Saw this video on the stuff you can do on the car remote, like close/open the windows, folding the side mirrors, not sure this applies to the Vezel models available in SG. Maybe the owners can check it out and feedback...;)

I have personally tried on my Hybrid Z and can verify with 100% confidence that these tricks work. In fact, I'm using all these on an everyday basis. The 4 windows open function is fantastic when parked under the hot sun!

I've tried it on my Vezel X but it doesn't work .....

I am now able to gain full control of my Nexus 5 (running Lollipop) via Pioneer AVH-8650BT. �End result? �I can rely on smartphone navigation apps such as Google maps and no longer be plagued with map updates issues on GPS units (i.e. Garmin).

This is also the reason why I chose Pioneer 8650 over Alpine X8.

As long as the unit has AppRadio it should work. �Depending on your phone you'll either need a MHL cable or Miniport to HDMI adaptor.

�

You need to install the appradio app into your phone. Using a MHL adapter connect the HDMI and USB port to your headunit, connect the micro port of the adapter to your phone. Go to input/output settings on your headunit to configure the type of phone you are using (ios or android). Connect your phone to your headunit using bluetooth, run the appradio app on your phone. The function should now work. Do note for android very little apps are available but still its cool to use the browser to surf the net using your headunit like a carputer. Those using Apple will have quite alot more apps available. Hope this helps.

I am using wireless mirroring... I can mirror any apps onto my HU... But its a 1 way link... Cannot control the HP on the HU.

Issue with these apps are they require yr phones to be rooted which will void the warranty of most new phones.

That's normal bro. I am running on 17' rims and the best I could get is around 14.0km/L with 50/50 driving on city and expressway. Dun be bother by the readings, just enjoy your new ride.

you guys' Vezel have been giving great FC.. my old 1.5l Mitsubishi has been returning 12km/litre constantly ever since I change to 16" 205/45 tyres. On paper, while on factory 175/60r14 rim, it's only 16.2km/litre.. so while you upgraded to 17" and still having 14km/litre is damn fantastic. Congrats again on getting a newnice car!

Bro... Tan leather looks very good on white car. It gives a classy look. I was also deciding but in the end
took red leather. Not sure how it will look on a black car.

I chose saddle brown leather upholstery with red "H" logo for my yet to be delivered black vezel. I hope they look nice. Maybe I can upload some pictures if I manage to collect my car before cny as promised by PI...

The rough ride could be due to the size and type of tyres used. Bigger rims with lower profile could be one of the reason. also the tyre pressure is also another possible reason.

What is your tyre pressure? My ride is quite acceptable with 220 front and 200 back. I thought it is more of the rocking effect that may put people off. This is likely due to the torsion beam rear suspension instead something like an independent multilink rear suspension.

It's been interesting to read how Vezel bros & sis here are trying to obtain the best FC for the car.

Depending on how we drive, the various road & traffic conditions (city or highway), plus factors like whether driving alone or carrying passengers/loads, and recently, the discussions on brand and viscosity of engine oil used, size and inflation level of tyres and whether using Eco drive/start-stop function or not, most of us appear to be hitting around 14-15 l/km on average.

For me, that is considered very good already as I tend of have a heavy right foot. My daily mileage is not much such that my full tank can last me up to 12 days (I live near my workplace & kid's schools). At Shell, they have a Ferrari sticker collection contest..... so far, I've only managed to collect three and don't think I will ever get to complete the card at all! Then again, I also don't get to enjoy the drop in petrol prices as I take 2 weeks to fill up each time! But this is only my case, so I don't mean to compare with other Vezel owners.

Here's to better FC for all of us Vezel owners!

I think 230 for the rear may be a tat too much. I am trying 230(F) and 210�. So far the ride seems fine. Yet to find out how the FC goes.

OBD - on board diagnostics

It's a universal standard used in most automobiles. With it comes global standardized fault codes, vehicle parameters, etc?that can be read back by the scan tool.

Example - when you have a "check engine light" appear on the dash that does not go away, you drive into a workshop, workshop plugs in a "computer", that's the scantool or obd tool. You be able to read the fault code to enable you to narrow down the area that needs attention.

Mine tyre pressure same same as u. I find this very acceptable. Perviously WS set at 240 & was very bumpy.

OBD - on board diagnostics

It's a universal standard used in most automobiles. With it comes global standardized fault codes, vehicle parameters, etc?that can be read back by the scan tool.

