Went for my 1K servicing today at World Auto. I am not sure if it is normal, but they say can straight away change to synthetic oil and skip the 5K servicing. According to them, this is the nom now but up to customer to decide. I decided against it, change to mineral oil and will do my 5K servicing.

    Any bro experience this?

They also mentioned try not to use below w40 synthetic oil. Altho engine more responsive and lower FC, in our city environment, due to many start/stop, it is better to use higher density oil.

I use synthetic oil at my 1k service. I'm not so sure about to skip the 5k oil change but nowadays a lot of europe cars are already able to skip that. W40 oil is thicker so is better to protect your engine during high rpm. Are lot of racing car even use W50 or W60 oil but I dun think is necessary at all for our Vezel.

So what is your next move? Wait and see or top up? Will the PI sell to the next higher bidded?

Fortunate in disguise.. since I lost the last COE bidding by $89, I am using the next 2-weeks to source around for better Loan offers as well as nicer 17" Rims package.. [rolleyes]

My PI info me that my car completed (just) the Inspection. So for the coming COE, I will cheong for the bid & he told me that I should be able to collect my car in 2-days after I gotten my COE. [laugh]

I am going to choose my Leather colour later & so that my PI can pre-order to standby my Seat cover for replacement before my fast collection..

So far, my experience with this PI is very helpful, patience & sincere in the dealing with me. despite my numerous request, he still never forsake my deal continue to help me, so I don think he will so easily to sell my car to others ba.. (I hope).. [:p]

8650bt I topped up $550 for built in GPS. I took this option because it looks neater overall along with the original HDMI/USB connector (Bought at $120).

Original from Japan is Fabric Seat, most like cos Japan have 4-seasons so during winter their b**ls will shrink when sit on leather seat while forgot to turn on seat heater.. [:p]

Bro ... Have u seen how the hard type tonneau cover work? My wifefy did not like the soft type & PI manage to import the hard type from Japan to replace. Still waiting for arrival.

U won't regret.. I'm think the must have item for the Vezel.. Even the PI quoted me 300 for top up..

    - can put things like umbrella or tissue box on top
    - 2 strings are attached on the boot so that when u open the boot, the cover lift up for easy access
    - saw from other forum that the hard tonneau cover can filter the noise from the exhaust, thus more quiet ride
    - finishing is good and feel premium..

Because it is soft ... She likes to put soft toys behind and if soft, it will not hold. However seen some comments that the hard cover is attached to the boot cover & will move when open the boot. I initially thought it is just a hard cover to slide into the slot, like the soft cover slides into the slot. I have yet to see one.

These are some main and important points.
Note: 90 percent of engine wear occurs at startup.
The reason that multi-grade oils were developed in the first place was to address the problem of oil thickening after engine shutdown.
There is no oil that does not thicken after you turn your engine off.
There is currently no engine oil thin enough to operate correctly at startup.
They all cause excessive wear at startup.
This is why we have to warm up our engines before revving them up.
Engine designers always pick the recommended oil based on a hot engine and hot oil.
There is no issue with oil thinning as they are both matched when hot.
The problem is oil thickening when the engine cools.
Automotive engine manufacturers know these principals of motor oils. They know there is thinning or thickening that will occur. They take these things into account when they write that owners manual.
My take is... if you wanna change your engine oil, dun go too far away from the recommended 0W20.
You may not get the best FC.
New cars have no issue with thin oil.
And if the oil is too thick, it might not lubricate probably.
After reading thru the 10 pages... i will try 0W30 or 5W30. 1 grade different from the recommended should be fine :)

After my 8 days holiday trip. This morning the battery totally flat (cannot even open the door). Lucky my PI send down a machanic to replace the battery (FOC) for me. Guys, please take note that the original battery from Honda is using the old type (water) of battery. It will run flat easily.

Even if it is the old type, it shouldn't have gone flat so fast. You better go check your attenuator, as it might not be functioning properly. Better to be safe.
