of feedback that WSs either dun have higher grade oil,or manufacture stated w30 or w20 oil.
just asking,if numbers make sense then i can go talk to stockist..btw..not all WS use genuine Honda oil filters, some use replacements which are cheaper. supposed to be the same effectiveness, but i kiasu, use original better.
it wun be tonnes of savings..but higher grade oil,i kiasu, also choose to use.
Like my gd friend says to me,use high grade oil lets say even if is 50bucks more exp than mass mkt oil or gunk oil, $50/10000km = $0.005/km
**ok it wun be 50bucks more exp
savings shud be approx:
1) 30-60pct for filter
2) engine oil,abt same price as WS but w/o gst..u get higher grade w20 or w30
labour servicing charges w/o filter and oil.by WS shud be abt 50bucks only..plus gst

02 March 2015 - 09:35 PMLawrenceLee_110640 02 March 2015 - 09:44 PMKen138I test drive the QQ1.2 ... Car look bigger than Vezel, pickup seems decent, insulation not bad, but a tad pricy at 117k. Look wise, Vezel tugs at my heart string, Ok at my pocket as compared to QQ.
QQ is aluminum engine block, weighs 1.2ton ! not sure if Vezel is it aluminun engine block too as the sales chap cannot ans me... :-) I am thinking of booking one soon but not sure if right timing as perception wise mkt seem strong promptish but weak down the road... Then again, who can tell ??
02 March 2015 - 09:44 PMHVezelHi Guys, today went for first 1K service. After reading you guys saying about the EO which the workshop say they normally use 40W EO But I insist on Using 30W As recommend fellow vezel Driver. In the end was told to Top Up $40 from $150 to $$190( not including GST).
image.jpg
02 March 2015 - 09:46 PMpokadot
My installer told me the same thing.

Just thinking aloud. 8650BT would link to your phone (IOS for Andriod) quite easily. Wouldn't it be better to use the nav app in the phone and cast the screen to the HU than to use a separate GPS module which is cumbersome when it comes to software updates? In addition, instead of the GPS module, you could ask for other freebies.

Sounds very expensive for a 1k servicing when all it involves norm check and change of EO and filter.
