doubt arsenal will buy an established keeper
the transfer news is a bonus... i never knew arsenal interested
doubt arsenal will buy an established keeper
Arsenal's GK has never impressed me...
i think it's been a problem since seaman left. even lehmann also not very stable.
handanovic is very steady... he's one of the reason udinese is doing so well.... i would be surprised if udi sold him to be honest, since they would be in champ league next season...
i read somewhere that Arsene gian him since Arsenal played udi last season....

POZNAN, Poland ? Quick: name the club with the most Man of the Match awards so far at Euro 2012. Barcelona? Not quite. Bayern Munich? Close, but it falls short as well. Try unfashionable Bundesliga side Vfl Wolfsburg, whose players have garnered three such awards so far. (Real Madrid tied the mark when Cristiano Ronaldo earned the accolade for his brace against the Netherlands on Sunday.)
The irony is that all three players are in wildly different places within the context of the Lower Saxony club. One could even make the case that when combined with the other Euro 2012 players on the club?s books, they comprise Wolfsburg?s band of misfits.
Croatia?s Mario Mandzukic has lit up the tournament with three goals but has been declared surplus to requirements by Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath, who has said he?ll accept the first ?fair offer? and insists that the Croat was uncoachable.
The Czech Republic?s Vaclav Pilar, whose scintillating play down the left wing helped rescue his team?s bid for the knockout stages after an early defeat to Russia, has yet to play a game for Wolfsburg, having been sold to the club last January but deciding to delay joining up with the team until after Euro 2012.
Then there is Pilar?s Czech teammate, Petr Jiracek. The Man of the Match in Sunday?s 1-0 win over Poland joined up with Wolfsburg in January yet found playing tough to come by down the stretch. In his last four league games, he was twice pulled off at halftime and was an unused sub in the other two. That fact, not to mention his game-winning goal against the Poles, saw him draw special praise from Czech manager Michal Bilek.
?I?m very happy about [Jiracek],? he said. ?In Wolfsburg he didn?t play much towards the end of the season and in the preparation matches it was clear he was not in his top form. But he was improving, and I know that he is now fit. He managed to be fit very fast, and now he?s Man of the Match, he scored goals? He deserves it, his form is excellent.?
Technically, those three aren?t the only Wolfsburg players in the tournament either. Denmark defender Simon Kjaer is also participating, even as he was forced to go on loan at Roma. For his part, Kjaer has stated he will never play for Magath again. It leaves one to wonder how the other three will fair with Magath ? as stern a taskmaster as there is in the coaching ranks ?once the tournament is over.
As for the international coaches of the aforementioned trio, they?ll be hoping more Man of the Match awards are in the offing

thats very comforting coming from inter manager..
last year was a fluke year.. like our own once every 50 yrs flood..
this year dont get bottom half is considered good..
all the top players are getting better although it does not run totally on player ratings.. but still it is intimidating when Inter starting 11 are all 91s and above on average..
Sharing is caring :)the best thing LP.. i was going to sign my player from free agent.. but thks to ur report.. all chiong to sign the wolfburg guy...
I saw ur free agent then i saw LP report..haha..

Arsenal and Montpellier reach Giroud agreement
Submitted by Andrew Slevison on Mon, 06/18/2012 - 17:37
Arsenal and Montpellier have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Olivier Giroud according to recent reports.
The 25-year old French striker, whose 21 goals helped fire La Paillade to their first Ligue 1 title last season, has been heavily linked with the Gunners in recent weeks and it appears that a deal is set to be finalised.
It is believed that Arsene Wenger?s Arsenal and Montpellier owner Louis Nicollin have come to terms over an unquoted release clause in his contract which is likely to be in the ?10-?12million region.
Arsene buy so many strikers not a good sign siah....
machiam preparing for life without RVP
jiracek and pilar should get a good rise after the euro...

Manure 4-1 Arsenal
Manure whacked Arseneless arsenal 4-2 at old toilet as 2 late goals from welback and hernandez brought them a deserved victory over bobo shooters arsenal.
despite the cannon in their club crest, the gunners 14 shots on target produced only 3 on target.
the lack of accuracy was blamed on a drinking culture at the club brought on by their OKT manager GS. Rumours surfaced that GS brought the team to Echo before the match, leading to rubber legs symdrome.
GS declined comments.
Fiorentina 1-3 Fake Madrid
Fake madrid continues to fly high in the MCF premier league as the "real Madrid" languishes in the wrong end of the table.
Fiorentina's manager's ambitious plan to fiorentinianize their squad was a disappointment as the DJ's madrid whipped them 3-1 with 2 goals from coveted winger belhanda sent them on their way to victory despite the loss of their talismanic loan GK handanovic who is said to be close to signing a deal with hamburg.
There is talk that manager DJ is feeding the players tongkat Ali to boost performance. Uefa is said to be investigating the rumours.

Please make best offer.
It was a first win for the german side in 7 attempts against Takumi's team.
"They were probably very lucky since they only had 6 shots on goal and 4 of them went in... I dont want to make excuses for us,.. but perhaps the players had their minds on the Euros perhaps?.. "
inter milan was bamboozled by unheralded dortmund who took a 2-0 lead before a hair dryer treatment in the inter dressing room woke the team up enough to recover to a 2-2 draw.
Inter gaffer was in a foul mood as his star studded team fell further behind the front runners with this disappointing draw.
get ready to face the reigning champs!!

Giroud: I am happy and proud to be joining Arsenal
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Mon, 06/25/2012 - 03:29
Olivier Giroud says he's "proud" to be joining Arsenal.
The France striker confirmed he will be in London this week to finalise his ?12million Arsenal move and sign a five-year contract.
In his first interview since they agreed a fee with Ligue 1 champions Montpellier, Giroud, 25, said: ?I am so happy to be signing for Arsenal ? it is something that represents so much for me.?
Giroud, who bagged 21 goals in 36 appearances last term, will become Emirates boss Arsene Wenger?s second summer signing following the ?11m capture of Lukas Podolski from Cologne.
He added: ?I?ve always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and Arsenal are a great club with many French players.?

Real Madrid in contact with Man City for Tevez
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Mon, 06/25/2012 - 03:25
Real Madrid want Manchester City to keep them up to speed over Carlos Tevez's situation.
The Daily Star Sunday says Real have asked to be told if City plan to offload their star. And City would want ?25m for their Argentine, who has two years left on his ?198,000-a-week deal.
?Etihad boss Roberto Mancini made his peace with Tevez at the end of last season after the forward?s strike ? but he may want to sell to fund his summer buys
would be a surprise if RM really moves for Tevez....

Reigning champion Wolfsburg was beaten by a resurgent AC milan despite the hot air blowing from their manager's arse. The 2-1 home defeat was a slap in the face after the war of words between the 2 managers.
Barcelona is surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw by newcomer Ajax. Barca stars seems to have their eyes on the top of table clash with Inter Milan next week as they rarely moved out of 2nd gear throughout the match to allow ajax to snatch an equaliser.

With the sickeningly inept defeat to Barca, going down 2-3 after leading 2-0 at half time, Manager Prince showed his ruthless streak by trading off his star player to bring in 2 more future stars into his fold.
The message is clear to the rest of the squad: No one is indispensible. Shape up or ship out.
Despite the loss, Inter Milan is still in 3rd place 4point behind table topping Fake madrid with a top of the table clash coming up soon. This could be the defining match of Inter's season. Stay tuned....

Major coop for the reigning champs!!
Fans rejoiced in the city square as news of the signing of mega star Fabregas was announced to the public. It is the club's first ever signing of a major name in their history and the board hopes that he can lift the team to challenge for the title after last season's amazing run.
"Of course we have ambition in our team, we lost 2 good players in Bads & Mario who was our club's top goal scorer, we wish them all the best ( not against us) but gained a young playmaker, Cesc who will lead the team. He is a versatile player who can slot anywhere in midfield or in the hole behind the striker.. even a 'false no.9' haha... "
Fabregas will now wear the no. 10 shirt for WOlfsburg.
5 pt behind fake Madrid. Chances are slim.... Can't seem to get a good run of results.LP, if u still dont win the league..i dunno wat to say..
A favourite of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, Sakho says he'll seek a move if PSG buy a new defender.
"If a defender comes, I'll do everything to leave because I have to think about my future. My goal this season is to play, to be a starter.
"I will be open to proposals from clubs willing to give me playing time and allowing me to continue my progress," said Sakho.

