Understand! So what about the CEV? Can take back also?

CEV cannot take back one. It already offset in your purchase price. haha. Unless your CEV increase from 10k to 15k. But u need to agree with your SE on the arrangement.

i think that depends on your dealer and terms on your sales agreement whether there is any rebates. Not likely many of us has considered this when we bought.

Just would like to update about my Vezel vibration sound...Left my baby at WS for them to fully exam my car. After long checking,WS told me the vibration sound likely come from engine mounting. When they hold the engine tight, no sound detected. They did not do anything as usually new car does not hv this issue. If it is due to loose mounting, they can just tighten it. Otherwise, have to change the mounting parts. They have to check if parts is available. Worst thing, it is not under waranty. Get their help to source and contact PI to pay for it

Sis, why not under warranty? U mean mounting not under warranty ah? PI can claim manufacture warranty i think, but it also depends on parts, perhaps. Hope all will be covered for your case, do update us.

Hope your PI face responsibility head on and rectify. Wun cost much for service recovery & maintaining their name. All else fails, we have this forum!!

Hi sis, from what I know, engine mounting is not expensive but WS and PI cannot say not under warranty. Yes, wear and tear parts are not warranty but this is exceptional wear and tear, less than 1-2 months. If you ask me, this is manufacturing defect.

My dealer verbal told me there will be cash rebate for the CEV, that's why I'm so confuse..

Same here, as I started to shop around ... a dealer explained that some dealers already lowered price anticipating higher rebate i.e. $15K, but if turns out to be $10K ... then will need to topup since the selling price was lowered eg. $109K. Then I ask this dealer if they are factoring $10K or $15K, she said $10K hence her price is $115K. I ask if the CEVS turns out to be $15K ... will she rebate me the difference? She said No! I asked if the PARF would be lower then, she said Yes! Huh???? I lost her point ... why would I buy from her then? She gave me the grin and ask me not to believe everything in the forum. Seem like there is more than meets the eye about the rebate.

Regardless it seem still better to take lowest offer and topup if the CEVS remains at $10K, I think that's fair. Not sure about the other dealer's logic. Anyway super confuse with CEVS and its rebate. Always thought it's confirmed at the point of buying, and only the OMV varies slightly with exchanges rates and shipping charges etc.

Appreciate if someone can enlighten. Separate the facts from the myth. And what would be the best/proper dealings. Also any advise on Trade-in ... AD seem to be open to overtrade as much as $3K while PI will only consider paper value. My car is due in Sept, a dealer says she can offer me a better price on Vezel 1.5X if I'm ok to wait 3-6mths. Is there any risk to deal and wait/delay delivery so long. Do not want to end like Volks Auto case.

what car do u intens to trade in? how old and agar wat mileage?

obviously ur dealer is treating you like and hoping u r "vegetable head" enuff to believe her. facts r easy to find on LTA website. We fello buyers partaking in forum discussion have nothing to gain, dealers have. dealer very cute, can ask her call me?

if cev is 15k,so far we know for X model, relevant price is 108k with rebate 62k..i.e body price 46k

now that Cat A COE has dropped to 57k, new price shud b 103-104k,rebate at 57k. All these assume 15k cev rebate. simple math ur dealer hopes u not to understand hehe. so cute this dealer.

if it's 10k cev rebate, old price shud be ard 111-112k for X model rebate 62k, new price 106-107k rebate 57k and if cev turns out to be 15k,we have preceding facts from fellow forumers that a rebate of difference is in order, anything between 3.5k to 5k.

IMO, go for 15k cev and lowest price,no need to wait for rebate which ur dealer may "roti prata" and say no in e end, also...likely the dealer is doing bulk buying and is a direct importer and honest enuff to bring forth the adequate rebates to us buyers..in which LTA created that for buyers in the 1st place

if alredy lowest price assuming 15k cev rebate but ended up to be 10k,u won, dealer suey and to a slight extent ??

