Just for discussion's sake, I found out that for $120k, you could buy a Vezel or a 2012 Volvo S60, or a 2012 BMW X1.

Which would you choose and why? =)

Does it mean that they have the car or not?

If Yes, then why no viewing?

Hi kelvin, i think you misinterpretted..

"No obligation for View" meaning you can view with no obligation to buy from them. See only also can.. [:p]

Frankly, it depends a lot on your luck..

    My 1st used-car was 8-yrs old & I can drive it for another 2-years w/o problem.

I ever got another used-car that was 5-years old but I gotta spent almost $10k within 1st year to replace a lot of "major" components..

So you see... its a lot depends on your luck & perhaps the experience in chosing a correct used car.. [scholar]

Hrv is 1.8 due to fuel quality in south east Asia. Unlikely the 1.5 direct injection will last with the fuel quality in Thailand and Indonesia. Main issue would be the sulphur in the fuel. That's why we also had many issues when Mitsubishi launched their lancer GDI in Singapore in 2001. Our fuel then still had rather high sulphur content. Many GDI engines died a premature death.

So if you travel north and into Thailand often it's better to get the hrv. Fuel in Malaysia should be ok.

I think they are trying to help but at same time earn some low margin profit and make a name for themselves. After buying my car, my friend dealing with use car told me that I should have place order with him. He can direct import and charge me a minimum fee for paper work and some low profit margin, all transparent. In any case, at least they are not asking for any down-payment until bidding for COE.

bro i have a second hand car dealer friend who also offered me after i got from CARTIMES, he laso said the same thing

apparently many bigger PIs usually order in many stock from japan and then sell to other smaller PI if they want stock

also the bigger more established PI will bring in stock to test mkt first before committing to ordering more cars in.

so the smaller ones will get stock from them.

thats why go for more established PI better, sure got stock, but will charge higher

Can anyone advise is the X model or S model a better buy assuming the top up amount from X to S is 5k.

    Thanks

Just my personal opinion & preference..

If financially allow, S-model is better buy. Just the "Paddle Shift" & 17" Rim already strong point..

Paddle shift : excellent for over taking during drive.

17" Rim : no need to negotiate with SE cos it comes standard for "S"

Activate brake hold is okay bro. This function is for when stop, u do not have to continuously step on the brake. U can let go steeping the brake but the car still stop until u press the accelerator to release the brake hold. It does not harm to your car.

Just dun pull the hand brake button. Actually I am wondering what will happen during car moving and accidentally pull the hand brake, not forgetting this is a electronic hand brake. Will the car suddenly stop or smart enough not to activate it?

B63 is also my audio installer, company name is LINK Auto. The boss told me that they bring in fm Taiwan. Was suppose to arrive end Nov but shipment delay.

Wah bro, yr package power lah. So many good stuff.

For the front and back sensor, I think u need to install a on/off switch for the front sensor. If not every time u go near a car (front) your sensor will go beeping.

Finally collectedmy car after 4.5 months of waiting :) Do you any of you experience beeping sound when you go over a hump?

Did you install any in car recorder? Might be impact detected, thus the beep beep.

Can change sensitivity settings accordingly if that is the case.

Any bro/sis here planning to install roof racks on your Vezel? Care to advise what you are using?

I read it actually causes noise and reduces FC.

I currently have a rear mounted rack but i am concerned that the mounting straps to the top of the rear will cause stress on the spoiler and break it. Model i am using is Saris Bones RS.

Any bros/sis here using bike racks in such a condition can advise?

    Thanks

    K

Activate brake hold is okay bro. This function is for when stop, u do not have to continuously step on the brake. U can let go steeping the brake but the car still stop until u press the accelerator to release the brake hold. It does not harm to your car.

Just dun pull the hand brake button. Actually I am wondering what will happen during car moving and accidentally pull the hand brake, not forgetting this is a electronic hand brake. Will the car suddenly stop or smart enough not to activate it?

Personally I don't like the feelings after the brake hold function being activate. I feel the brake pedal become too electric control when you try to step on the brake during the stopping distance. It also hard to do parking once the function is activated.

Yes, i have a car recorder. So that's where it is coming from :)

Thanks. I saw another white Vezel iirc, 2 days back on Nicoll HW, away from town, at 9pm.

I note that the S Cross Suzuki FWD, 115hp/156nm, with 1185kg kerbweight, 0-100 is 12.6 sec. I understand that comes standard w 17 inch. Was thinking could it be the large rims that result in the not fantastic sprint. FC also at 16km/L.

Is there info on the Vez's 0-100 time ?

Come to think of it, for petrol NA, the 1st is used by Camry 2.0 & the 2nd by Camry 2.5/Odyssey 2.4.