Example - when you have a "check engine light" appear on the dash that does not go away, you drive into a workshop, workshop plugs in a "computer", that's the scantool or obd tool. You be able to read the fault code to enable you to narrow down the area that needs attention.

I use OBDII connection a lot. I can view almost all the info of the Vezel on my iPhone (Battery Voltage, AFR, Water Temp, CO2 emissions etc...)

On my third tank now, average FC of 14.5KM/L, 65% city 35% highway.

Thanks Winup22, it wasn't really love at first sight like zippu, but the colour kinda grew on me when i keep going back to look at photos i took. Called around the major PIs to check on whether they had purple or gun metal grey. Truth is, hardly any had in stock. And they'd rather move X model as margins are higher. Read and watched online that the design executives in Honda really pulled out all stops to design the whole colour theme, so my wife and I decided to keep the half fabric/leather seats. Only "leatherized" the side door panel with same colour stitching.

Can't wait to run in the fellow, but b4 i go servicing at 1000lm i will be giving Optima a call to enquire about their charges when we bring our own engine oil and how to go about ensuring they pour in what we brought. Have done enough research especially after the recommendation & advice of Niltrams bro that start/stop engines need high quality low viscosity oil for ideal reliability. Workshops however often carry w40 oils which are (correct me if i'm wrong), lowest cost for them. Worse of all is when i realised they poured in Texas oil in my ex-Honda CU2 and charged me premium oil price. Need exact ratings of the oil as well, not just brand and viscosity.

Thanks Zippu! Oh yes, the headlights for this Little Green Monster are bold, wide, bright, but not too menacing. Tried to take angled shots to bring out the feel of it but it's just so bright even on running lights alone, my camera can't even out the contrasts. Understand your frustrations, as well as other fellow buyers' feelings to wait. 6bids is no joke, that's 3 months! Especially if you have to trade in your ride. Truth is, trade-in prices are offered taking into consideration future lower selling price. Somehow i prefer consignment. I wouldn't say i got the best best deal as i expected which was still fair, but i can't complain about the added service and effectiveness on getting the ride ready. Especially the part of getting the ride within 1 week as it was already in stock with all inspection passed. I would recommend bros/sis to buy those in stock, check on the exact OMV/ARF on the exact unit you're looking at b4 thinking of counter offer either on price or whole package. FYI warranty for Hybrid is 5yrs 120000km.

Let's all hope COE will start to go down herein! I still have my wife's ride to think about in time to come. Good deal 2nd hand cars have also recently been snapped up alredy. Since 4mths ago have been putting many into my sgcarmart mobile shortlist. All the good ones with high paper value to back up sold, only left with volkswagen and other CMI european brands which i stay far away from.

Will it void warrenty and insurance claim any issues?

You can do anything you want, if nothing happens.. But if you kana any accident, that's where those warrenty & insurance issues surface out. my POV, you touch the "organs" of the Car, surely Warrenty pertaining to that area will void. As for Insurance, if the accident is serious, example crash situation, if their IO concluded its due to your changing of the Suspension, then every cent is not covered. � :wacko:

Mine is stock 17". running 230 tyre pressure front n rear. Find it abit hard but alot better than the initial when the pressure was 280

I think 280 is a bit over already.. Mine used to be 230 font & rear. I felt that the back is very bumpy & took the opportunity during my 1st servicing�to ask the Technician to release the Rear to 220. Its better now when going over humps..

Not all tyre pressure suits to everyone. As far as Tyre pressure is concern, it pretty much also depends on what do you usually carries at the back, "car seats", Full load of human or Equipment & Tools for your work requirements, etc.. Of course, the heavier load you carry, the higher Tyre pressure you will need.

Using it as a plate for now haha. If possible i will take a pic and post. If those can pass wud be shiok..super dark rear passenger windows. Needing serious help to pair my samsung note 3 to my pioneer 5750BT man. Can't mirror anything. It only detects blue tooth for calls and allows me to play music. It detects only certain audio files in my phone as well..not all. Dumbfounded

As long as the unit has AppRadio it should work. �Depending on your phone you'll either need a MHL cable or Miniport to HDMI adaptor.

Need help and advice pairing..hehe. can do wireless pairing without cable rite?

Bro... Wireless mirroring needs a module. For mirrorlink, u need the cable and adaptor.