Bro, with so many other PIs, take your search with time. If the PI is reputable, the wait is risk in terms of you do not know where coe is heading towards. But if there is a rebate level, then you are quite safe. In any case I may be wrong but many other PI can deliver within two months the moment you sign on dotted line. Take those with at least 4 bids guarantee perhaps? I collected mine in less than 2 months as promised. Many bros did also. But if now all PI told you must wait for 3-6 months, then bobian. Though I feel 3 to 6 months very big gap leh. But if they lock you in for your trade price then to me doesn't matter if there is also coe rebate promised. AD has plenty of margins to overtrade I feel. But i trade in mine previously to my PI at a higher price than all ADs i asled.

I have been monitoring Vezel's CEV rebate for quite sometime.

From my very limited knowledge,I have not seen any band upgrade yet till now.

So far there is one guy who claimed he got his cev banding upgraded, but there is no proof to that claim.

So far, I can see Vezel X co2 is around 129 to 139 g/km, according to LTA registration log. You can check this easily. all you need is the car registration number.

There are some pre-requisite requirements to meet, in order for PI toapply an "evolution coefficient factor" of 0.92 for the carbon emission reading of their cars - See more at: http://transport.asi...h.C8gyXzix.dpuf

one of the requirement is a certain minimum number of cars in a single bill of lading and re-test.

If a PI want to move their car fast, it would be easier to purchase old report to cut down the testing process stage.

But I believe we will soon see this upgrade when new shipments starts to come.

Rationalexuberance gave some good pointers. You must look at it in a total package. not just price alone.

Get everything in writing. For the pricing they give you, tell them to write down based on which rebate. write down coe rebate level and the need to top up or not. In the event if they quote you with band a3 rebate, if accorded to band a2 upgrade, get the PI to commit if the car price (excluding COE) will be lowered?

Engine mount can last at least 4 to 5 years for most cars. Wear and Tear item, normally not covered under warranty unless maybe it's a very new car. One set cost about 300++ and above depending on car brand

I understand that the new X model all CEV rebate at 15K... thus some PI already lower their price... not to mentioned who I spoke to.

Some PI their car price still based on 10K CEV rebate thus price higher.

When Bro Rationalexuberance highlighted to be I have got their in the sale agreement that is my new X model CEV to be 15K, they should refund me based on the paid sum of the new car...:)

So bro and sis pls note... hope you guys find my points helpful.

Just to share . after driving Vezel for 2 months plus, I accidently discover that if you tap your signal stick halfway, the signal light will on for 3-4 blink before it turning off automatically mountain tortoise me! [shocked]

It also seems that if one performs an emergency brake, hazard lights will come on automatically, as a safety feature...from what I've seen in the videos of HR-Vs...didn't get to try it though.

I too hear vibration when my ride travels on rough road. After checking here and there, the culprit is the microphone cable hidden in the ceiling board of the car.

so I am not surprise it comes from the camera or the accessories in the car.

My occasional vibrations experienced were from my front mounted recording camera. Once i damp it using my fingers, it will stop.

Guess the car's minute vibrations are at the natural frequency of the mounted cam causing max "amplitudinal resonance" if there is such a word hehe. Gave back my physics education to my teacher already hehe

The stranger thing about this new ruling is that it applies only to importers who bring in at least five cars under one bill of lading.

Think there is no way to deactivate it. Think it is like a light to indicate that we have locked our cars. Should be from the immobilizer.... don't think we have an alarm system in our car.

Why will gao wei leh? You are already not sitting in the car and staring at itwhen it comes on. With it blinking, I hope it deters thieves from touching our beloved cars.

I too hear vibration when my ride travels on rough road. After checking here and there, the culprit is the microphone cable hidden in the ceiling board of the car.

so I am not surprise it comes from the camera or the accessories in the car.

    My come from the IU.

    I think i prefer Hitachi!

Are you going there for servicing now? I do like the big glass windows where I can see the work done on the cars.

