Hopefully the new CVT are more reliable.

1) yes 4 but with additional capacitors at the back to help support the plugs
2) CVT gearbox is good not great , its about general maintenance- make sure u change correct CVT oil every 35k-40K interval, if kiasu, every 25k-30K to ensure smooth transmission

I do some cut and paste and do some minorre-typing.

Hi Bro,

Do ask for the application number to check with LTA. Usually should clear inspection by now. My November batch already cleared on the same month & ready for registration.

Thanks Bro.
Usually a month but for year end I can't comments anything. Once PI bring in their cars, they have to clear VETL emissions test 1st than apply for VITAS inspection. Well it might not always 1 month case too, I have almost close to 2 months case. It safer to ask for the Application Number to prove that it in the process. I will always show all my customer the VITAS letter with the APPLY & APPROVAL date. If PI can't show you BL or LTA Vitas letter means they are not the direct importers or something fishy.

Great info bro for those who are still waiting. However I dun think many PI will give such details.

VETL emission test is done to determine CEV banding for upfront CEV Rebate and Dyno Test to determine Cat A or Cat B, I assume.
After that thenthe standard VITAS Inspection.

As for PI not able to produce LTA VITAS approval letter or Bill Lading, I am more inclined thatthey are not direct importer.

Hi does anyone know if the Vezel comes with orig speakers install? Understand the HU is not install but provided by PI. Thanks
Yes. It comes with it. The speakers are installed at the factory..
Beginning to notice this after one of my friend got this, haiz my van still have 4 years to go. But itch keep coming, will wait till after my holidays to go down and have a look
Take the medicine to cure (buy the Vezel) your itch
I think Autolink is one direct importer. I saw shipment arrival schedule clearly displayed in their office and is regularly updated.
I wonder who my PI get the car from...

i bargained for 5 yrs and got it!

wah really, my 1st 1k servicing was free and i use luiqmoly oil and filter
just did my 1k servicing too.. liqui molly 15w-40.. yeah bro, i also didnt pay anything, part of the package..
the loan may b 10 years, or there's balloon paymt at end of tenure, or "leasing" scheme.
Agreed that we should check & double check. I remember asking Hyundai before buying vezel. Buy car w/o paper value for the first 5 years and after 5 years can sell car or take another loan to buy paper value .... got loop hole.
Was at Ubi Autobacs today at around 5pm. Saw another black vezel there. Burn $120+ on accessaries.
I wonder who my PI get the car from...
Just to add - I saw all the cars brought in by Autolink comes with the Steering Audio Control. PI told me they make this standard for all the cars they imported.

Actually, you paid for this already bro. There is always cost to it and definitely PI will not give you free. The cost is already factor in your purchased price.
So many accessories at autobacs? Electronics n lighting aside, Unless it's for car care, tools, seat pads, organizer, I'm unlikely to spend so much there. We buy within our means and make choices according to our risk appetite.

Totally agree.

Sometimes, it is about owning something at least once in a life time. I have not bought myself a new car before. This is my first brand new car. However, echoing what you said, "We buy within our means and make choices according to our risk appetite.". I was thinking of the new Harrier before but decided Vezel as it is within my means.

The is the "Too good to be true" price. Any bro already got your Vezel at the price please share!I came across this PI called Executive Auto. They promise to deliver Honda Vezel model X for $108k 1 bid gteed Coe. Most PIs selling above $118k. Anyone bought cars from them before and any feedbacks? Thank you.

Good deal...but dunno can deliver or not. There's always risk until somebody collect their cars from them.

108K, sounds too good to b true imo.
-even though its Honda, I will still avoid Dry dct. Could be more for europe since their conditions there are less hazardous. Also, europeans tend to reject CVT and/or even AT.
Understand that as of some years back, out of 10 cars sold in europe, 9 are mt, 1 at. Opposite of Sg.

The main different is LED headlight other option I'm not too sure. Just book a s model last week for slightly over 120K, come with 17 inch rim, roof rail and paddle shifter.
Actually got quite a bit difference..
1) roof rack
2) leather stitch gear knob
3)extra sound proofing
4) color side skirt
5) paddle shift
6) 17 inch rims
7) sport pedal
8) dunno is it heated seat or what as cannot understand jap..
I might be getting S becos of the sound proofing and the paddle shift
The showroom s model also come with lighted vanity mirror and painted dark gross lower lip all round.Actually got quite a bit difference..

I was told by some one that changing the wheel size may void the warranty for some cars. Anyone know whther Vezel has such policy? I undederstand that some bros here have done it. Can these bros help to answer if you know?
Many thanks.
Not sure if x model has it. Maybe some bro here can help to confirm this. But the s doesn't come with steering audio control as standard features has to request for it.
X no lighted vanity?

