Yest after i parked my car with the engine still on... I walk out to check out my head lights... My wife said the dashboard says something like no key...
I do not know if the car can still drive a certain distance?

I use to drop off my kids outside their childcare with engine on. Everything just function as normal then one day I asked my wife to drive off for one round with the key in my pocket (about 2 km) and came back. Everything seem normal except no key lights and light beeping sound. My friend experienced by driving off the car (not Vezel) when the key was with his husband pocket after he drove the car to the airport for his departure, the car unable to switch on after she switch off the car. At the end she need to get the spare key to switch it on.

Not sure about distance but i went up a 4 story building afew hundred metres inside NUH while my dad drove round to the main road carpark and them big round back while the key was with me!

i experienced the Audi version..once the key is out of the car..the engine auto off.

I tot it come with immobilizer? So what is the function of the immobilizer?

If the engine is not on and someone breaks in..without the key the engine should not be able to start and drive off with the immobilizer.

    That is preety bad.

Maybe there is a reason why the engine will not cut off, could beto prevent engine stalled which could lead to accident when someone drove off without the remote key.

However, if the engine is not on or in accessory mode it will auto off in 30 or 60 mins.

hi bro, I tried getting a quote from the same place n they mentioned for vezel it is $1368 for the $1200++ package. is that what u paid?

I believe that u can bargain/ask for 10% discount ... And could be the price went up. A couple of bro did it earlier than me & paid 1200, while I paid a little bit extra.

Same thoughts. I am always concern abt rear lights. I think I will stick on some reflective sticks soon. Initially wanted to change the Honda logo to those with light but understand it is not approve.

    Anyone have any other suggestion?

    Hi everyone,

Just finished plouging through 65 forum pages (set to 50 posts per page) over the span of a few days / weeks.

I collected my Black Honda Vezel S Model on 19th December from Exodus Global and have been driving it around for slightly under 2 weeks now.

It really is a huge difference from my previous Honda Fit which I drove for 10 years. Still getting used to all the functions and technology to be honest.

A couple of questions for the more experienced drivers:

    1) My first fuel tank of petrol lasted me about 475km and I was avereaging about 13km/l - is this normal? Driving mix of expressways and minor roads. I have been driving without the green light Eco Mode on as I was told that it is automatically switched on when I start the car engine. Am I doing it right or wrong? Really wish to experience the superior fuel consumption of the car first hand.

    2) The car came with 4 front sensors and 2 rear sensors and I find that they are very sensitive, especially the right side ones. Sometimes not driving next to anything also will just continue beeping - unless it can detect the trees/plants by the road side and even water droplets when its raining. My short-term solution is to just switch off the sensor, but is there anything I can do to "fix" this? Is it even a problem (annoyance)?

    3) At traffic lights, which of the 3 options do you guys prefer to use: (a) Engine cut-off with fully-depressed foot brake and comes on again with a slight jerk when brake pedal is released OR (b) Activate electronic handbrake P while still in D mode and release it when moving off OR activate Brake Hold and press accelerator when driving off? Any pros and cons for each of these options?

    4) My package somehow did not include a car alarm (most prob my oversight for not asking for it to be included). So I do find it weird that when I walk away from the car with the keys in my pocket the engine is still running. Can any of you recommend where I can get a car alarm installed for the Vezel? Does this mean that I'll have two remotes instead of the current one used to lock and unlock the car?

    5) I know that the remote contains a traditional car key to be used in case the battery dies and cannot use the electronis method of starting the car but where on earth is the hole for the car key? I can't seem to find it or am I just blur sotong and ba jiu ta stamp?

    6) The car came with front camera installed (cheap one from Korea methinks with no screen to view the video so have to take out SD card and view on computer if anything happen). New to this as old car didn't have any camera. How many of you keep recording even when parked? Does it really drain the battery that much? How many of you also proceed to install a rear camera (not the parking one)? Is there a real need for this considering that the one who usually hit backside is at fault anyway?

    7) Any bros using bike rack for the Vezel? Which brand and model is compatible for a mini-SUV like ours?

    8) My reverse parking camera was ok for a while and then suddenly a few days ago I noticed the angle a bit different, now I can see some parts of my license plate. Did I alter the angle inadvertently when closing the boot of the car? I tried adjusting it manually but like no difference. Any advice what I may be doing wrong?

Have not done anythign to zhng the car - everything is in stock condition. Only got an IU / cashcard cover, re-used old 3M mats from old Honda Fit (fits nicely surprisingly) and got a trunk organiser. Slowly la bit by bit.

So far only spotted a few other Vezels on the road - a silver one near Woodleigh and a white one driving along CTE-AYE :)

Sorry for the lengthy post from a newbie. Really hope to learn from the more experienced ones here.

Happy New Year everyone. Cheers :)

Paint protection - go for ceramic pro 9h. My old Vios was on it for years and still looks good.

My uncle's Vezel went for it too last week and there were other one Vezel waiting and a Q50 just done up. Superb finishing.

Although pricing is slightly higher than others, its highly recommended. The boss himself is working with his other guys. Hard to see bosses' hands on personally now a days.

Can I check if you guys often get the low temperature indicator warning light on cold crank? Seems like a daily affair for me. If it goes away it should be ok right?

Anyway, I'd finally done up the car.

    1) Did ceramic pro 9H. Top 3 panel double coat, sides single coat. Hope it really can keep the etch marks caused by bird dropping off the paintwork.