Thanks for re-organizing the list based on the PI. This makes it a lot easier to see which are the more popular PIs.

BTW, is Prime Cars = Prime Motor? There's no Prime Motor listed on the SGCarMart page for new Vezel. The only Prime Motor I could find online is "Prime Motor & Leasing" which seems to deal with used cars?

I have a question about COE. I've read that it's best to go for X number of guaranteed COE bids with no top-up. But say the PI keeps bidding at $57K, but the COE is always higher than that. Does that mean that eventually the deal will fall through since both sides agreed to no top-ups?

Thanks for re-organizing the list based on the PI. This makes it a lot easier to see which are the more popular PIs.

BTW, is Prime Cars = Prime Motor? There's no Prime Motor listed on the SGCarMart page for new Vezel. The only Prime Motor I could find online is "Prime Motor & Leasing" which seems to deal with used cars?

Don't know leh. That one was input by the owner themselves. I just sort them out.

I have a question about COE. I've read that it's best to go for X number of guaranteed COE bids with no top-up. But say the PI keeps bidding at $57K, but the COE is always higher than that. Does that mean that eventually the deal will fall through since both sides agreed to no top-ups?

Am not an expert one this. just my 2 cents. maybe I miss out something. other members please help.

I think you mean is COE cap ( value) -you will need to check and confirm with your PIifCOE keep going over the agreed cap.

    Very likely they don't deliver.

There are so many types, do understand carefully

If it is x number of bids guaranteed with no top-up, by right it does not matter if coe goes up/come down, PI must deliver on agreed date.

This is like a gamble. Usually there is no coe rebate or COE rebates set very high..

PI will laugh all the way to the bank if coe is low..

If COE goes up they will need to cut down their profit to deliver your car on the agreement date.

Apart from the accessories given, better to write down everything on your sales agreement:

    - no of bid/s,

    - when will they bid, (if indent)

    - top-up / no top-up

    - coe rebate value

    - coe cap

    - guaranteed delivery date, (if coe is alwaysabove cap how?)

    - cev rebate amount.

    ...etc...

And as always, usually contracts leans towards PI side.

The CEV rebate amount is usually already factored into the agreed price, right?

Usually Yes. But most did not indicate the CEV rebate amount. There is high chance CEV will be accorded higher banding. It will means less total money to register your car and less scrap value.

Current non hybrid Vezel CEV is band A3 ie $10K rebate (+/- $5K scrap value).

Potential upgrade to band A2 ie $15K rebate (+/- $2.5K scrap value)

So the car could be registered with a higher CEV rebate amount than what was indicated on the sales agreement? That means we pay more than what is necessary for the registration and yet get less money back on the scrap value, right? I wonder how likely the PI will refund the additional rebate. I guess this is another thing that we should put down in black and white - whether there will be a refund of the additional rebate in such cases.

After weeks of not seeing a single Vezel on the road after the first black one I saw that piqued my interest, I saw 3 Vezels in as many days. Blue one at my workplace, white one on my way to work, and a silver one yesterday. And yes, the silver one is very nice :D

Hi sis, from what I know, engine mounting is not expensive but WS and PI cannot say not under warranty. Yes, wear and tear parts are not warranty but this is exceptional wear and tear, less than 1-2 months. If you ask me, this is manufacturing defect.

Dear Bros thanks for advice. Waiting for WS to check if parts is availavle beforw next move.I had told WS to source and prepare to tell PI.

    LEEST

Engine mount can last at least 4 to 5 years for most cars. Wear and Tear item, normally not covered under warranty unless maybe it's a very new car. One set cost about 300++ and above depending on car brand

Thanks for the inform.WS mentioned unlikely new car got mounting issue. But, they have checked everywhere but can not find the fault. The sound disappeared only when they hold the engine tightly.

Yes, could be accorded a higher CEV band. This is under LTA jurisdiction. PI can apply, LTA will decide.