How much have you paid? If only 10-20%dp, then you 'earn' since you have the coe, its under your name, ...technically, the coe is your money..

Is the delivery date fixed and clearly stated in the SA? What is provided in the Termination clause? Any notice requirement before termination? Any recourse would likely come from these clauses. However, it is still necessary to read the SA as a whole...

1) By just pairing using Bluetooth, you can pick up/drop calls and also play music via Bluetooth streaming. �This is default.

�

2) If you link your phone via a MHL adaptor or miniport to HDMI adaptor, you can project whatever on your phone to the HU like a monitor. �There is no control at all from the HU to your phone.

�

3)�If you link your phone via a MHL adaptor or miniport to HDMI adaptor and used Pioneer's AppRadio app, you can use whatever apps thats supported by AppRadio. �Pretty limited, but still usable.

�

4)�If you link your phone via a MHL adaptor or miniport to HDMI adaptor and used ARU unchained, you attain full control of your phone via the HU and can launch any app in your phone, not limited to those supported by AppRadio. �In my terms, god mode.

�

To reach god mode, you must:

Excuse - stuck at Vitas. But dun want give the vitas application no, gave me only the chassis no. I really want to exit, every week say confirm come but never come.

Normally it takes 4-5 weeks for all LTA testing and application. Being so near to CNY, not sure if this will take longer. However no reason not to let u know the application number and I am sure u have tired to talk to the manager.

I waited 4 months before I got my car, from paying deposit to getting car keys.

Bro... Wireless mirroring needs a module. For mirrorlink, u need the cable and adaptor.

Bro.. The module is behind the HU.. So i dun have any pics. It uses the AV port.
I just need to connect my iphone to the HU via wifi and it mirrors any apps.
But its only 1 way link. U cannot control the iphone using the HU.
I can pass u my audio installer contact. The device cost me $280.

Perhaps case accredited PIs would be slightly better when it comes to looking for recourse? Should check with Case if its airtight enough,and check with CASE that whichever self-proclaimed dealer of being case accredited is telling the truth. Usually deposit 10k for COE and 10k for car.

If it's 6 bids, i would rather firm up on car body price only. Eventually when bidding comes either add deposit or if play punk get another trusted dealer to bid for us at a fee. Best of the best solution is getting the bank to be 3rd party entity for the funds to be entrusted. If dealer financially geng and sincere enough which they shud be,should engage such bank services given the "cheating" climate we have nowadays,after Volks Auto, whose next...

Hi, my first major mod was to address the bumpiness of the Vezel Hybrid Z. As the higher spec-ed Vezel comes with the Enkei stock rims and 215/55/17, a common complain of mine was the stiffness of the Dunlop Sport Maxx 050 tyres. Also, I felt that these tyres weren't as fuel efficient as compared to the latest generation of tyres in the market (Sport Maxx 050 tread has been in the market since last decade) with fuel saving compound and tread design, I decided to change to one of the market's best performing tyre, the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance.

These tyres are made in Europe (Slovakia) and available in a few selected tyre shops. Do not mistake these for the old Goodyear EfficientGrips. These are way better than the previous generation. One of the most important factor in determining the tyres was the EU Tyre Label ratings:

It scored an "A" for wet grip, amazing for a supposedly comfort tyre, and "B" for rolling resistance. The higher the rating, the lesser rolling resistance you experience, and therefore better fuel efficiency in the long run. It's good to check out tyre labels when you buy tyres from now on. These are tested independent of the tyre manufacturers, and represent an objective and unbiased assessment of said tyres,

Having changed to these, the immediate feel is gosh, the tyres are really comfortable and quieter than the Dunlops, considering both are brand new tyres, so if you think the stock Dunlops are quiet, wait till you try these new generation tyres! The tyre sidewall is soft, you can visually see the sidewall deform as compared to the stock Dunlops. High speed cornering performance slightly lose out to the Dunlops simply due to the softer sidewall, but I prefer the improved ride and quietness very much over the stiffer Dunlops.

Furthermore, the low rolling resistance can really be felt by going down MCE slope, with the Dunlops, I could feel a distinct drag and the speed would maintain, but with the new Goodyears, the car actually increased in speed and had to brake before the speed camera before I would be snapped for speeding!

In short, a good upgrade in future if you absolutely cannot stand the stiffness, especially for 17" Vezelers!�
