Hi Bros, may i know is red color leather seats suitable for blue vezel? did consider saddlebrown but scare wil stained easily. Any out there having blue vezel with red color leather seat or saddlebrown color? can share the pic?

Imo red leather may be more suited for a black or white exterior ride.
Red and Blue looka weird and i have nv seen such a combination but its ur personal preference!

Think no to china tyres ba...... Perhaps at most go for korean tyres, kumho is pretty ok and cheaper at abt $150 each. Understand for vezel and such suv, the profile is usually bigger for a more comfort ride.

This is unlike the sports car or saloon where ur profile can go as low as 30 or 35 with bigger rims.

Was the expected delivery date stated in your signed quote and documents?
If it is then rest assured.

I noticed something, the more reputable dealers are quoting a higher price than the rest. Abt 5k to 6k more. A x mode can be $114k and s model $120k, wherea other deals can be 107k and 114k respectively. So....... Who will you buy from?

Considering the fact that a premium HRV is about $130k.

I was with them last week, they took quite long to revert on my current car and said would call me back once their dealers reverted to them. But they didn't... No sound no picture.

They quoted $115k for S... But everything else needs top up.

I was there last weekend too.....110k for S....S has half leather and half fabric seats....to cover to full leather....$300..pioneer HU, but $450 to add in Nav software. Free covering of the inside of the doors with leather (the top part below the windows), then I forgot issit free reverse cam and car mat and solar film...(these 3 didn't catch my attention unlike the previous mentioned items)

Dealing with such dealers are damn tiring! Hahaa guess just need to be careful.
But the auto link at ubi does have a very nice showroom and 2 shiny vezels X and S there.

Looks very good and it will really tempt you!

At the end of the day, go for a gd dealer pay a bit more and close the case!

Wah....buy car is like gambling...

Because its PIs perhaps, its not their fault but they are also thinking of the best way not to lose money and gain more, its not really the easiest business in the world, imagine some PI has to fork out $ first to ship the car to sg, and when the car is in sg, they still need 2-3 weeks for clearance, inspection, registration, coe etc.

ADs are totally fine. But PI are much smaller companies.

you can try zion auto sim ming. I bought my vezel s there. Price might nt be the cheapest in town, but coe rebate is high, service is good. Look for martin 98005433. Say patrick intro you there. 6 bids means PI will bid on ur behalf, usually with lower COE so that if lucky they can get it with lower coe during the 6 biddings. it is usually 6 consecutive bidding after the 1st bid starts.

�

1 bid guaranteed is they will only bid once, and will sure get the coe regardless of PI topup or you topup (depending whether yours is a "without topup" package.

�

What i think on why the won start immediately, is due to they dun have ready stock and successful coe bidding only last 6 mths. even if they know or arrange shipment for the car (lets say Nov/Dec). What if something cropped up? shipment delay etc... If that happens, u either buy other cars or from other PI, or you forgo the COE together with deposit.

By right, to add-on, if yours is on a 1 bid guaranteed �without topup, and there is a date or month stated in the SA for the delivery, you shouldn't be worrying when the PI starts bidding if the stock has not arrived.

By left, anything can still go wrong if the PI is out to makan you money, esp if they are in need of money. Slightly safer if your PI is established long enough and has survived through the bad times.

a) agree on price of Vezel without COEs

b) place a booking fee of Vezel (without COE)

In return for PI to commit on bringing in the Vezel for you, buyer will self bid and guarantee to produce the COE within 3 months.

If buyer fails to produce COE, their booking fee will be fortfeited.

BTW, anyone who has changed their tyre & rims to 17"/18"/19", any idea how much the new stock tyre & rims can fetch for trade-in?

About 500 or more. Dusclaimer. I got quoted as low as 300 before. Managed to find a good one which i got much higher. Pm me for contact.

When i started asking around during Feb'15 timeframe, several PIs were willing to quote base on Vezel car body price in the region of 52k.

�

Now that the situation has change (demand more than supply), the PIs may have adopted a different strategy/approach since they can now choose and pick their customers.

�

I have stopped asking around as i will be getting my ride next week (not Vezel).

�

Just putting in my idea to help minimise anybody of being screwed by the PIs.

Because the PI is also earning when they bid or pay COE for you, its part of their business model.

And they will always prioritize deliveries for ppl who opt for guaranteed coe cos they are paying more and they earn more.

Personally I do not have any negative experience with Vincar (Coz I do not have any experience with them at all)

Strictly speaking Vincar is been around for some time. They were one of the bigger PIs during the PI craze back in the 2000s. Their cars are usually more exp but they deliver and had not too bad aftersales. At least they honor recalls back in those days.

Those days are from 2003 to 2010. Not sure how are they doing now though.

I suggest you guys keep your options open, maybe just don't look for this fellow. LOL.

That's all I can help out after reading so many chaos buying this car.

My other advise is don't buy this car loh, the world is your oyster and there are so many choice out there which are not too bad. Is it worth all the sleepless nights and "gambling" just to get this car?

Your idea sounds workable but I doubt if any PI will agree to this. For one reason or another which I also fail to comprehend, they just don't like to sell car without COE, ADs are also like that.

Even if you manage to find a PI willing to do this, they will likely sell u the car without COE at a price which does not commensurate with the inclusive package price offered ie if price with COE is $110k and current COE is $53k, they should be selling you at $57k but they will sell you at more than $60k so you may not be better off bidding yourself. My 2 cents but I could be wrong so you can ask around and pls do let us know if you find a PI willing to quote a fair price�without COE.�

I have asked around and so far 4 PI I spoke to willing to sell car body without coe. Many of them are willing to bid for you at the coe price you want and you pay for the car body price plus coe, so don't see why they are not willing to do it.

COE is valid for 6 months for Cat A and B, u won't lose out any month if u dun register new car. The 10 years period will start when u register your new car. Also u can extend your COE after 6 months if u dun register due to any reason, but need to pay a sum to do so. Just like my fern whose new car cannot reach our shore b4 his COE expire and the agent paid the sum to LTA.

Hi, am looking at Vezel too. Just curious if there is any difference between 6 bids and 1 bid guaranteed COE? I went to one PI last week, the SE said that 1 bid guarantee but he said they won't bid immediately after signing the SA. In this case, the PI can bid whenever they like and the most we buyer can do is to include a latest delivery date in the SA which allow us to cancel the SA if we still do not get the COE By the stated date.�

Theoretically yes. Ever inch up is about 1km/l lesser. But deps on the rims you chosed and tyres profile. The stock 16 inch of vezel is about 10kg. I got a light weight 17 inch coupled with lower profile ride (from 215 60 r16 to 215 55 r17), hence my fc was not much affected. In fact it improves a bit. Fc deps on your tyres too (not just size). Some tyres are better for fc.

I guess it deps? To me. 6 bids or 4 bids must equate consecutive bids. That is what my pi did for me and my friends. Perhaps to be safe, lock down the delivery date.

While AD have a better warranty/servicing package, the upfront cost difference (e.g. Vezel vs HRV) is rather huge. I believe this factor is why many is risking to buy from PI rather than Kah Motor.�(I understand they are not exactly the same)

I had shortlisted a few PI from the online forums but nonetheless, being a singaporean, I still backside itchy and went for all showrooms.

From what I can say, all singaporeans love to buy cheap and good stuff and I was one of them! I want cheap, good and those can deliver fast. Haha. So after walking almost all shops, I must say that eventually I didn't buy it cheap. The PI I signed with, their price of Vezel was on the higher side. I was talking to this SE and I told him to give discount and more freebies else I would consider as their price is $2000-$3000 more than the rest! But all I got was a lesson given by the shop boss, he simply asked me one question and this question actually made me make up my mind.

My only concern, apart from looking for a trusted PI, is regarding recall. What if tgere is a recall say to fix the faulty airbag or whatever, who and where should we turn to? I am sure Kah Motors will not come forth to take responsibility. What will happen, especially if the recall concerns the safety aspects? Any one kind enough to share?

Ultimately , worth is the main key word.
The extra few k you paid for getting from PI made you feel worth for those extra reasons.
Like what bro spring has mentioned... He would consider getting from PI because of Vezel but not before as he feel it is worth to take a risk for a lovely attraction HONDA VEZEL. :)
Of course, we singaporeans love cheap and good things ...lol
Best to have both, if cant, make you own choice and move on :)

From what I gather they will start bidding when the car is reaching Singapore. They only started bidding for me when they confirm car was being delivered. One bid then secured Liao. I think in this dropping COE climate the longer they start the biding the better for you. As I said I got a rebate of slightly more the 1k... I think if wait next bidding maybe can get a better rebate?.. So that's my only regret. Sign contract too early.