So far, till now, no one came with proof that they got the upgrade yet.

You will know, when you see your vehicle asset. So, all new owners, I know you are excited and eager with your new baby, do check your vehicle asset. it will show all the details of your car registration.

This is the precise question I asked 2 pages back, and I think what you said is correct. Hence it is important to indicated what happens when changed in CEVS into the Agreement. Especially true for those paid price based on $10K CEVS.

Just dunno if something else is missing cos I was confused when one PI say they based on $10K CEVS priced $115K (let's say) and if CEVS is $15K, they do not rebate and yes the scrap value would be lower (and you paid higher). They warned against those priced $109K (based on $15K CEVS) with potential topup ... I quiz her ... "Isn't that better?" ... she just grinned? Note that this PI delivers the most Vezel per list. So I lagi confused.

So in conclusion, make sure all spell out in Agreement about selling price, CEVS and any rebate if CEVS changes.

I had an engine problem with my Picnic last year, wasn't sure what's the problem and didn't fix immediately. Even when confirm 1 out 4/5 damper was worn off ... I didn't fix immediately cos was quoted $500+ (incl. labour). Dragged for weeks before fixing ... then the noise and vibration went away. My advice is get it fixed immediately, I was told the vibrartion may damage other parts of car. Maybe coincidental ... but I had many small problems after than radiator leak, alternator failed, aircond fan failing etc.

If it is x number of bids guaranteed with no top-up, by right it does not matter if coe goes up/come down, PI must deliver on agreed date.

This is like a gamble. Usually there is no coe rebate or COE rebates set very low..

Thanks for the inform.WS mentioned unlikely new car got mounting issue. But, they have checked everywhere but can not find the fault. The sound disappeared only when they hold the engine tightly.

LEEST, I hope you can sort out the issue asap and not getting a lemon.

can we apply lemon law if WS unable to rectify the problem?

I had an engine problem with my Picnic last year, wasn't sure what's the problem and didn't fix immediately. Even when confirm 1 out 4/5 damper was worn off ... I didn't fix immediately cos was quoted $500+ (incl. labour). Dragged for weeks before fixing ... then the noise and vibration went away. My advice is get it fixed immediately, I was told the vibrartion may damage other parts of car. Maybe coincidental ... but I had many small problems after than radiator leak, alternator failed, aircond fan failing etc.

When car ages, usually one issue after another. But do try to fix everything ASAP for a safe n comfort ride. Ur shocks 500 is considered very ok price even labor may not b included.

    1. Hup Long
    2. CarTimes
    3. Autolink
    4. Leco Prestige
    5. AutoLux

Reckon safer to go with those with some track record. My question is ... if all consider equal or insignificant, which of these PIs offer best servicing centre? Made queries with CarTimes, the lady claim their service centre is nearby in Ubi.

Does any particular service centre is better than the rest? Pls share your experience in terms of price/cost, technical expertise, convenience of location and overall experience. I was using AD for servicing for first 5yrs then decided to use AutoSaver ... last 2yrs ... just use nearby workshop for convenience. Reckon AD service Centre is expensive and overrated ... probably makes sense when under warranty only. After that just need a trust worthy workshop who will not cheat you.

    Appreciate your 2cents on this.

All eyes are on Sister LEEST's engine mounting sound problem. since workshop has fetermined that is the culprit causing the vibration sound, and is not under their warranty,we would wanna see how her PI settlw this case..

