I think Stomper couldn't find a parking lot so he very du lan.

An ang mo chu like this can easily have 2 - 3 family nucleus in one house, the father one car, the son one car, daughter one car. Even worse if whole family are working professionals, smelly smelly 4 or 5 cars.

Imagine at night you go home and all the gazetted lots are taken up and you keep circling your estate trying to look for a legal space to park, you will become du lan or not? Or you kind hearted enough to let other visitors park outside your house's gazetted parking, then you park outside the gate or opposite single white line, LTA come and summon you. Worse, you kena hit and run, after that LTA come and summon you some more!

I once parked on a unmarked road and walked to MRT (no lines no markings) and the owner came out to say I cannot park there or she'll call police. I asked her to go ahead, but eventually chickened out becos I don't want my car to be beautified.�

My wife's colleagues parked at the landed estate opposite their factory and got "love letters" on their windscreen.�

I like these residents. They reserve the lots for visitors. Many people lazy to remove the bin so they won't park there. I always remove the bins and park there.