    2) Front recorder wired to control by switch, either by ignition or parking mode. Rear recorder by ignition only, since I reverse park all the time.

    3) Got a contact from one of the bros here to purchase the Honda original steering control. Installed it together with a Pioneer AVH-8650BT HU, Rockford amp, GroundZero speakers and double layer STP sound proofing for front doors. Didn't tell my wife but she could tell the difference in acoustics.

Last thing on my mind are the rims. Where do you guys get yours and did the shop accept the trade-in of your original rims + tyres?

For the first week, I was a bit irritated by the stop-start at junctions, but I realise it does save some fuel (by monitoring the AVG fuel consumption) so I have persisted in using it. However, am still a little worried about the stress it puts on the starter motor and battery. Read an article shared by someone here that this mechanism can increase the number of starts from 50,000 to 500,000 in a car's lifetime.

Same thing with my reverse camera too! Can see the bottom part of my license plate now. Haha, doesn't bother me too much but would be great if someone has the fix!

Can I check if you guys often get the low temperature indicator warning light on cold crank? Seems like a daily affair for me. If it goes away it should be ok right?

I get it every day too and it stays on for about a minute every morning. Also wanted to ask if its safe to drive with the blue light on, or should we wait for it to disappear before engaging gears? So far I have been driving off but no hard acceleration until the blue light disappears.

Recent cold weather in Spore causing this? I doubt so.

Like you i am also irritated with the stop-start as the car vibrate a bit duirng the start. I only full depress the brake pad / activate the stop-start when i know there is a longer stop.

Low temperature light will turn on for about 1 mintute every morning or when engine is cold during start-up. You may wish to hold a while before you move off but is never a problem. I normally wait for 5-10 sec before moving off. Been doing this to my old car and now.

AceGT_Grooming: Its was from an AA promotion. On closer look, it says Nano ceramic resin technology paint protection coating (9H). Same as ceramic pro 9H?

Dino-Lee: Sound proofing done with Foon Audio.

Winup_22: I told the PI to deliver with no head unit and I did it elsewhere. AVH-8650 has no GPS. The idea is to link up the phone using AppRadio or use Chromecast to cast your phone's GoogleMap screen to the headunit. Still experimenting.

    Hi bro,

Its not the same as Ceramic PRO 9H for sure.

    Hi Bro,

Care to explain the difference? Is yours the only one product in Singapore? Are there china stuff pro9H going around in SG?

    Appreciate it greatly.

    Hi Bro,

I would not be able to advice on others as we exclusively use Ceramic PRO and we hold the official distributorship and internationally trained applicator certificates.

To be fair to this dedicated thread, we can chat via PM, email, mobile.

Hi guys, just to check how long do LTA need to do on the inspection? Cos was being told that car arrive but due to inspection that can't bid for the COE. THks in advance

COE and vitas application are two different things. My pi bidded for coe while waiting for vitas.

If yours is guaranteed coe package the pi should start bidding once you confirmed the deal.

Maybe bro Anzz can help to confirm this.

Fully agreed. I got my coe way before shipment arrived in SG. It is just an excuse for them to hold on to our deposit longer to earn interest and manage their cash flow problems. This is just my personal feel.

Hi bro. It was love at first sight for me as well and is my first time buying from PI. Me and my wife did had a look at Hyundai, K3, Mazda 3 & Nissan. Then chance upon vezel and the rest is history.

Yes, pls do buy from more reputable PI and choose those that are direct importers. The direct importers are/will be responsible for any recalls as well even after warranty period. Look at the list of us that have collected our rides and it will give u a fair idea which PI are at least delivering. Good luck hunting!

Thanks Dino bro. I must admit that you are one of the best contributors in this thread who made me more gian with the Vezel... [thumbsup]

Of all the good things with my lady, I must say that she does not have many pockets for me to keep small things that I may need now and then (like parking coupon).

Perhaps my good brothers and sisters could share their creative ways to store things in their vezels.

Yes, same experience on Eco mode. I want to try one tank driving with Eco mode off and see the difference in FC. Any bros tried this before?

Collected our baby with my dad on 3 Jan! Ride is smooth, had a minor issue of accidentally immobilizing the engine but was sorted out within the hour. One thing we noticed was the engine roar when picking up speed is abit intrusive but tolerable. Drove almost 150km on the first day cargo hauling as we were moving house. The space with the rear seats down is really very very big.

Oh did i mention the LED headlights and DRLs are gorgeous? They are freaaking bright to the extent that it has so much range it illuminates all 4 lanes of the E'way.

The car is a head turner no doubt, feels like driving an advertisement board. Much thanks to cartimes and Robert for the service. It was rush but everything went smoothly in the end.

    Start-stop is off.

Ah ok, so many combinations to save petrol in our rides :)

I managed to get about 17.2 km/l on my first tank, with start-stop and Eco both on - but I happened to do quite a bit of expressway driving that week. Will report as it averages out.

    Hi fellow vezel owners,

My first post in this forum and was delighted to see a Honda Vezel thread.

I collected my white Vezel late Dec 2014 anf have been loving it. A lovely ride indeed.

I am looking out for car cams so any recommendations will be appreciated.

Look forward to more interactions with you all!

It is normal and it supposed to work that way. The ECU control your throttle power output. I tested with my OBD reading on the throttle position. The torque reading is different on the same throttle position with ECO on and off.