So in conclusion, make sure all spell out in Agreement about selling price, CEVS and any rebate if CEVS changes.

yes,we have fellow bros alredy buying with deals set with confirmed 15k rebate pricing, lowest of lows with no top up. and COE rebate set at last closing COE price.find those and u wun go wrong. if happen cev rebate turns out to be 10k,u have benefitted

note that dealers change their pricing strategy from time to time..or at least the clever ones do..this is to line up to their own orders and shipment timings. if have ready stock, sure wud price low and move it fast. i wud go for those.

at the end of the day, we sell our old car high and we will buy high for the new one....... if COE drops, we sell our car lower and buy the new car lower too :p

Bro, my wife's car was bought at 29k with 5.5yrs to drive 4 yrs back. Now mkt price can fetch over 20k still, maybe trade in a tad under 20k. Scrap value at the end is abouth 9k only. Have to calculate opportunity cost vs real costs. Although real sunken cost has more weight

I think bros here who buy from PI can give alot of credit for the car's maintenance, warranty etc. I bought from PI for the 1st time as well, experience was very good, now looking at after mkt service and follow through. Would have preferred another workshop though, hard to talk man to this one, when i wanna use my own engine oil.

This is a tough one bro. All of us buy from different PI and they have their own WS. We are assigned different WS during collection of the car and thus could not compare with other WS. But so far from this forum, seems like hitachi capital has a proper setup and TLC use them as their appointed WS.

I think apart from the list of PI, you should also consider if they are a direct importer. I understand that if any recall (touch wood), a direct importer has to repair/replace the parts even if after warranty period as required by LTA.

    Good luck on your hunting!

because the workshop can close shop anytime and your warranty will go up lorry
this depends in the tie-up between PI and workshop
when PI outsource their warranty and servicing to the specific workshop, they also outsource the risk to the said workshop ... wash hand once you drive your car out of showroom
buying from PI do need to consider the workshop

My own interpretation of this PI type warranty is "BS" lar haha :)

When you pay so little for warranty coverage, we would not expect unlimited cover like AD. When the true need for a claim comes, I believe they will start to play "snake and ladder", but to me fair, this is my interpretation and assumption drawing relation to similar type warranty sold for resale cars.

I doubt if you do a blind test you can really feel the difference between the direct injection vezel vs the port injected hrv. It's a similar engine except for the the direct injection. More likely is the better fuel efficiency of the DI.

But did heard previous cartimes did allow test drive...( not sure now still have or not)
U may give them a call to ask ?
Maybe other bro that have shop around may advice you more.

Im sick of hitting my exhaust when I reverse park. Vezel will take away this problem. Sedan may not have leg room problem but it doesn't have much headroom to shout about. Suv therefore the solution for me but the typical big brother 2.0L 1.5-6tons machine is no fun to me as it drinks. But this Vezel is good on F? as well and may even be better than some conventional 1.5L sedan. So why not?

ya that's what i tot about good space too. I too wanted to buy a real suv something like tuscon and rav 4.
Technically vezel is not a suv, to be exact it's more like a sedan specs with small suv coupe stance. And i guess that's what attracts us.
1.5 ltr sedan price and fuel consumption small suv looks.
Saw today's vezel price at sg carmart. Actually not much difference in terms of price drop despite the drop in the last bidding.
interestingly it cost the same as altis now. But altis has higher omv as its cevs rebate is only 5k. Meaning same selling price with higher parf rebate

to me the most appreciate is 1.5NA can produce 129bhp,

10+ years ago my 1.5L Vtec City only 104bhp

with better technology now, engine can take higher compress ratio with the same engine displacement for higher output. I wonder whywhy other japan cars never follow suit( except mazda).
The downside of higher compression ratio is carbon built up and chances of "knocking"and higher pistion wear and tear

Bro, i pegged vezel to compare with qashqai and juke. During the times when altis was around 60-70k, qashqai was 80plus k if i am not wrong, though omv was about similar. No doubt altis has a higher omv after taking cevs rebate into consideration, but to me vezel is a compact suv, which usually there is a premium price to such compared to sedan. Not to mention the higher specs and better fc even compared to altis. Plus kawaii vs sawadeeka...

Just to add on , on the gear box ..after driving for 3 month plus ,the cvt gearbox on the vezel is a gem ..imaging cruising at 80 km/h your engine rpm is only 1500rpm and 100km/h is hovering around 1750rpm+- there.