Chelsea are on the brink of signing Inter Milan fullback Douglas Maicon.
The Daily Star says it is thought that the 30-year-old will cost Chelsea ?6.5million plus add-ons.
Inter are hoping to replace Maicon with Manchester City's Aleksander Kolarov, although they are aware they will struggle to match the club's asking price for a player Roberto Mancini is reluctant to sell.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper, a Slovenia international, will join the Nerazzurri for ?11 million, with Italy Under-21 international Marco Faraoni moving in the opposite direction on a co-ownership basis.
"The signature is the only thing left for the transfer to happen," Pozzo told reporters. "An agreement has been reached between our club and Inter.
"But I cannot yet say that it is official."
Handanovic, who signed for Udinese in 2004, has been a key player at the Stadio Friuli in recent years, after initially spending time on loan at Treviso, Lazio and Rimini up until 2007.
The move is likely to pave the way for the exit of Julio Cesar, who has struggled for fitness and form in his last two seasons at San Siro.
The 32-year-old custodian's wife seemingly confirmed the reports on Tuesday, accusing the Nerazzurri of being disrespectful towards her husband, who has been at the club since 2006

Robin van Persie has revealed that he will not sign a new contract at Arsenal and expects to continue his football career away from Emirates Stadium.

Van Persie, 28, whose current contract with the Gunners is due to expire in 12 months' time, met with the club's hierarchy over an extension before Euro 2012, with talks subsequently postponed until after the Dutchman returned from his summer holidays.
The striker has had time to reflect on those talks - which he says did not centre on his own personal terms, but rather the direction the north London club is heading - and has now decided not to renew his contract, believing the club do not share his ambitions for the future.
"As announced earlier this year I had a meeting with the boss [Arsene Wenger] and Mr [Ivan] Gazidis after the season," said Van Persie in a statement. "This was a meeting about the club's future strategy and their policy. Financial terms or a contract have not been discussed, since that is not my priority at all.
"I personally have had a great season but my goal has been to win trophies with the team and to bring the club back to its glory days. Out of my huge respect for Mr Wenger, the players and the fans I don't want to go into any details, but unfortunately in this meeting it has again become clear to me that we in many aspects disagree on the way Arsenal should move forward.
"I've thought long and hard about it, but I have decided not to extend my contract. You guys, the fans, have of course the right to disagree with my view and decision and I will always respect your opinions.
"I love the club and the fans, no matter what happens. I have grown up and became a man during my time with Arsenal. Everybody at the club and the fans have always supported me over the years and I have always given my all (and more) on and off the pitch.
"I am very proud of being part of this fantastic club for the last eight years. As soon as Mr Gazidis is back from his two-week holiday in America further meetings will follow and I will update you if and when there are more developments."
Arsenal later issued a short statement on their official website which read: "We have to respect Robin's decision not to renew his contract. Robin has one year to run on his current contract and we are confident that he will fulfil his commitments to the club.
"We are planning with ambition and confidence for next season with Arsenal's best interests in mind.''
Van Persie was named the PFA footballer of the year for his performances last season, which saw him score 37 goals in all competitions for the club.
The striker has been linked with Manchester City, Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona since his contract situation became an issue.
Van Persie's exit would continue a worrying trend of Arsenal losing their best players - with Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri both leaving Arsenal last summer, after the club lost the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure 12 months prior.
The Gunners have already boosted their attacking options this summer - signing Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud, in a bid to both improve the playing staff and convince Van Persie of the club's ambition. However, Wenger and Gazidis will now have to decide whether to allow Van Persie to leave for nothing next summer, or cash in on the Dutchman while they still can.