Yeah. Lighted vanity I am unsure. The steering audio don't seem to be a standard for any of the models apparently. It is more like a luck or if you insist, then you have it kind of thing?
Most running in car are using Xw40 or w50. The reason is these oil are thicker to protect the engine during run-in. However, it also reduce FC by using these grade of oil. Both w40 or 50 oil are also use in high performance car where the friction and rpm is higher. Vezel manual actually recommended 0w-20 for Japan usage. Personally, I think 0w30 or 5w30 should be the better choice after run-in. I'm currently using 0w40 for my 1000km service.Bros... Whats the difference of mineral and synthetic oil? Which one better?
And most bros here uses Xw40.... Any reason?
Why not Xw30?

New engine should use thinner oil W30 to maximize the fuel efficiency . In fact, the car manual recommended oil is Xw20.

SE called shipment delay... My maroon needs to wait till mid Feb 2015.

I have no experience with PI .... anyone whom has bought the car has strong recommendation for their PI.

If the AD bring in the Vezel, it would be a no brainer.

Bros, another question. Minerial Oil is used during run in period? After 10000km then use synthetic oil?

During run in period oil change at 1Kkmand 5K, so it is more cost effectively using cheaper mineral oil. After that switch to more exp synthetic oil that can last for 10K km.

This should be rubbish. So far I only heard before changing wheels void INSURANCE. lol, if any of you guys remember the Av*v* Insurance case. Back then, they were dead strict on no modifications beyond manufacturer's specifications. So when you file a claim, and it's your fault, they first examine very thoroughly to check your car for modifications. Once they find a modification, they can use that to void and refund your insurance, and then leave you on your own.

However, now I think they not as strict for rims replacement liao after all that complain and backlash. Still, it's consumers duty to practice due diligence. :) Do check carefully first.

Buy a popular Japanese car model from PI should be no problem cos JDM car are quite reliable and spare parts are easily available in SG. Most importantly, it is at least 10K cheaper that same model bring in by AD.
To play safe for any recall, buy from those PI who are also direct importer, such Autolink or Hup long.
I travel opp from you AYE-KPE-TPE smooth all the way until TPE towards changi only TPE side a bit congested. Only around 14.4 km/l with my current ride,If you travel my route then maybe u can get 20 km/l and above?

Heard from KM that HRV will be in next year Q1/2. Price range and specs no updates yet but prob around 120-130K assuming similar COE as of current. But definitely sawadeeka. So wouldone wait for this or get from PI? AD probable will throw in paddleshifters, etc. But if tranny still CV Tthen I do not see much difference.

Cheers

Damn, I already booked. If the group buy price can be better and trustworthythen I wouldn't mind reconfirming. PM me if anyone wish to know my deal.
hmm anything will be missed coming from a CRV driver? dun really mind the car body is smaller but other than that?

can try lol
so far my normal route of TPE-SLE-BKE-KJE-PIE - about 17-19km/l of speeds btw 70 to 100km/h very gentle on the accelerator - note morning public holiday traffic, no jams

Bro, I'm currently driving a CRV also. Main concerns about CRV are only the petrol consumption and easier wearing out of the tyres. Other than that I'm still happy with my ride which is definitely reliable and stable. But I'm changing to Vezel after seeing the car. Size-wise of course CRV feels bigger in terms of width and boot space. Torque wise of course cannot compare but I'm satisfied with Vezel's pick-up though. I'm not a choenster so CVT is ok for me, but CRV 5AT is of course more responsive. But still acceptable for Vezel. Being 300kg lighter and with the earth dream technology (though still i-vtec), I am buying it for it's fuel efficiency nevertheless.
I may be wrong, but personally I feel that CRV may lose it's value with this Vezel coming on board. Of course hard to compare a 1.5 and a 2.0/2.4, but I have a feeling most people in future would go for Vezel compared to CRV due to the price difference. Henceforth I think I better quickly trade in my CRV for Vezel! Again, this is just IMHO.

Thks for the feedback bro!
In some way its true, CRV may lose some market share in the near future as more are going for more fuel efficient and compact suv's
the price will also make the CRV less attractive.
However, with technological improvements and all, the CRV may get improvements and all, thats something we will anticipate, but for now the VEZEL and HRV will be taking more cake in the market share for compact SUV

oh yah bro forgot to add i sometimes go by your way too, usually after work, and it will jam from Jurong town road AYE part...and that will affect the fuel consumption man....xian....
