    Hi everyone,

I got my Vezel X model last month in Dec. The ride was great and everything was well until today.

i found the following metal piece at the driver's side floor mat. It appears to have dropped from the steering wheel section.

Does anyone know what this is? [confused]

My solution to solve the lack of storage space problem in the car. Good enough for parking coupons and a small notebook.

    Hi

The latest OVM for Vezel X is around $18k. The CEVS rebate for Co2 for the car is around $5k but based on OneMotoring website, it ended at Dec 2014. Hence can I assumed the PARF is $9k after utilizing the car for full 10 years ??

Went to the motor show today and ask KM about HRV. No info except coming mid year, 1.5l from thailand. Trying to connivence me all same same, even the engine.

Tried some of the SUV there. I must say that Ford Kuga (1.6l) interior is very chio but cost $164k. I have soft spot for Qashqai as I tested the 2.0l before diving into vezel, The 1.2 turbo is comparative but have serious doubt with engine capacity/performance with only 115PS pulling a 1880kg monster ($128k).

Hi all seasoned car buyers...may i ask if the car you want is already sitting in the PI showroom ready to put a coe to it and drive off. Would the dealer already be able to provide OMV,ARF and CEV figures???

All I know is that the material for the whole is not real leather as the real one dries and crack easily. Not sure if that non-real leather means PVC.

I was told it was PVC.

Hi all seasoned car buyers...may i ask if the car you want is already sitting in the PI showroom ready to put a coe to it and drive off. Would the dealer already be able to provide OMV,ARF and CEV figures???

It depends if that particular vehicle is VETL & VITAS ready. If it is, with coe and insurance you can register the vehicle immediately.

I would think based on invoice submitted to customs, then OMV was determined by them.

Mind you, different batches of the same model, can have different OMV value, due to currency exchange fluctuations.

I have 2 friends, same model; from 2 different PIs. Both OMVs are different, of course equals to different ARF paid and with the same CEV rebate value. Their PARF is $4K+ and the other $5K+.

From OMV, ARF is determined and then fromactual test or purchased testreport, CEVbanding allocated.

Usually these vehicles with same specs, were submitted in batches for Vetl & Vitas. All of them in the same batch will have the same OMV, ARF and CEV rebatesutilization value.Another shipment with the same configuration submitted on different time may not have the same OMV and ARF value as previous batch. CEV banding based on purchased report can be the same for different batches.

perhaps anzz and mistercars could correct the above?

Not true. All the while Vezels CEV falls in band A3 ie $10K

Attached show is latest Vezel X and S registration.

    cev_rebate_utilize_zps6145049c.jpg

Anyway there is this evolution coefficient factor which very likely to upgrade Vezel CEV banding from A3 to A2.

"The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has agreed to a request by parallel importers to apply an "evolution coefficient factor" of 0.92 for the carbon emission reading of their cars.

I wonder for hybrid, now existing 15k CEV rebate, after factoring coefficient will it get the full 20k rebate (5k min ARF payable).

I wonder for hybrid, now existing 15k CEV rebate, after factoring coefficient will it get the full 20k rebate (5k min ARF payable).

According to specs Vezel Hybrid co2 Emission is 86 g/km. It should falls under cat Band A1 ie $20K

    http://www.carfolio....car/?car=371657

I am not sure what is the co2 emission grading done here.

I am also not sure the OMV for hybrid (I could not find any data locally yet) perhaps some hybrid bros here can check their vehicle asset to see theCEV band rebate received and PARF value as a general reference fornew buyers.

    Min ARF payable is $5K.

If Hybrid OMV exceeds $20K there is a tiered 140% tax after $20K level.

Assuming Hybrid CEV is $20K. Unless your OMV is $25K and above you should be accorded the maximum rebate.

    If your OMV is $23K then your rebate will be $18K only. ($23K - $18K = $5K)

Noticed Vezel now is marked with 113g CO2. That mean the car is qualify for $15k rebate.

The OMV is around $18857. At the end of the 10 years, the owner will get zero ?

    (18857/2) - $15000 (CEVS)

Not sure if I understand correctly the formula !

Just curious. If COE was back at 2008 levels, how much would Vezel be priced at? Let's not take cevs rebate into consideration. I am not sure if I am wrong but cevs rebate seems to benefit more of the dealers compared to consumers, as this rebate seems to push up car prices instead. Ultimately it is our own money.

If Vezel is on band A2 ($15K Rebate)

    $18857 (OMV) - $15000 (CEV Rebate) = $3857 (less than $5K - no can do)

    $18857 -$ 13857 = $5000 (payable ARF)

    PARF = $5000 /2 = $2500 (estimate)

Hi bro. I purchase fm Hup Long, so I can't say much about car times. Hup long has 3 workshop and I am assigned to World Auto, with 3 years warranty, no free servicing. Did my first 1k servicing. Workshop is not bad, quite big, organized, friendly and experience workshop manager. He explain in very detail about engine oil to be used. One of my personal importance is buying from direct importer, cause they have to honor repair if there is any recall even after warranty period. PM me if u need my SE contract.