I must say thru out the whole deal was a smooth one and I got my Vezel delivered to me after 22 days which the contract wrote 1 month guaranteed COE, no top up or rebate. �

Conclusion, I signed up for a car and I didn't really bother about delivery till the date of getting my car. Oh ya, anyway my fren also bought from this PI and he gotten his car in May liao, this is also a factor that made me signed with this SE. Hope all buyers can also understand this theory sent to me by this PI boss, there is no cheap and good thingy in buying car, you cant have the best of both world.

An estimation when quoted:

Price of Vezel X 113k-117k �est during time of June no rebates.. June's 1st coe was 66k

�

1) 113k - 66k= 47k car price

2) 113k - 61k= 52k

3) 113k - 58k= 55k

4) 113k - 55k= 58k

�

By looking at above calculation, depend on which Coe you secured = to the car price that you are paying.

It's not about "their price is $2k to $3k more" than other PIs but its at least 5k to 10k more !

I'm just sharing my thought n experience.. some people willing to pay more maybe for peace of mind..some might just wanna save a little bit more to lessen their loan... so it all comes with all individuals.

In the end of the day.. just buy and be happy and enjoy the ride

That is why I do not agree to a swinging coe. Benefits the agents only. Usually pple hardly get their bids successful at an increasing coe situation. If coe drops and pple rush in to buy thinking they get a good deal, some of them turn out to be disapointed when coe increases back and they failed to get their rides. Anyway its my take only. Of course me too prefer a low coe.

Aliexpress having a lot of Vesel accessories. You can buy online. Enjoy your shopping....

MAIN POINT - I have been looking around for Vezel accessories just to see what I could possible dabble with if I do decide to take the plunge.. There are tons of accessories on taobao, Aliexpress and so on.. I've had my fair share of bad (and good) experiences with ordering items from online sites. Besides the waiting time, the fact that you will not know what to expect (item condition, fitment etc), finding a good installer (and reasonable labour fees), the unknown scares me.

We're killing the businesses of car accessories shop by ordering online so they're not gonna let us off easily with their installation charges.�

I have ordered scuff plates, bodykit and car mat for my Fit from Taobao before because it was relatively cheap but end up disappointed thanks to the (inadequate) quality and fitment. Could be just my bad luck but since then I have resisted the temptation to order anything from Taobao, Ebay and the likes. I do scroll through them and poison myself but what I do do, is that I screenshot the interested items and then proceed to my preferred accessory shop in SG to check if they do carry the items. If they do not, I should be able to order through them and have them ship it for me.

You will probably end up paying a tad more than what you will have to pay if you order thru taobao but for that small amount of extra money paid, what I get back in return is a peace of mind. Any defects or what will be absorbed by the shop.

The lady boss (Yvonne) and the boss Allan they're nice people to talk to. I've done my full car audio, solar film, with them about two years ago, and last year front bumper conversion $180 I cannot remember if it was inclusive of installation (08 model to 12 facelift)�and my Dad got his Harrier installed with the roof rack recently which cost about $200+ odd.. As I have been there twice for the past 2 months I have seen Vezels there almost daily. From my understanding they are one of the installer for PI carrying Vezels hence they bring in parts and accessories for the latter.. Either that or they can do a pre-order for you (happened to me before..)

They may not be the cheapest out there but I have no qualms in going back to them again and again because of their workmanship and the very nice bosses. Just a heads up, the lady boss may be a little intimidating (or grumpy) at first impression but she is definitely nice haha.�

This is just based on my own experience and I am in no way related to the shop. Many bros and sis here have ordered from online sites and it worked for them but I think I'm the traditional kinda guy who cannot embrace technology and move with the times (fully) so I'm still sticking to brick and mortar shops.

In this volatile market.. we never know when COE will rise or drop.. Most impt is the ride is delivered hiccup free. Get already don't regret.. enjoy the ride..

Agreed with bro, Coe drop regret sign too early, Coe up regret never sign, so when is the right time? :)

For me, buying big item is not matter when is or not the right time, rather if I'm capable of buying at that time. Of course hassle free is most important, will rather pay abit more and channel my time to earn what I spend rather then going after dealer for delivery.

Replied. Buying frm PI is like treading a minefield. Hahahaha. Don't rush. Don't be pressured to buy. Do all your hw, secure urself with as much knowledge as possible then slowly go in :)