I upgraded my HU to gps and paid about $400+. This is my first time using a HU gps and I don't like it. It is unlike a smartphone gps where u can select the route u wish to take. I understand that some bro here intergrate the HU with their smartphone.

just came back fr auto-megamart ubi c--t---s. they able to offer test drive, subject to them going thru car w u. took about 1hr+ b4 test drive arranged. quite a crowd there.

initial impression for X model test driven - pickup reasonable for 1.5l w 3 adults n a 7yo kid. put into S mode gear will drag more before upshift - also mean u have slightly better engine brake. as many has commented, engine really noisy at some 3.5k rpm, n i felt twas not as smooth as say, 1.8l sohc i-vtec used in honda civics n streams. suspension was on firm side, esp rear, when going over smaller but higher humps - i think if go over speed regulating strips will b kinda on harsher side. good thing chassis is tight so car feels rigid n handling should b better around bends. steering-wise, i feel kinda out of tune a lil, like doesn't really point to where u wanna go for a split moment (or mayb i drivin 7yo ride used to it, but it still has no steering free play at all).

what i don't really like - besides engine roar (if it sounded smoother, i'd have appreciated it more) the engine start-stop kinda vibrated somewat before shut down / or was it starting up (didn't notice rpm). speakers' quality, esp rear ones, not so good, similar / slightly better than toyota corolla altis / mazda 5. as a gauge, mazda 3 & suzuki s-cross sound quality r the best in cat A range imho.

conclusion - if priced at 11-k for X or even S model, i would seriously consider this ride despite my negative comments about it.

Without depressing the brake pedal, the car goes into ACC mode.

When the car is in ACC mode, there is DC power to some electronics. The whrrrr sound is the relays activating to enable DC power.

In a regular car with turn key, when turned only to ACC mode, the whrrr sound be still there :)

Could someone elaborate more about the benefits of buying from a direct importer when cars being recalled by honda.
And who are the direct importers?
    Is cartimes one?

What are the risk of buying from PI after we have gotten the cars from them? In terms of maintenance and warranty.

Sorry a noob here but really like to buy the vezel.

Mine is a Pioneer 2650BT HU, can't figure out how to integrate and use Google Apps on AppRadio mode - any bros here can advise?

I am using it with a iPhone 6 via Bluetooth.. when connected I can see the iPod icon but the Apps icon is greyed out on the HU.

    TIA.

Welcome to the confusing world of parallel importers. [dizzy]

Go to any PI and it seems all of them will claim they are direct importer. [lipsrsealed]

....claimed to have sold 90 vezels.....sold 50 vezels...etc do you really see that many.?

If you add up as per claimed by each PI there will be a few hundreds on the road.

Yes there are more on the road now, but some of the PIs exaggerate their numbers to impress you.

I would like to know too

It really boils down to how much you know the PI. I bought 4 PIs cars before. My first PI car I bought from a very reputable big direct importer which I was a walk in customer. Plenty of issues, such as late delivery, did not bid COE despite guaranteed bidding. And it does not end after I managed to get my car - the car got issue within a year and I had to claim warranty, the PI denied. Worse part, the SE left shortly and the boss even siam me when I called up or go down tp the shop, and I quickly sell away the car. It's a honda make somemore. Subsequently I swear I only buy parallel import cars if I know the boss directly. Eventually I bought my next 3 cars from a mutual friend whom I got to know from one of my colleagues in the past 10 years. No issue thus far. Even minor stuff I go back to them and they helped me rectify. Just my personal experience.

May i ask..for warranty claims, nowadays the risks are being transferred to big workshops. Do we still even need the PI to be present to claim warranty? My experience is sometimes because it was the PI who paid for the warranty, the workshops do not disclose prior service information or major repairs when you take over the car...in particular 2nd hand. Then again, it could be P&C info that the workshops are obliged to keep. However whether workshops share info to dealers behind closed doors is everybody's guess, since they bring so much business to workshops over the years..

Hi SY70, my 1st tank clocked 12.1km/l (basee on actual MILLAGE travelled since last top up reset-to-zero divided by new tank-top-up VOLUME). Don really trust the Meter reading on the display.
I am currently monitoring on my 2nd tank,.

Just to update. My 2nd Tank clocked 12.0km/l. (Base on actual calculation)
(ECO : ON. Start-Stop function as usual. Below 90km/h speed. Not more than 2,700 rpm Rev. 90%-City/10%-HW.)
Not too impress but 50% more better than my previous car of 8km/l.

AD car are made in Thailand/Indonesia , while PI are made in Japan. I will prefer the PI car.

This is one of the car I shortlisted when my COE expired in 1yrs+.

Previously my concern for PI is very basic equipment, but this car seems to be very well equiped. Much better than those

    sell by AD.

Eg.. Altis only come with 2 airbag.. [thumbsdown][thumbsdown]

PI no factory fitted in-car entertainment system which i don't like , even a van like Opel or Fiat also got nice factory fitted HU . i saw Thai made Honda HRV real tail light is much nicer (like PI Hybrid model) , and i like sunroof , it go along with SUV car very well .

They do bro. You just cannot use mobile app to order. Need to order via desktop version. And as for ghe courier, you can just directly use theirs. So far has been ok but do note quality may not be satisfactory to most. If really want bodykit, I will probably wait a while more. My opinion lah.

Unless under special case, you are not allowed to transfer your vehicle during the first 3 months.

Within the 4th to 6th month, there is additional levy.

I can see some ofyou are eager to make some enhancement to your rides.

Some of the attachment if not inspected by LTA will be deemed illegal.

Worst still some insurance company will make this an issue.

So, you better check, especially with your insuranceso that you know your situation..

Maybe I am interpreting it wrongly but the AL (additional levy) is payable only if the QP has increased during the 4th and 6th month of vehicle registration date.

That means, if QP is down, the AL may not be applicable.
